Chapter 54-Secrets and Discoveries
Morgan's POV
I wake up the next morning with Pan lying in bed next to me. I was dressed in a tank top and a pair of shorts while he was just in his boxers. At first I'm confused, but then I remember the events of last night which might have ended up with Pan spending the night. With me. In my bed. Man, that was some night.
"Morning, Princess." I hear his voice say, pulling me from my thoughts. "Thinking of last night, huh? Take your time. It was some night thanks to yours truly."
"Please. I was the one that made it fun." I reply. We both look at the clock and notice that it is only eight in the morning. "It's still morning. Why don't we continue our fun from last night?"
"I like your thinking, Lost Girl." I pull him in close, kissing him with fire and fury, our tongues poking their way in the other's mouth, making this session get more and more intimidate. Now this was fun. But, we were soon interrupted by the sounds of footsteps getting closer and closer. Me and Pan stopped what we were doing and looked at each other, with panic in our eyes.
"Well, don't just lay there, ya dolt." I say pushing Pan off of me and onto the floor. "Hide. Like your life depends on it. Which it probably does." Without a word, Pan picks himself off the floor and hides…in my closet. Just as my closet door shuts, Rumplestiltskin walks in, with a concerned look on his face.
"Morgan, are you okay? I heard a noise up here." Rumplestiltskin says.
"Totally. I just fell out of bed. It really isn't a big deal."
"Are you sure?" He was trying to test me, make me get caught up in my lie. But I was better than he thought I was.
"Why wouldn't I be? Why would I lie to you after everything you have done for me? It just makes no sense."
"You're right. How ridiculous." We just looked at each other for a moment. "Well, I'm heading off to my shop. If you need anything, you'll know where to find me. Also, meet me there at 4:30 for your magic lesson." I watched him walk down the long hallway and didn't move until I heard the front door open and close.
"You need to go." I tell Pan, opening my closet door. He saunters out.
"Where's your sense of adventure?" Pan asks me.
"We could've been caught."
"But we weren't. And, when you think about it, isn't that what matters?"
"Look, I have other things to do that don't involve you."
"Like what? Things are far less handsome without my presence."
"Like I have to figure out about half a dozen spells, and because of you coming in last night, I have to think of an excuse to tell Henry so he won't get suspicious of what I was doing last night. Now, get out. Find someone's life to destroy, or whatever you do in your spare time."
"C'mon, let's have some fun."
"I'll meet you later. Try not to kill anyone."
"I will make no such promises."
Peter Pan's POV
I was walking down Main Street, trying to figure out who I was going to wreak havoc on today, when the Savior pulled her car up next to me. Ah, looks like today is her lucky day. She walks over to me where I'm waiting with a smirk on my face.
"Why, hello Emma." I say.
"Shut it." Emma responds.
"Ah, always so friendly and pleasant."
"I need your help."
"That's more like it. You demand something, I ignore it."
"This is not a joke."
"No, it's not. It's a game."
"This is about Morgan."
"What about her? I swear, whatever it is, I had nothing to do with it."
"This has nothing to do with you or whatever you were talking about. This has to do with Ingrid."
"What about her?"
"She wants Morgan for some unknown reason."
"That's impossible, it's you that she wants."
"Wait, what? Do you know her?"
"I've been alive for centuries, I know many people."
"Yeah. Everyone that has some evil plot against us or something. But do you know her, or do you know of her?"
"We've crossed paths a few times. She did a few errands for me in return for something only I could give her."
"And what's that?"
"Information."
"On what?"
"Afraid I can't tell. Secrecy was part of the deal."
"Alright, fine. But can you tell me her plan?"
"What would be the fun in that?"
"You care about Morgan, don't you?"
"What does that have to do with this?"
"Ingrid is after Morgan. Don't you want to protect her if you can?"
"I don't believe you."
"Then come with me, and I will make you believe."
Morgan's POV
The real reason I actually wanted to get rid of Pan was because I wanted to know more about this Snow Queen, and there's no way he'd let me do this. They know each other, and I'm going to find out how. Also, I kinda bailed last night on Henry and I need a pretty good lie so he won't try to pressure me into telling him what really happened. But before I could think of anything, I heard a knock on the door.
"I thought I told you to—" But I cut myself off when I turn around and see Henry standing in the doorway. "Oh, hey Henry."
"What happened? You never texted about snooping in on our parents' date." Henry asks.
"Something came up."
"You mean hanging out with Pan?"
"That's ridiculous. I do have other things in my life you know."
"You're not denying it."
"I'm not talking about this with you."
"Why not?"
"One, you're my brother, so that conversation would be really weird. And two, you wouldn't understand any of it?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Henry, you've never had a girlfriend. You can know everything about true love and all of that nonsense, but you don't know anything about having—feelings—for someone. Much less having a relationship with someone who has a complicated past with our family." We stare at each other in silence, neither of us knowing what to say. "Is there something you want, or are you just here to try to get yourself involved in my personal matters?"
"You said you would help me get in touch with Pan so I can find out what he knows about the Author."
"Okay, come with me." We walk over to where my computer was. I start typing away on the computer.
"What are you doing? Can't you just give me his number, or where he lives?"
"He would just ignore your texts, and even I don't know where he's living."
"Then what are you doing?"
"Hacking into the GPS chip on his phone. This will tell us exactly where he is." After a few more clicks, the location finally pops up.
"So, where is he?"
