DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN ONCE!
Okay so i've been getting a lot of flames lately and peeps u got to remember that i get busy and sometimes am not able to write as frequently as i'd like, also, u don't decide when my story ends, i do. and as the people who bashed me were both guests, i doubt they even wrote a fanfic and don't realize how hard it is to update regularly. also flames make me angrily rant rather than imagine scenes so if you want to burn me fine, but just realize you are making yourself suffer
and the reason this took so long is i had trouble cutting this shorter so it 4,000 words! I hope that makes up for it cuz i really spent time thinking about each scene carefully and to make sure it flowed

Chapter 44-Double Trouble
Morgan's POV
"So it there like a reason I'm here?", I ask Pan.
"You mean other than seeing me?", Pan asks me.
"At four in the morning?! You know me well enough by now to know how much I despise mornings"
"Okay. I wanted to see you and with Emma on high alert with this petty witch strutting around town, I barely get to see you".
"I know. How do you think I feel? She basically has me and Henry on watch by a dwarf or someone fighting for her love".
"I take it you've seen enough of Hook and Baelfire? I'm not surprised; I grew quite tired of seeing their faces pretty quickly".
"I'm pretty sure he goes by Neal now but yeah. I wish things were easier, just once would be nice".
"With you? I don't think so".
"Very funny. So do have something in mind or did you just wake me up to say something you could've in a text?"
Henry's POV
I wake up in the middle of the night with the urge to pee. But when I get back to the room Morgan and I are sharing I notice two things. One, she's missing and two; the window is wide open with rope hanging out of it that reaches the ground. She was sneaking out, again. But the real question is why. We've been to a number of places because of mom's work, but we've never been here so what is she doing? I know I should give her privacy, but I'm her brother which means it's my right to snoop in her business, it's how siblings bond.
Letting curiosity get the better of me I quickly change out of my pajamas and into street clothes and shimmy down the rope and out the window. I drop to the ground quietly, careful to not wake anyone. I hope I've picked a couple things up from mom cause Morgan is hard to find when she doesn't want to be found. As there is water from a recent rain shower on the pavement, I'm easily able to find a footprint and start following them. So now the only thing left is to figure out where she went.
Peter Pan's POV
"Okay just a little further", I say to Morgan. I look at her with a gleam in my eyes as it's been awhile since the two of us have been alone.
"This better not be like Neverland where your big surprise is a big tree", she replies.
"We're here", I say putting her down and uncovering her eyes.
"This looks like exactly like where we met. You're not gonna kidnap me, again, are you?"
"No, I'm not going to kidnap you; if I was I would've done it by now. And believe me the thought did come across my mind".
"You miss Neverland, don't you?"
"Yes. But even though it's gone, I'll always have a piece of it".
"How? Your ability to fly around?"
"No. You are my piece of Neverland". I tuck a lock of hair behind her ear and the two of us then began to lean in toward each other, but instantly pulled away when we heard a rustling sound. SERIOUSLY! Why does something always go wrong when I try to kiss her!
Morgan's POV
"Who's there?!", I demand. A few seconds later Henry emerges from the foliage. Great, just great. I would rather it be a rabid bear. But no, it just had to be Henry who can't lie; I bet Pinocchio could lie better than Henry. I'm so screwed; if he tells Emma, I'll be in such deep water. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see the slight emotion of worry on Pan's face, it's small but most definitely there.
"What's going on?", Henry asks.
"Nothing", me and Pan reply instantly.
"Really? Cause I don't believe that".
"Yup. Pa—er…Peter was just showing me the way out. Weren't you?", I respond.
"Yeah. She looked lost so I was helping her", Pan says playing along. I see the small smirk on his face after saying the inside joke.
"You two looked like you were about to—", Henry responds.
"Hey Peter why don't you show us the way out", I say changing the subject.
"Sure. No problem", Pan says leading the way.
"If you tell mom about this, you are so dead", I tell Henry as we walk in the direction of civilization.
Henry's POV
After leaving the woods, Morgan and I are able to make it in our room five minutes prior to mom coming in and "waking" us up. The truth is I'd probably be awake even if mom wouldn't be waking us up for a couple more hours. I know this wasn't the first night Morgan snuck out, it was just the first time I followed her. And there was something about Peter that wasn't adding up. It's like they had more chemistry than they were letting on but why would they lie about that? Morgan may be an expert in stealth and trickery, but I'm going to find out about this boy. He may be harmless in all, but this is my sister we're talking about and if there's something really going on, I want to know.
Third Person's POV
"I've seen enemy battle plans that were easier to decode than this", David declares as he and Emma are trying to put the crib together.
