A/N: Sorry for the delay. Real life has decided to interfere once again. I'm still trying to get my best friend's children adjusted to living with us after she passed away. And to top off everything else going on, my son broke three of my fingers on my left hand. He doesn't do changes very well, and our house is full of changes at the moment. Poor little guy doesn't understand everything happening! So the next couple updates maybe slow in coming but the story will continue, just a bit slower than expected. But with the injury, I am off work because I can't work in the ER with any restrictions and there's a good possibility I may be on maternity leave before my hand heals, so I guess that is an upside for all of you waiting for more chapters. LOL.

Anyways, I hope this chapter was worth the wait. Please read and review! I love all your comments, the good or bad!

Chapter Thirty-Four

"Why do you look like you've sucked on a lemon, OB? Don't you like the food?"

Choking on the forkful he had just swallowed, Johnny kept his gaze focused on the youngster who smiled mischievously at him. The curly haired troublemaker really reminded him of his mother back when they first met at moments like these. The uncanny ability to catch him off guard and the pleasure he derived from doing so only made him shake his head. "Wow, Cam! Maybe your mother ought to make an appointment to get your eyes checked. The food tastes great."

Jason covered his chuckled with a cough. Watching his old friend spar with his son amused him, but it was how the old man's attention shifted that he really appreciated. Maybe Cam deserved the new video game he'd been begging for after all.

"Should I have Alice tell Cook your steak isn't prepared to your satisfaction, Mr. O'Brien?" Edward gruffly offered.

Francis shot Jason a quick smirk while Monica rolled her eyes and Elizabeth just laughed outright at the pained look on her brother-in-law's face.

"Not at all. The food is delicious, Mr. Quartermaine."

"Of course it is. It's free, isn't it," Tracy sarcastically chimed in.

"So? I know a lot of things that can be given away freely that no one in their right mind would want. But then again alcohol makes everything look better," Johnny shot back, tired of the bitter woman's barbs that she'd been hurling since they arrived.

Monica and Elizabeth both dropped their forks in stunned disbelief while Edward exploded in a fit of laughter, enjoying his daughter's sour face as her jaw dropped and her mouth opened and closed but no words sounded.

"Oh my dear boy, I do believe I like you more and more."

"Daddy!"

"Now, Tracy, Mr. O'Brien only stated his opinion. One I am sure plenty of people fully agree with."

"How come Ms. Tracy always stomps off during dinner? Doesn't she ever finish her food?" Jake asked the suddenly quiet room after the woman in question loudly scraped her chair back and regally swept from the table, all except for the loud huffing.

"Tracy's hard to explain, Jake." Monica ruffled her grandson's blond spikes.

"Mr. Corelli."

Francis' head jerked from watching Monica with the two boys and stared at the calculating man who he'd bet his entire bank account was up to something. "Yes?"

"We've heard how Mr. O'Brien took off to Ireland and married Audrey's other granddaughter without a peep to let anyone know but no one's ever mentioned where you disappeared to. My Lila always thought very highly of both of you, even if you were criminal deviants. Did you run off and secretly get married as well?"

Throwing Elizabeth a dark look, Francis took a drink of his water before responding. "No, unfortunately I still haven't found anyone special enough to make me want to settle down."

Sensing his discomfort Monica tried to distract her father-in-law. The man just didn't understand the concept of not prying into other peoples personal affairs. "Elizabeth, where are Georgie and Johnny. I figured they'd be joining us this evening as well."

"They were lucky enough to flee the country," Johnny muttered.

"Hmm. That dreg to society takes the poor confused girl away when her family needs her? Robin buried her parents today," Edward announced with a scowl. He caught the cold glare Jason sent his way and forced his lips to remain compressed. In reality he respected the younger man. John Zacchara overcame having a criminally insane father and possessed morals that no one else in his family seemed to have developed. Edward also knew the young man risked his own life to warn Jason of the danger to his family and for that act alone Edward would owe him a debt of gratitude he'd never be able to repay. But poking at his grandson was a challenge he couldn't resist. Riling up Jason made his day.

