The world was dark before Him, but it was light enough for Him to see. He was in a small clearing in a dense forest, alone. The trees aroun looked dense, and menacing, and a purple fog swirled at thier bases. The sky was full of purple-tinted clouds. All was quite, all was still.
Then, with a loud crash, many strange and horrific-looking creautres, entirely black as if just a shadow. He reached for His rifle, but it was gone. He reached for his Submachine guns, but they were gone. He was completely unarmed. He grabbed a tree branch that had fallen on the ground, and swung it around like a bat. The branch felt odd, weightless, but He paid no attention.
The tall creature dodged the branch, and hit Him in the side. The pain washed over Him, but fizzled away. He was thrown to a tree, and impelled several times from the low branches. Then it all stood still as a gap in the clouds was torn, revealing the Moon.
"Enough."
He recognized the voice. Head Hunter felt himself slowly float to the ground, all wounds gone. There was not even a hole in his shirt.
The Moon shone bright in one single beam, and in the moonbeam was carried a beautiful woman, fair skinned, with long, shinning dark hair. She was wearing a dark purple dress that flowed in a nonexistant wind. She looked familiar to Head Hunter, though he had never seen her. Or, at least, never in that form.
"Lady Luna? What... What is happened here?" He said, confused.
"You are in a dream. Now that I am here, you are safe." A soft smile graced her lips. "This is the first time in weeks that you have slept long enough to enter dream mode."
"I guess you can say that..." Head Hunter looked at all the shadow creatures, then back at Luna. "What are those things, my Lady?"
Luna walked up to a the skinniest of the pack, and touched it on the center. Light slowly worked its way around the creature, reveling it to be a life-less version of Scout. Luna walked around the circle, reveling all the creatures except two.
"These are all of your fears. They are ignored, so they attacked in mass tonight. You are good at ignoring your fear, and such ability servers you well. However, you have to learn when to face those fears inside of hide them."
She started to walk into the forest, then stoped, and turn back around. "You know, this is the first time I have done this for a human. That is why I look like this. I have done this with Ponies, Griffons, even a Diamond Dog once. Always this happens." She took another step to the forest, then pointed at the last two shadows. "She is beautiful, smart, and skillful. You have a right to those two fears."
With that, she vanished into the forest.
Head Hunter looked back at the two shadows, and saw them reveled as the Female Red Sniper with the sly grin and the brown hair. One was lifeless, but the more menacing one was that of pure fury.
...
Though Head Hunter's sleep was unrest-full, Scout seemed genuinely happy. Ellen was searching out perches for the next hit, and Raven Holm was picking up supplies.
With a bright grin, Scout walked up to the Head Hunter, who was sitting at the desk, and said, "Hey pal, good morn'in! Are you alright by the way? During the night you were freaking out! I couldn't even sleep with your murmurings! Like seriously, since this girl is here you seem to be more and more like a married man!"
This hit Head Hunter with a start."Married man? What the hell are... Uh... Actually. No. Stop. I don't want you reading to far into this. She is a co-worker, and thankfully not in right now."
Scout pulled a grin that the Cheshire Cat would envy, then replied, "Don't tell me you don't like her... I remember the way you looked at her when I first met her..." He shrugged. "Before you say anything I don't care at all! Just let me sleep at night and next time pay attention, I thought you were supposed to shoot that guy..."
Head Hunter opened his mouther to correct Scout, but them paused.
"Well... Okay, three things: One, we "Ellen and I" have known each other longer than I have known you. Two, if we can make it look like our targets died of natural causes, or by accident, not only do we get a bonus from... Our Employer... There is one less death we are blamed for. We just suck at the 'making-it-look-like-an-
accident' part. And three, We really need to either get a second hotel room, or... I don't know, buy a house... Or make a... a 'Bat Cave.' Whatever your into."
