Chapter 47-Blast from the Past
Morgan's POV
I find myself in the boat house. That's weird; I thought for sure I had fell asleep in the room at Granny's. I'm on the ground with a flying monkey overhead, preparing to attack. No, this can't be happening; I refuse to relive this. The monkey is coming closer and closer, only Pan hasn't come and I'm on my own to save myself. But, I'm unable to and am stuck frozen in fear of what will happen once the winged beast gets a little too close for comfort. My usual cool and reserved attitude is replaced by fear itself and it is apparent. I begin to start panting heavily, still not moving for the fear has prevented me from moving and getting myself out of the way. As the monkey gets closer and closer, I finally react; I scream on the top of my lungs.
"AHHHHHHH!", I scream. I wake up with beads of sweat running down my face and after a quick glance around I realize that I'm in the forest.
"Yup, you definitely weren't scared", a voice says that I know all too well. Pan steps out of the shadows and reveals his face.
"What am I doing here?", I ask standing up.
"I knew you were lying so I may have taken you here once Emma went to sleep. Now shall we move onto more important matters? Are you finally ready to tell me what's been bothering you? Like perhaps the reason behind why you were screaming? And don't tell me it was nothing, I was here and I know that something's bothering you", Pan responds moving closer to me.
"Okay, fine. And as much as I hate to admit it, you're right".
"What?"
"After you saved me from Zelena's flying monkeys, you told me that it was okay if I was afraid. I told you that I wasn't, but it was a lie. I was terrified", I move to sit on a log. "I didn't want to admit it, but I was. Dammit Pan, you were right. And then when she was defeated I thought this would be over, but clearly it's not. The nightmares keep happening! I keep reliving that awful memory!"
"You don't have to go through this alone", Pans says as he sits down next to me.
"Yes I do! If I admit it, it becomes real!"
"Why's that such a bad thing?"
"Don't you get it? I HATE feeling like this! I hate feeling all weak and vulnerable! Unlike you I have to deal with this shit"
"You think I don't know what it's like?! Sorry to break it to you, princess, but I also have to deal with shit! Do you honestly think I wasn't afraid of anything? Why do you think I'm the boy I am today? I had to learn to use my fear as strength".
"What fear? Whenever someone tried to kill you at least you could do something. I was frozen, unable to do anything. That's the difference".
Henry's POV
"Morgan!", I call out running up to her on our way to Granny's. After getting my memories back and defeating Zelena, I never got to ask her some things about what happened during my memory block.
"Uh…what is it Henry?", she asks me with such a fake smile, I could tell she was not looking forward to this conversation.
"I wanted to know why you were hanging around Pan all this time". Her fake smile drops instantly.
"Oh…you remember".
"You were hoping I'd forget?"
"Honestly I was. You're one of the worst liars I know and it's easier for my personal life to stay just that, my own business without all of Storybrooke knowing".
"But Pan tried to kill us?"
"Here's the thing, love is strange. But then again our family proves that theory".
"You like Pan?!"
"As I said; love is strange. But I need you to not speak one word of this. No one can know or I'm so doomed. Please Henry, I know it seems strange to like a villain, but I do and I need your help to keep it a secret".
"Alright. But one question".
"Yeah?"
"How is this even possible?"
"It's hard to explain; I don't understand it sometimes".
Morgan's POV
After my heart-to-heart…or whatever you could call it with Henry, I ditched the party in honor of naming the newest royal, AKA my nephew. I was kinda nervous of Henry not being able to keep his yap shut so I went where no one would dare go; the site where Zelena was defeated. As everyone was so focused on the party that was happening at Granny's, I doubt anyone would even notice I was missing. Besides, I don't really belong there anyway. I'm an outcast here and people need to stop pretending I'm not. I'm not a hero like all of them, I'm not necessarily a villain either but their feel good attitude really sickens me.
Emma's POV
"You're making a mistake", Hook says as he makes his way over to me.
"I don't want to talk to you about this", I reply.
"Don't listen to me, listen to your son". He takes the storybook from his satchel and hands it to Emma. "He thought this might remind you of what you're leaving behind—your family".
