Chapter 32-Skull Rock
Morgan's POV
"How is she?", Henry asks as me, Pan, and Henry stare at the girl's sleeping body. Well it's a good thing she's asleep, otherwise she would be beyond creeped out saying TWO teenage boys were looking at her.
"I fear she's getting worse, Henry", Pan replies.
"But if I save magic...she'll live?", Henry asks Pan.
"Standing right here dude", I say to Henry.
"Oops, sorry", Henry replies.
"Yes. But more than that, if you save magic, you'll save us all. But to do it, you have to truly believe", Pan replies, ignoring what I said completely.
"Am I invisible or something?", I ask Pan.
"Does it annoy you?", Pan asks me.
"It urks me".
"Good". I slightly smile at that. Despite everything that has happened since I've got to Neverland, I don't exactly hate him, which is pretty weird considering circumstances.
"I do", Henry says in response to Pan's previous question.
"Do you? Do you truly believe?", Pan asks me.
"I wouldn't be here if I didn't", I reply
"Good, because we don't have much time. Follow me", Pan says to us. Henry and I quickly glance at each other before following Pan back to camp where the Lost Boys were. But then again where else would they be saying Henry and I were with Pan so there was no one for them to follow around.
"My brothers! Tonight, the dream of Neverland will awaken from its slumber. Tonight, the heart of the truest believer shall fulfill its destiny, and with it our destiny. Tonight, Henry and Morgan save magic!", Pan says triumphantly. In response the Lost Boys just cheered, but when do they not cheer about what Pan says. In my opinion they're more like cheerleaders that like Lost Boys.
Peter Pan's POV
"Ah, it's been a long time since I stepped foot on this shore", I say. I then pick up a stick, draw a line, cast a spell, then drop the stick.
"What's that?", Henry asks.
"It's a protection spell. Now let's go. It's time". Henry follows immediately, Morgan eyes me suspiciously for a few moments before following me on the island of Skull Rock.
Morgan's POV
"This is it. The place where you two going to save magic", Pan tell me and Henry.
"Why does it have to be here?", I ask.
"Well, because this is the location from which Neverland's magic emanates".
"What's the hourglass for?", Henry asks.
"Marks how much time we have left before Neverland's magic runs out", Pan says simply. I look at it and notice that it's almost empty.
"It's almost empty", Henry states. Yeah, I think we figured that out Captain Obvious.
"Is something wrong?", I ask Pan when he starts to space out.
"No. There's something I need to take care of before we get started, okay?", Pan says before leaving me and Henry with the giant hourglass.
Peter Pan's POV
"Hello, laddie. Oh, I see you've come bearing gifts", I say when I see my former friend holding Pandora's box in his hand.
"Where are they", Rumplestiltskin asks
Oh, you mean Henry and Morgan? You still haven't told the others who I really am? Not even your own son. Why?"
"Because you're nothing but a coward to me".
"We both know if that were true, I'd already be in that box".
"You don't think I can do it? You let me inside just to, uh, taunt me?"
"No. To see you again, to give you one last chance. Stay with me. Let this go. Let's start over".
"Do you think I want to be with you? That I could ever forgive you after you betrayed me?"
"I'm disappointed, Rumple. After all these years, I thought you'd be more... understanding, considering you did the same thing to Baelfire".
"I regretted leaving my son the moment I betrayed him and let him go. I spent my life trying to find him, to get him back. And what did you do? You forgot about me".
"I never forgot about you! Why do you think I call myself "Peter Pan"? Our friendship meant a lot to me you know".
'Don't think for a moment I believe it's because you care for me".
"But I do. All you have to do is put down that box, and you'll see it's true. We can make the fresh start together, just as we planned".
"Oh, I'm gonna make a fresh start. Just not with you. I don't understand", Rumple says as he tries to trap me in the box. I just smirk.
"Cause you don't have it", I say, showing him the real box in my hand.
"You switched them?"