"I see you are trying to avoid the answer. But once again, I don't care!" Said Scout, slightly annoyed because he still had troubles with his grief for Rainbow Dash, though he was working through it. "Let's just get over this job and that's it! Can't you we take out more targets on one night? You have seen me succed alone, I can easily take out anyone and we will be done in no time! Umm... Who is our employer by the way?"
Head Hunter scanned the room, slightly paranoid that someone may be listening in on there conversation. He leaned closer to Scout, and spoke in a low voice. "I assume you have meet Princess Celestria? Well, she is not... Right, mentally, right now. That is what caused the whole rebellion, not to mention our jobs. Princess Luna, Lady of the Night, Watcher of Dreams, and Keeper of the Moon is our employer."
He paused to let his words sink in a little. He leaned back in his chair.
Then He Continued, "As to your other question... I guess he can do dual hits. The thought never crossed my mind. Though, that would mean that Raven Holm would have to be in to places at once on some nights. I think we should pursue this course of action."
As Scout thought this all over, Head Hunter noticed a small object siting atop the pile of Scout's stuff. He pointed to it then asked, "What is that? A souvenir from last night?"
"Oh, that garbage?" Asked Scout as he walked to his night stand that had everything that belonged to him atop it. He didn't want to waste time sorting everything as it would have taken even longer to find anything. Scout picked up the object, and, as it was in the dark before, turned around to show it to Head Hunter. He turned it few times like he was examining it.
"I wouldn't exactly call this a souvenir, I found this on my way back here, it's a... uhm... Better see it for yourself!" Said Scout as he threw it.
It was device that had a triangular form, with three holes in it's front side that were slightly bigger on the other end. It also had some kind of a switch on it on one of its sides, but the whole thing was black, so it was hard to see.
"Looks like some sort of... Well, I don't know." Head Hunter mumbled as he got a closer look. "Hey, what does..." He trailed off as he hit a switch in the back of the device and the red dots appeared on the wall to his left.
"A Laser pointer? Maybe some kind of hunting laser? I think I remember, in the Mann Co. Weapons book, the Contraband Weapons section, some sort of weapon that had three lasers. It was like a spear gun or somethin'. You said you found this on Sir Richard's Body?" He asked, with one eye-brow raised.
"Nope, I found it somewhere nearby I heard some kind of a noise so I looked, but there was nothing! Well, except this thing. As no one was around I decided to..." Scout shrugged. "Well, take it, I don't think anyone will need it anyways, it's just a laser pointer... Ya know,I never actually shot a weapon that had a laser pointer on it. Nothin really special about them, anyways." Said Scout as he looked back at his pile of junk. He took out the cleaner's carbine that he used on the mission and examined it.
Head Hunter leaned in a bit."I noticed you specifically didn't use that last mission. Don't worry, you will need it eventually. Do you like it though? I am sure we can find another silenced or silence-able weapon if you need something smaller." Head Hunter stood up and ran with fingers through his exposed hair. This job is either going to get worse before it gets better, or the other way around.
"It's just that I don't like machineguns... You know with my scattergun I just simply run and when they get in front of it I fire it, it's very easy. But with a machine gun, I have to keep aiming at them, and that slows me down, not to mention that continuous kickback! But I guess here I only have to shoot once to kill someone here, though I still have to aim my shot as the is no bulletspread. Anyway, we could actually look for something that would fit us, I mean with all that money of yours... But before I forget, who is our next target?"
"Well, let me see." Head Hunter walked over to the desk to check the files.
Right then, the door opened, and Raven Holm and Ellen walked in. Ellen looked happy, and powerful, like she could take on the whole world. Raven Holm, on the other hand, looked tired, and like he took on the whole world, and lost. Scout, thinking some action might happen soon, jumped to his feet. Head Hunter was much less energetic, though a reasured smile oh so slightly touched his face.
"Well it is about time you two returned." Head Hunter said, walking over to them. "Scout and I were just discusssing out next moves."

Author's note: Sorry for the not-so-good ending, But I kinda had to rush this chapter out. Look how long it is already!