"Henry and Morgan are my family and I am taking them where they are safe".
"No, Swan. The safety-first nonsense is just that. You defeated the bloody Wicked Witch. You defeated Pan. You broke the curse. And you keep running. What are you looking for?"
"Home".
"And that's in New York? That wasn't real".
"The last year was".
"They were false memories. It was based on magical nonsense".
"Now we have our memories back. Now we can make it real".
Hook: Why can't you do that here with your entire family? Or their father? He's their bloody father, whether or not you like it, it's the truth. You can't just keep Baelfire away from his kids".
"Because of this. I don't see my family here. I see... fairy tales. I see stories of princes and princesses. It-It's not me. I was never a part of any of this".
"Then what are you a part of, Swan?"
"Besides being with Henry and Morgan, I don't think I've ever been a part of anything".
"You could be".
"Look, when I was a kid, I ran away. It's just what I did. But the first time I did it, I had the same exact thought. I wondered, 'What if I'm making a mistake? What if I miss this place?'"
"Did you?"
"Not the first time. Not any time".
"So you just keep running".
"I learned something a long time ago, Hook. Home is the place when you leave, you just miss it. So yeah, I'm gonna keep running until I feel that".
"So you're just gonna leave your parents, then. Do you even care about them, or Baelfire, or anyone in this town?"
"Of course I care. I just have to do what's right for me and the twins and—" I stop myself when I see Zelena's time portal across town. "What the hell is that?"
"I have no idea".
"I'm checking this out".
"Swan, wait!"
Morgan's POV
"Woah", I say suddenly when I notice a bright light coming from Zelena's time portal.
"Looks like somehow it opened", Pan concludes.
"Let's check it out".
"You're nuts; time travel is a dangerous thing, you don't want to mess with it".
"I'm going. Whether or not you come with me is up to you".
Emma's POV
"Whatever's going on in there, it can't be good", Hook tells me.
"It's Zelena's time portal. David left a message. Somehow she died and triggered it", I respond.
"Wait! Let's get out of here".
"Not until we find a way to close it".
"You got your magic back?"
"No".
"Well then, we're not bloody well messing with any of this! Let's go!" Just as David attempts to call me back, the doors swing open and force Emma and Hook toward it. Hook manages to anchor his hook in the ground to keep himself from falling through as he holds on to my hand. I then notice two other people had been drawn towards Zelena's time portal as well; Morgan and Pan. Pan had stuck his dagger in the dirt, with Morgan clinging onto his boot, as an attempt to not fall in.
"You've been sneaking around with Pan this entire time?!", I ask her, screaming as the time portal was really loud.
"Is now really the best time?!", Morgan yells back, starting to lose her grip.
"You have to hold on!", Pan screams to Morgan.
"I can't! I'm slipping!" And as if on cue, Morgan falls into the portal.
"MORGAN!" Pan then pulls his dagger out of the ground and falls in after her.
"Hold on!", Hook yells.
"I can't!", I respond. My grip slips and I fall into the portal,
Third Person's POV
"Ugh", Morgan groans.
"No. No", Emma says.
"Appears we're back in the Enchanted Forest", Hook states.
"Yeah, I got that".
"The only question is when? Swan?"
"I've got a pretty good idea".
Pinned to a tree there's a poster reading WANTED. Snow White. For crimes against the Queen. Murder. Treason. Treachery.
"I suppose we're lucky we wound up in this time. We could've appeared in the middle of the Ogre Wars or smack dab in the belly of a whale". Looking down he notices Emma reading the book. "Why are you reading that now?"
"Cause when we were falling through, I was thinking about Henry and the story we were all reading at Granny's".
"Looks like someone's been learning a thing or two about magic", Pan says smugly. Emma begins to move towards Pan, but Hook stops her.
"Lass, don't waste your efforts on him, it isn't worth it", Hook tells her.
"Like you are? Doubtful".
"How about I shove my hook inside your body and then you can say what you think of me".
"You couldn't do that even if you tried".