"Don't give me that look, Jason. Georgianna and her young daughter should never have been permanently trapped into the lifestyle you two chose. Hasn't the poor girl already had enough hardships in her young life? Besides, even if they wanted to go away, shouldn't she have stayed for Robin and Mac's sake?"

Casting a quick look in the direction of Cam and Jake who were engrossed in the large sundaes Alice had sat in front of them, Elizabeth lowered her voice. "Robin's been verbally attacking Georgie since her and John married. At Lucas' funeral she made it painfully clear she blamed Johnny for the explosions."

"Nonsense!" Monica refused to believe it. "I don't see him harming any of Georgie's family."

The three men kept their expressions neutral but Jason caught Edward's speculative look before the old man's faced filled with humor.

"Elizabeth, has it been more peaceful since Carly did the world a favor by ridding us of Corinthos and herself at the same time? It's probably the only good thing she's done besides let nannies raise her children so they were spared too much quality time with her asinine way of thinking."

Before she could open her mouth, her beeper went off. Excusing herself, Elizabeth quickly called the hospital. Her face paled and she looked stunned when she returned to the table. "Monica, they're going to need you at GH too. Two patients were brought in with multiple injuries."

Monica stood while her eyebrows lifted. "I thought Patrick and Steven were covering surgeries tonight. Leo is on call for any heart issues."

Elizabeth swallowed. "Patrick can't operate. One of the patients is Robin. Epiphany said her spleen is ruptured and scans are indicating one of her kidneys may need to be removed with the amount of damage inflicted. Steven currently has Sean Donley on the table, three bullets to the chest at close range, Leo's assisting."

Jason and Francis stood while Johnny followed more slowly, his expression thoughtful. He waited until Elizabeth and Monica had left with Jason driving before catching Francis' attention. "Get Marco and Ritchie here for the boys then join them at GH."

"Where are you going?" Francis wanted to know. He could tell that Johnny's mind was operating in overdrive.

"I'm gonna step outside and make a call. I'll meet you at the truck. I'm going to the ER too."

Leaning against the vehicle while waiting on Francis to finish up, he made a call. "Sarah, it's me. I'm good, just missing you. But I'm calling for a reason." His lips curved upwards at her teasing remark before he became serious again. "Ruptured spleen, one kidney damaged so badly it needs removed. Ring any bells?"

"Who?" she asked softly.

"Robin."

"Damn it, Johnny! You told Zacchara? I told you all that…"

"No," he interrupted. "He still has no idea of what Georgie was treated for when they finally got her out of Prague. But someone does. I need her complete medical files."

"No! I won't break her confidence like that, not without her permission." Sarah paused before adding, "I'm taking the first flight out. Where is Georgie?"

"Zacchara took her and Bay to Milan for a couple days. They're still in the air."

"Good. Find who else had access to her medical records. I made sure to destroy the files at the hospital at her request, Johnny. It's too much of a coincidence that some of her very injuries also happened to the woman that ultimately is responsible for her being in that park the night she disappeared. I'll be there by late tomorrow evening. Be careful. I love you."

"I love you too." Closing the phone, he saw Francis watching him. "Don't start."

"If it wasn't Zacchara who do you think is behind it? Alcazar or Jerome?"

"Why would Jerome care? He never stepped up and protected Georgie when she needed him to. I highly doubt he suddenly cares now, and if he does, it's too fucking late. I just don't know how Diego knew some of what she endured."

"Some?"

The normally bright green eyes darkened. "It's Georgie's business, Francis. Until she decides to tell everyone, or at least her husband, I won't break the promise Sarah and I made her. But I will let Zacchara know the latest so he can warn Georgie her family is gonna be expecting her return."

"He's not going to bring her back into the middle of this. Not with Barrett's body set to be found tomorrow."

"I don't expect him to. My guess is that he makes it so no calls get through to her. Not that I blame him."

OoOoOoOoOoOo

"Why aren't you asleep?" Logan asked as he slid into the seat across from her. Everyone else except for Johnny, who was taking a phone call further in the back, was already out cold. He could tell by the dark smudges under her eyes that Georgie hadn't slept much the night before.

Georgie glanced up from the paperback book she had been staring at for the last hour or so. "Hey, I could ask you the same question."