"Let me see", Emma says. "All right, it says "take screws E with washers D through bar C using wrench F, which is…not provided".
"Why don't you just call Marco? He's really good at this sort of thing", Mary Margaret suggests.
"No", David and Emma respond.
"Should we even be doing this? Ever since the showdown between Regina and the Wicked Witch, we haven't seen Zelena or Gold at all. Shouldn't we be focusing on her next move?"
"We are. We just can't stop living. And this crib is a statement. We're not gonna lose another baby", David says.
"And, thanks to me, you won't", Regina says as she enters the apartment.
"So? Did it work? Were you able to put up a new protection spell?", David asks.
"One that can't be undone by blood magic, which means Zelena won't be able to put her hands on that baby".
"Any idea why she would want to?", Mary Margaret asks.
"The number of spells involving baby parts would surprise you. That greenie is clearly one twisted witch. But as long as we're in here, we're safe".
"That's useless", Emma declares. "I think we need to stop playing defense and start taking the fight to her".
"Did you not see how I barely outwitted her yesterday? She has magic powerful magic", Regina tells Emma.
"I have magic, too. You've seen me use it. I just can't always control it. But if we teamed up, if you taught me".
"Now, why does this feel so familiar?"
"I'm ready this time".
"Okay. But if we do this, we do this my way. This isn't drinking stale coffee at a stakeout or whatever you did as a bail bondsperson. This is a way of life. You have to fully commit to it".
"Not a problem".
"And no complaining", Regina says before exiting.
"I'm doing this", I tell my parents once Regina has left. "It's the only way. And yes, I will be careful".
"We know", Mary Margaret says.
"Don't worry. We'll watch Henry and Morgan when they get here", David adds.
"Actually I'm not sure that's the best idea", I respond.
"What? What is it?", Mary Margaret says.
"Well, you guys are tired. You need to rest".
"I'm pregnant. I'm not sick with the flu"
"Yeah, I know. It's just, um well, it's just last time you guys had them, you overwhelmed them with baby tips. They're sixteen. The last thing they want to do is talk about pregnancies. It's not fun. And it's just plain weird to talk about that kind of stuff".
"Oh, we're fun", Mary Margaret insists.
"Well, I'm just saying maybe they disagree".
"No!"
"They'll get there. You got to remember, they don't know who you are. And Morgan barely knew you as it was".
"Well, if we're not fun, who is?"
"Hook and Neal".
"Do you think that's a good idea? We all saw how well they worked together when we were in Neverland. It's almost as bad as the Ogre Wars were".
"No, not together. Hook's watching Henry and Neal's watching Morgan. I'm not making the mistake of allowing them to work together. Also, they'd probably say things around the twins that I'd have to fix".
Emma's POV
"Thanks again for watching her", I tell Neal.
"No problem. I'd do it anyway", Neal replies.
"You're not going to say a cheesy line about you doing this for me, are you?"
"No. I'd do it for you but I also want to know her. I got to know Henry for some time but between Neverland, Pan's curse, being sent back to the Enchanted Forest, and the missing year, I never got to. But now I do, even if she doesn't remember exactly who she is".
"Just take care of her".
"What's that supposed to mean? I'm not going to break her heart if that's what you mean".
"You can't let her know but something's off".
"What do you mean by off?"
"She's been disappearing a lot and when she shows up is often out of breath. I know it could be nothing, but I can't stop worrying that something's up".
"Emma, I'm sure it's nothing. She might just want to be alone or something".
"Neal, last night Henry followed her and the window was open".
"Pan. Maybe he's been watching her or something. If he so much as touches her—"
"You think she's been sneaking out to see him? After what he did?! How could she possible want to spend time with a person like that?!"
"Morgan doesn't remember. To her he's just a teenage boy. A sarcastic, demonic teenage boy who kidnapped her and tried to kill her".
"Isn't he like a thousand years old?"
"He's only a few hundred actually".
"Well let's hope she doesn't have a thing for bad boys. Cause I don't want to explain myself when I punch him in the face the next time I see him".
"If that were true, she wouldn't be sneaking out. But what can you expect given how we met. It's not a far stretch though I'd rather it not be true. We fell in love as thieves; her liking Pan fits our story line".
"Do you think she remembers? Maybe that's why she's been sneaking out".
"How would she possibly have it? Henry doesn't so why should she? There's more people who would want Henry to remember over Morgan. And anyway Hook only had enough for you and no one else remembers what happened in the missing year to have the knowledge to make the potion".
"Just after coming here, she began acting more like she was in Neverland, it's like she remembered something. It's like the girl I had been getting to know is starting to fade away".