"Could the two of you shut the fuck up so we can figure out how the hell to get back to Storybrooke?! You can resume your useless bickering there", Morgan yells, breaking up the banter.
"We're trapped in the past. I should have left Storybrooke the instant we defeated Zelena. This is exactly the kind of thing that does not happen in New York", Emma says.
"I understand your frustration. But we've been in dire straits before. There's no need to be antsy. We have our wits. We just have to focus on being constructive", Hook tells her. Hook looks around. "So, any ideas how to go back?"
"How would I know how to get back to the future? Who do I look like? Marty McFly?"
"Marty Mc - who?"
"The kid with the lightning and the DeLorean and they went back in time and then he…"
"Is he some sort of wizard?"
"No, Marty McFly is not a wizard. He's - Maybe a wizard is exactly what we need. We could find Rumplestiltskin".
"We need to find Rumple. The sooner we get out of here, the better".
"Aye. Agreed". Emma is about to leave when Hook stops her once again. "There's one thing we need to do first".
"For once I agree with the pirate", Pan says. Morgan and Emma exchange confused stares, trying to figure out what Pan and Hook were talking about.
"What the hell are you two talking about?", Morgan demands.
"Sadly read leather jackets don't come into vogue here, ever", Hook tells Emma.
"Or…well whatever you're wearing", Pan says to Morgan. Hook eyes a clothesline in a nearby village with plans of "borrowing" some clothes to help Emma and Morgan blend in. "There's no need for that, Hook. You forget; I have magic". With a flick of his wrist, Morgan and Emma's outfits change to something that people around here would be wearing. After adjusting the hood of Emma's cloak, Hook warns Emma of the dangers of altering the past.
Morgan's POV
While Hook and Emma were going on and on about not changing the past and all that crap; I heard a familiar tune coming from the woods. Pan and I looked at each other before setting out to find where it was coming from. Soon enough, we were able to see what was going on without getting too close. I saw a bunch of boys dancing around a fire and a boy in a pied cloak playing pan pipes. Wait a minute…boys dancing and the use of pan pipes…could this be Pan?
"Is this you?", I whisper after making the connection.
"Indeed. I had many methods of getting lost boys to Neverland", Pan responds.
"I bet you did".
"We should probably get back to the Savior and Hook before they notice you're gone. Or before we change something". I nod, but just as we turn around to get out of here before past Pan sees future Pan, I run into someone. Upon seeing me, the boy bolts like the end of the world was near or something.
"Who was that boy?"
"That was Felix. This was the day he was supposed to come to Neverland".
"You have got to be kidding me". So I guess this is what Pan meant when he told me that Zelena's time portal was a dangerous thing. But what could happen by Felix never going to Neverland?
Third Person's POV
"Look ahead, Swan. The Dark One's castle", Hook says.
"A little more imposing than the pawnshop. So, what do we do now? Knock on the door and introduce ourselves? Hey. We're from the future", Emma asks sarcastically.
"Well you can say whatever you like, but I'll stay here. I doubt Rumple would help me without it resulting in a murder attempt. I'll be fine but I can't say the same for him", Pan replies with a smirk.
"Might be best if I stay back as well. The Dark One and I have a rather complicated past. I'd wager he want to kill me on sight", Hook adds. The foursome are oblivious to the fact that Rumplestiltskin had appeared behind them, going unnoticed long enough to hear what his two enemies had to say.
"Oh, I'll take that bet", Rumplestiltskin responds. Turning around startled Emma, Hook, Morgan, and Pan face Rumplestiltskin. He giggles at their reactions. "It's my lucky day; the two people I absolutely loathe are in one convenient place. I can't tell you how long I've been looking forward to this. Oops. I suppose I just did. Now, who to kill first?"
"You can't kill me, Rumple. Unless of course you're willing to risk your life", Pan responds smugly.
"That may be true, but I can kill him", Rumplestiltskin responds, using magic to strangle Hook. "And dearie it's no mystery that you like her and I highly doubt she's as powerful as you". He continues, pointing to Morgan.