"Follow the lady. Still having trouble believing. In Neverland, all you have to do is think of something to have it. Even something fake. But the real one...Well, let's see what it can do".
"No!", he screams as the red mist engulfs him, then trapping him.
"I'm sorry, Rumple. You had your chance. The choice was yours", I say to the box.
Third Person's POV
"It's time, Henry, Morgan. Time to save magic, to save Neverland", Pan tells the twins, Henry and Morgan.
"What do we have to do?", Henry asks.
"You two must give me your hearts,...the hearts of the truest believers".
"You mean...I have to believe".
"…or love you or something…cause if that's the case, that will never happen", Morgan says awkwardly.
"No. I mean, you guys need to give me your hearts", Pan replies.
"Wait, how will this even work with two hearts?"
"Simple. The hearts will combine when underneath the moonlight".
"But... what will happen to us?", Henry asks.
"You two will become the greatest of all heroes", Pan responds.
"You can tell me the truth. I know all magic comes with a price. Saving it must come with a price, too".
"I would never lie to you, Henry. I mean, you're right. There is a price. Both of you have to stay here on the island with me. Neverland will become your new home. I know it's a huge sacrifice, but isn't it worth it?"
"Heroes have to make sacrifices all the time. My family taught me that".
"Then they'd be proud if they could see you now, because you're about to save them all. Now are you ready?"
"Yes", Henry says.
"Let's get this over with", Morgan says
"Then let me help you", Pan responds . Pan then uses magic to help the twins rip out their own hearts. When the twins pulled out their hearts, there was a golden glow to Henry's pure heart and Morgan's slightly darkened heart. The twins then held their hearts to the moonlight which then caused the hearts to combine into one golden heart. But before they could give Pan the heart he so desperately needed, there was an unexpected occurrence.
"Morgan, Henry, wait!", Neal's voice says. Pan, Morgan, and Henry turn to face the voice and are also greeted by Emma and Regina.
"Whatever Pan's telling you to do, don't do it", he continues.
"Dad? You're alive?", Henry says in shock.
"I am, buddy. And I need you to listen to me. Pan is lying to you".
"Oh, pleasure to see you, too, Baelfire, not to mention the Savior and the Evil Queen", Pan says.
"Morgan, Henry, you need to get away from him now. He's trying to hurt you", Emma says to them.
"No. The hearts of the truest believers. It's what's gonna save magic. It's gonna save all of you", Henry responds while Morgan keeps a blank expression.
"No, it's not. This was never about magic, Henry. You have to believe us. The only person Pan's interested in saving is himself", Regina tells Henry.
"That's not true!", Henry insists.
"Of course it isn't", Pan says.
"Yes, it is! Pan can't live without you dying. If you give him your hearts, it will kill you", Neal says.
"They're trying to stem your beliefs, Henry, Morgan. But don't let them. Remember, every hero gets tested".
"Henry...I know what being a hero looks like, and this isn't it", Emma says to Henry.
"Why would they lie?", Henry asks Pan.
"Because that's what adults do, Henry. You know that better than anyone, well except for Morgan", Pan tells the twins.
"Henry... you have to believe us", Regina says, ignoring Morgan knowing that she's a wildcard.
"Your parents don't care about Neverland, Henry. They know if you give your heart to save it, then you'll have to stay. They're being selfish because they don't wanna lose you", Pan says.
"Henry, you have to trust us", Emma says.
"Trust? I'm the only one who's ever been honest with you, Henry. The only one who ever believed in you, believed in the both of you. This is your choice. Not theirs. You guys have to choose now. We're running out of time", Pan says to the twins.
"We believe in you, Henry", Neal says.
"Because we love you", Emma adds.
"More than anything", Regina finishes.
"I love you, too. But I have to save magic". Morgan nodded at Henry before they shoved their join hearts into Peter Pan's body, falling limp to the ground immediately afterwards.
"No!", Regina, Emma, and Neal yell as the twins give Pan their hearts.
"I'm sorry Morgan, but I have to do this", Pan whispers to Morgan's still body.