"We haven't even seen Pan. If you want to ask her go ahead but if we're wrong, how are we going to explain all of this to her? It wouldn't be easy to explain to her that she's a descendant of fairy tale characters. You know better than anyone how hard it is to believe such a story".
"I know. Look, I got to go. I need to drop Henry off with Hook so I can learn magic from Regina so I can defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. Just take care of her and don't do anything stupid", I say.
"I will, don't worry I'm not going to let her get hurt", Neal replies. I begin to walk away but I'm unable to get too far.
"Emma?!", Neal shouts.
"Yeah", I respond, turning around to face him.
"Be careful. Magic is a tricky thing, but you can handle it just as long as you focus".
"I will".
Morgan's POV
After about ten minutes of Emma and Neal flirting or whatever they were talking about. I'm not exactly sure as I was texting Pan and trying to beat my high score on 2048 so I'm pretty clueless of what sappy junk or heartwarming monologues were said. Even if I wasn't on my phone, I wouldn't care enough to pay attention.
So I guess I'm stuck with Neal, my dad, for the day and since Henry isn't here, there's no escape and I actually have to like talk to the guy. And to be honest, I'm kinda nervous. I've only talked to the guy a few times and one of them I was screaming at him and it's kinda weird being with him and not worrying about lost boys sent by Pan to capture me. And to be honest, I miss the rush of adrenaline I get from escaping Pan's camp and running from lost boys only to have the whole process to be repeated later on that day. Yeah, my life is certainly not normal, but then again was it ever?
"So it looks like we'll be spending the day together", Neal says as he walks over to me.
"It appears so", I respond, tucking away my phone just in case Pan texts back and Neal sees the contact name. Yeah, that would be fun to explain when I'm not supposed to remember who Pan is.
"I know that you think I'm a jerk from what Emma has told you, but I promise you I'm not like that. I know that I can't make up for all those years, but I can make a difference now".
"How?"
"Come with me and I'll show you how. It'll be worth it, I promise".
Peter Pan's POV
I watch Morgan leave in pure rage and anger. This shouldn't be happening! From the moment I had been resurrected from the dead I made a vow that I would find Morgan and never let her go ever again. I made that mistake before, and there was no way I'd do it again. She's the only person I've ever met who has been able to succumb to such darkness, yet still has some good in her. I will never meet someone like her again and I've got to hold on to her.
"Something on your mind, dear?", A voice says from behind. I turn to face the witch that has this whole town on lockdown, Zelena.
"Hello to you too Zelena. I knew I smelled desperation and self-pity", I reply.
"You know she will never be yours. You're a monster, she will never love you".
"Anything is possible. If there's one thing I've learned on Neverland, it's that. And you're one to talk about love saying you have to enslave the Dark One just to get a date".
"How naïve. She comes from a long line of heroes for anything to exist between you two. It would never work out".
"While that may be case her grandfather, Rumplestiltskin, certainly doesn't follow their sickenly sweet definition of a happy ending. And who are you calling naïve? Didn't it take you thirty something years to discover that you actually weren't related to the drunken man you called your father and that you had a sister who was queen? It did didn't it, laddie? Weak, utterly and most definitely weak".
"At least I have people to do my work for me. Didn't yours abandon you for the sake of getting a mother, which never ended up happening? Some leader you were. I guess that's why you're living in the shadows of the woods".
"You mean your monkey man-beasts? At least mine can deceive people better than yours. You're just lucky the savior was dumb enough to believe Walsh. I got Tamara to make Neal fall in love with her, put this entire town in a panic when the diamond was activated, and had Tamara and Greg kidnap Henry and bring him to Neverland before my lost boys put an end to them. They may be short lived but the results are satisfactory. And getting my hands dirty isn't necessarily bad; I know whether or not things are done right".
"Yet you still failed in the end. Some threat you are".
"I didn't. I'm surely not dead now and I always get what I want. But enough of this, is you wanted to gloat you'd be in the town square for all to listen while you prance around like annoying little brat you are. Why are you here? Cause if you're here just to irritate me, get out before I destroy you".
"I've come to propose a deal".
"Not interested. Especially not with you".
"Oh I think you will. And not like that!".
"And why would I? I see no benefit in working with you, so why bother? I don't do charity work, even for someone as needy as you".
"If you don't, I'll kill you. Your choice".
"I'd like to see you try. You see, you may think you're pretty good at magic, but you've never gone against me. It would be a death wish to even try".
"So what? You're seventeen. I think I can handle a little boy who managed to luck his way through a few centuries".
"Try three hundred and thirty-seven. I still look how old I was when I arrived at Neverland but I'm more powerful than any sorcerer. Ask anyone".