"Hurt her and you will suffer dearly, that's a promise. And you know better than anyone that I always keep my promises", Pan replies, lowering his voice to a dark and cruel tone. Rumplestiltskin grits his teeth and uses magic to strangle Hook even more.
"Swan", Hook chokes out.
"Stop!", Emma shouts. Using the other hand Rumplestiltskin flings Emma aside.
"I don't know who you are, dearie, but why don't you run off and let me enjoy my killing in peace", Rumplestiltskin tells her.
"You have to listen to me".
"And why would I listen to you?"
"Because if you don't you'll never see your son again". Upon hearing this, Rumplestiltskin lets go off Hook. Groaning Hook falls to the ground, but after a while manages to get to his feet.
"What do you know of my son?", Rumplestiltskin demands.
"His name is Baelfire. You're planning to enact a curse in hopes of reuniting with him".
"Who told you that? What are you? Some kind of witch?"
"No, I'm not a witch. I'm the one who breaks the curse so that you can find him. I'm the product of true love".
"That's speculation. Part of my plans. But I haven't done it".
"You will and you will succeed".
"If that's true, then that means…"
"We're from the future, mate", Hook interrupts.
"But time travel hasn't been done, mate".
"Well someone figured it out, laddie", Pan responds.
"Onto more important matters, if what you're saying is true, who the hell are you?", Rumplestiltskin asks, pointing to Morgan.
"I'm your granddaughter", Morgan finally responds after some hesitation.
"Let's see about that". Rumplestiltskin plucks hair from both himself and Morgan and makes potion. After a few seconds, the potion glows as proof that she's not lying. "You're Bae's daughter?"
"Yeah. And we need your help to get back".
"Help? You need my help? Then answer me one question: Do I find my son?"
"How would she know your relation unless you were reunited with Baelfire?", Pan retorts.
"How? Don't tell me. If I succeeded, I don't want anything in my head that might throw it off", Rumplestiltskin says.
"It might already kind of be thrown off", Emma responds.
"You've changed things. What have you done?"
"We interrupted my parents meeting".
"Wow. And I thought I messed up when I stopped my second-in-command from meeting me and eventually coming to Neverland", Pan says.
Morgan's POV
"So why are we doing this exactly?"
"You heard Rumplestiltskin. We have to change things back to the way they were".
"I highly doubt whether or not Felix goes to Neverland will change anything".
"We don't know that for sure. And as I like things exactly the way they are, I'd like to guarantee that the present doesn't change".
"And Felix determines that? I think you're being paranoid".
"Would you rather risk the chance of me being dead? Or possibly even you? Cause whether you want to believe it or not, Felix played a big part in my plans".
"Ugh, fine. I'll keep past you occupied while you find Felix and bring him back to where all of the other soon-to-be lost boys are".
"What do you mean 'occupied'? Won't that have some dangerous outcomes?"
"It can't be worse than people seeing two of you; especially if the past you sees you. And you're the one who is being unbearably stubborn about making sure the past doesn't change".
"Be careful".
"I survived death; this is nothing". Before Pan could stop me, I casually made my way down to where past Pan was playing his beloved pan pipes. "So, I take it you're the Pied Piper", I say to him casually, with his back turned to me.
"I take it you've heard of me, laddie", Pan responds, turning around to face me. "You're a girl?!", he asks once he sees my face.
"Wow…aren't you smart. I gotta to say, I expected more given your reputation".
"You've got fire, I like fire. Say, why don't you come with me…to Neverland! I have a good feeling that I'd never get bored playing with you".
"I hardly know you…but I wouldn't be against it if you convinced me".
"There's a tavern nearby, I can persuade you there".
"Confident; you're off to a good start. Now let's see if you can keep it up".
"Oh, I will. If I want something, I get it. And you're mine".
Peter Pan's POV
I let my eyes linger onto Morgan for about a minute or so before I finally manage to turn away and set off to find who would become my most loyal lost boy, Felix. From what I could remember, Felix worked for a brutal blacksmith so my best bet was to look for him in the nearby village.