"The Sheriff's Station. Have fun with that."
Peter Pan's POV
I walk in to the Sheriff's Station after Emma, and immediately spot the perp who I had beaten up quite nicely when he made a fatal error.
"What's he doing in here? I think prison's too good for him." I say to Emma.
"Like you're much better." The thief responds.
"How about I—"
"Easy there. I didn't bring you here so you could think of ways to kill him." Emma interrupts.
"I wasn't going to kill him."
"Uh-huh. Why were you even beating him up?"
"It kept me from boredom."
"Try again, I know you're lying."
"So, where is that so-called proof you wanted to show me?"
"You're lucky this is the matter I'm more concerned about. Otherwise I'd be looking for ways to make your cuff work on you."
"Really? You're gonna let him off the hook just like that? I've served my time, yet I'm still here." The thief comments.
"Well that because I don't think you've been here long enough." Emma says.
"All because I broke into a bloody library?"
"Because you interrupted my date."
"Be lucky, laddie." I say. "Those bars are the only thing keeping me from beating you to a bloody pulp after intervening in my business."
"Ah, the blonde. She could do better." The thief says.
"Wait, what?" Emma asks.
"So where is it? The proof." I ask Emma. I was not in the mood to get lectured by Emma about my intentions with Morgan
"Thing is, there is no evidence."
"But why am I here?"
"Because you told me it was me that the Snow Queen wanted. Care to explain why you're so sure about that?"
"Not really."
"I wasn't asking."
"What makes you think I will tell you?"
"You say that you've changed, so prove it. Tell me what she wants."
"As you wish, Savior."
"Cut the crap, Pan. Just get on with it."
"I met Ingrid in the land of Arendelle one day when I was in the area for a few things."
"You mean Lost Boys?"
"Do you or do you not want to know what her plan is?"
"Sorry, please continue."
"She wanted a favor I could not fulfill myself, but I did know someone who could. In exchange for some material possessions to better Neverland, I gave her the information she so desperately wanted. Not much time had passed when we met again. She got her hands on something, a prophecy, that told led her to the idea that you were the sister she was looking for."
"I don't understand. Every time I confront her, she makes some comment about Morgan." I pale upon hearing that statement. "What's that face for."
"Something has changed to make Morgan the one she wants."
"What changed?"
"The prophecy."
"Do they normally change?"
"No."
"Any idea of what could've changed?"
"I don't know yet. But I will find out what."
Henry's POV
I watch as Pan finally exits the Sheriff's Department. I knew I had to move now if I wanted to know what he knew about the Author. I worked up my courage and let Pan know of my courage.
"Pan, wait!" I called out. Morgan was right, no matter what this was going to be an awkward conversation. This was the first time I've talked to him since I got my memories back, since Pan has been resurrected after Mr. Gold killed him, but most importantly, since he and Morgan officially got together.
"Why hello, Henry." Pan responds. We look at each other in silence for a moment before Pan breaks it up. "Do you have a message from Morgan, or something?"
"Uh, no. I have to ask you something, but I need it to be kept quiet."
"So you approached me in a place anyone could hear?"
"Good point. Maybe we should go somewhere we can talk in private." In a cloud of smoke I teleport us to the top of a cliff somewhere in the woods.
"Well. Get on with it. You know, I do have things to do."
"I want to know if you know who the Author is."
"Why would I know that?"
"Because you're a villain, and villains don't get happy endings."
"I make my own destiny. I don't need his help to get what I want."
"Him? So you do know him."
"Perhaps."
"What do you know?"
"Why should I tell you? You hero types always seem to get in the way of my desires."
"Because it will prove that you're not a villain anymore, that you're not trying to kill anyone."
"The Author is dangerous, even by my standards."
"What do you mean?"
"He is the Dark Curse. He has the power to make someone do something not in their free will. He could turn a baby into a killer. If you're smart, you will give this up."
"But he also has the power to give people happy endings, right?"
"Indeed, but will he?"
Morgan's POV
I was standing in the snow covered woods, looking for Ingrid. I know it was stupid, but I was going to find what she wants with me.
"INGRID!" I yell. "Where are you?!" Again, I said this was not my smartest plan, but it was the only thing I could do, at least I think so.
"Hello, Morgan." Ingrid's voice says. I turn around, my face devoid of any emotion. "Looking for me?"
"What do you want with me?"
"You're a very special girl, I just want to help you realize that."
"I don't need your help, and I certainly don't want your help."
"You did once, and I know that you'll want it again."
"What the hell are you talking about?!"
"In time you will know everything."
"Why not now? Why do you even want me?"
"You still have that feeling that no one could possibly want you, let alone love you? After everything that's happened to you since you arrived in Neverland, I would think that feeling would be long gone." I don't respond; I just look at her trying to figure out how she knows this. After all, it's not like I'm the easiest person to figure out. "Even when you're with Peter Pan, you still have that doubt that he really cares for you, don't you?" She takes my silence as an answer. "After everything you've been through together, I would think, you wouldn't be afraid of him leaving you, but you're still scared to completely trust him."
"You have no idea what you're talking about!" I conjure up a fire ball and throw it at her head. Unfortunately, she dodges it and uses her magic to slam me against a tree. I glare at her with fire and fury in my eyes. Concentrating hard, I use my powers to create a circle of fire around her. I smirk in victory.
"Would you look at that? I knew you had it in you." And on that note, she disappeared.