"Didn't Rumplestiltskin? That's right, he did".
"He couldn't without killing himself which makes him weaker than me. If he was more powerful, he wouldn't have had to kill himself. I rest my case".
"Maybe you are more powerful. But you still will want to make a deal with me".
"And why's that? I don't play well with others if you hadn't already figured that out. Actually, you probably didn't given how idiotic you are".
"The girl you're so infatuated with, Jordan or whatever her name is—"
"Morgan. Her name's Morgan".
"Right. But while you are more powerful than me and the Dark One, she's not. And I'm not above marking her up a little or a lot, it depends. Make the right choice and she won't get hurt".
"You are one seriously messed up scumbag if you think you can hurt her and get away with it".
"So do we have a deal? Or are you willing to risk her safety?"
"No. I would never work with you no matter what the benefits were. I'd call you an ogre but that would be an insult to ogres. Now get out of my face before I rip off your shadow. And trust me, I'm not bluffing. Give me a reason and I WILL end your life as painfully and slowly as possible, or a fate worse than death. Watch it. I'm giving you a warning, but next time you won't be so lucky".
"You will regret not taking my deal. And when I'm done it will be all your fault and you will never get your happy ending".
"We're done here, you moldy scumbag. Now, if I were you, I'd go back to whatever hole you crawled out of and stay there before you learn what happens when you mess with the devilishly handsome and all powerful Peter Pan".
"This is not over".
"Oh, but it is. See, I say it's over which means I'm done with you. So be a dear and show your way out".
"You have not seen the last of me!"
"Was that a threat? I look forward to whichever game comes my way. I'll be nice, I'll let you have the first move. It makes things more interesting, don't you think?".
Morgan's POV
"So…where are we going", I ask Neal. And to be truthful I'm kinda nervous about today as I haven't seen him in a year, oh yeah, and he thinks I don't remember anything and still have my fucked up memories I got when I left Storybrooke. The universe just loves making my life difficult, doesn't it? But then again my life makes it too easy.
"I've heard you got your permit so I figured I'd teach you how to drive", Neal responds.
"A car?"
"Nope. I have something a little more fun. You see my friend…uh gave me his motorcycle when he no longer had a use for it. So you want to learn? But don't tell your mother".
"YES! This is going to be so awesome!" Okay…not one of my coolest moments, but I've always wanted to ride a motorcycle so I don't mind acting a little more excited than normal. Also, I so wanted to drive before Henry. I guess my cursed memories did have something that lasted; sibling rivalry. And I got to say, it's pretty fun and I kinda like having Henry as my brother. I guess I have changed in the last year, and part of me likes it, but the other part doesn't like the whole family bonding thing but I guess that's to be expected after everything I have been through before I came, well dragged, to Neverland and met my extremely complicated family. But Neal wasn't so bad. I mean out of everyone else in my family, he's definitely the most exciting and he seems to get my personality better than everyone else.
"Alright. It's time for you to learn how to ride a motorcycle. And again if your mother finds out, I'm toast".
"Yeah. So would I". Maybe this day wouldn't be as bad as I originally thought. Henry's most definitely not doing this with Captain Guyliner and William Whines-A-Lot Smee.
Third Person's POV
"Where have you guys been?", Emma asks as Henry, Mary Margaret, and David enter the apartment, shortly followed by Neal and Morgan.
"Only having the best day ever! David let me drive his truck", Henry responds.
"You let him what?!", Regina says with plenty of concern and anger in her voice. "As mayor, I can't let an unlicensed driver on the streets of Storybrooke", she continues, covering up her reaction.
"As mayor, you might want to throw a little money at road repair", David adds.
"Excuse me?"
"Nothing".
"She's right. Someone could have been seriously hurt", Emma says.
"Only if you're a mailbox", Mary Margaret replies.
"It was so much fun", Henry declares.
"What can I say? I've got a reckless, carefree fun side", David says.
"Killian? Where's our friend?", Mary Margaret asks.
"It turns out her missing husband was back home after all", Hook replies.
"It's true. We just checked in on them on…Skype", Emma adds, careful not to say magic mirror.
"She sends her regards, but she was too excited to wait".
"Dinner at Granny's?", Emma asks.
"Can I drive?", Henry asks.
"No!", everyone responds at once.
"Well, I guess I'll leave you guys to it, Hook says, making his way to the door.
"You're not coming?", Emma asks.
"Another time perhaps".
I know you must be thinking that either me and/or henry is evil for breaking up pan/morgan's first kiss since neverland. but probably mostly me as being an author is beyond awesome as you can make the characters do whatever i see fit...yea i'm definitely the evil one