As soon as I arrived at the village, I sought out the blacksmith's which wasn't much of a challenge given how small the village was. I was about to set foot in the brute's shop, but thanks to my luck, I spotted Felix just outside, preparing to make some deliveries.
"Did I mix up your order?", Felix asks me, standing to face me, as I approach him. "If so, I'm sorry", Felix adds, his tone not seeming sorry in the slightest.
"Save your pitiful apologies, I'm not here about any delivery", I respond.
"Then why are you here?"
"The real question is why are you here, laddie? Aren't you tired of living this hell of a life?"
"I can't do anything about it. If I run, he'll find me and punish me more than ever".
"I assume that's how you got that scar".
"Yes. And I don't want him to beat me anymore. There's nowhere is this land I can go where he won't find me".
"What would you say if I told you I could take you to another land? A land in which you could do anything you've ever dreamed of and you would never have to grow up".
"I would say I'm interested. But who are you?"
"I'm Peter, Peter Pan. But you might know me better as the Pied Piper".
"When can I leave this wretched life?"
"Follow the sound of the music tonight and all your problems will vanish". Before Felix could ask any more questions, I vanished and appeared at the tavern where my past self was flirting with Morgan. Without much hesitation, I knocked him out, and while he was unconscious, gave him the memories I just obtained with Felix so I don't run into any complications in the future.
Third Person's POV
"Just when I thought the clothes here couldn't get any worse", Emma says when she arrives at the ball along with Hook, Pan, and Morgan.
"You might not be able to move, Swan, but you cut quite the figure in that dress", Hook replies. King Midas approaches them.
"Greetings. I'm King Midas, father of the bride. Who do I have the honor to welcome into my home?", King Midas asks.
"I'm Prince", Hook begins but pauses as he can't come up with an alias.
"Charles. Prince Charles", Emma says, saving him. "And I'm Princess Leia".
"And who might you two be?", the king asks Morgan and Pan.
"She's Princess Kayla", Pan responds with no hesitation.
"And he's Prince Jacob", Morgan adds.
Emma's POV
"You can't hide from me! Wherever you are I will find you!", David yells, well I guess given where we are it would be Prince Charming.
"Mission accomplished", I say to Hook. "Now all we have to do-". A Black Knight armed with a bow steps out on the parapet and pushes me roughly out of the way. The archer takes aim.
"You'll find her sooner than you think, milord", the knight says viciously.
I launch myself onto him as the archer releases the arrow. The knight loses his balance. As Snow White gallops off the arrow hits a tree trunk behind her. Getting back to her feet I notice Charming 's wedding ring lying on the ground.
"The ring", I state, picking it up.
"You've got to get it to Snow. Go! We've got this", Hook replies.
"Pan, go with her. Me and Hook have got things under control", Morgan says. Pan and I look at each other before heading off in the direction of the exit.
Peter Pan's POV
"There she is. She helped the bandit escape", a black knight yells, before yours truly and Emma could leave the castle, pointing at the Savior. Two Black Knights block Emma's way. The Evil Queen approaches her.
"Going somewhere?", the Evil Queen asks, approaching us.
"Well, love, the general idea was to the door", I respond smugly.
"Quiet!"
"Regina. I-", Emma begins.
"That's a bit informal, wouldn't you say?", the Evil Queen interrupts. "Show some respect. It's Your Majesty". Two Black Knights seize Emma by the arms and another two seize me. Emma struggles to break free, but I on the other hand just allow it, this isn't the first time I've been in a situation like this.
"Your Majesty, if I might ask? Why am I in your custody as I have done nothing wrong?", I ask the Queen
"You made the error of making her acquaintance and for that you will suffer dearly. Neither of you are going anywhere. Snow White may have left the party early, but, I suspect, your night has just begun". I glance back at the crowd, who has gathered to watch this encounter, and see Morgan and Hook in the way back, probably to not get themselves captured as well. "Take them away", the Queen commands her black knights. As the Savior and I are escorted out of the castle, I glance back at Morgan one last time until she is no longer in my view, and I can't help but worry if this will be the last time as without my magic I can't teleport or do anything requiring magic.
Hope you liked it!