"Yeah, maybe. But I'm not gonna be the one tryin to keep up with a rambunctious child tomorrow with bags under my eyes," he teased.

A mischievous grin curved her lips. "Don't bet on it, Logan. You're going to be with us so you might end up chasing after Bay while I take it easy."

He chuckled. "She's a doll. I know I've said that before, but she really is too adorable, Georgie. I thought she was never gonna quite coming up with questions to ask earlier before she finally zonked out."

"Yeah, she's a chatterbox."

Hearing Johnny's low voice take on an edge, Logan looked back at where he was now watching them. Whatever he was being told was not making him happy. "You know, I never saw you as the type of girl to go for bad boys."

Georgie blinked. "Huh?"

"Ya know, you always gave off the perfect image back in the day. It may have taken you a bit to relax enough with him, but it's clear that you and Johnny are heading in the right direction now."

"Where did this come from?" she asked curiously.

"Please! You've been friendly with him from the beginning, but now there is a whole another level to your relationship."

Uncomfortably shifting in her chair, Georgie just looked at him.

"But after learning about your past with Diego, I guess it makes sense."

"Logan, I'm not discussing Diego with you."

"I didn't mean it like that. I wasn't fishing for information or nuthin. I just had this image of you being the good girl who always went for geeks or good boys back when we first met. Now I see how wrong that notion was."

She couldn't help but laugh at that. "Um, you are so wrong on both accounts. I never had a type per se. And I was far from the perfect angel everyone seemed to see. I just believed in keeping my personal life private, still do."

Amusement flickered in his eyes at the subtle brush off. Georgie hadn't changed so much over the years. She still didn't like people butting into her business. "Okay, I'll back off. But believe it or not, doll, I'm happy that you're not miserable. With how this all came about, and what we've learned recently, I feared you'd be stuck in a situation that you hated."

The sincerity lacing his words brought a softness to her chocolate colored eyes. Not only had she faced major revelations in the last month, but so had he. Finding out the man he considered a brother lived another life had to have hit him harder than he showed. Georgie lightly touched his arm. "Logan, my life has taken a lot of twists and turns over the years, but I learned to not settle. Was I thrilled with how everything happened? No. But I am happy with Johnny, so is Baylor. I only pray that my past doesn't get any of you hurt." Her gaze dropped and she fidgeted. "Maxie's a concern too. Depending on how she deals with what Cooper did, she could become a loose cannon. Maxie's never more dangerous than when her feelings are hurt or she's angry." Her voice wobbled and she paused to pull herself together. "I don't want to lose my sister, Logan. But it's a good possibility that she's gonna blame me."

Logan wished he could reassure Georgie, but he feared Maxie would react the same way. The blond would never accept Cooper had done what he had. Hell, he'd heard it from his own lips and still wanted to deny it.

Yawning as she stretched to ease some of the stiffness from her muscles, Georgie felt his presence before he even spoke from behind her. Getting a good look at him when he moved up beside her chair, she could see the exhaustion lining his face too. Johnny had been up all night with her, first answering Baylor's multiple questions and then soothing her as her past invaded her dreams. "Everything okay?"

"Yep, everything is fine." He moved around Georgie and started to lift Baylor but Logan reached out and stopped him.

"Leave the little munchkin. She's out cold and probably will be for the rest of the flight. If you move her, she might wake up and you both need to catch a few hours of sleep."

Johnny and Georgie both hesitated, causing Logan to chuckle. "Come on, she'll be perfectly fine out here. If she wakes up I'll send her into you guys. Go."

Pulling Georgie to her feet and steadying her when she swayed, Johnny nodded to Logan before guiding her toward the bedroom in the back of the private jet. Fifteen minutes later he was holding her as her breathing even out and became regular. Brushing a strand of her hair from her cheek, Johnny hoped the time away from Port Charles lightened the load she carried. Because from the phone call he'd just finished, Johnny knew it was the only break from stress Georgie would likely get until the firestorm burned itself out.

Thoughts of what O'Brien had told him swirled in his mind, making it so he had to force himself not to shake her awake and demand answers. But he feared pushing her to confide in things she intentionally kept secret would have her distancing herself once again. On top of his imagination running wild, Johnny now had to worry about who had moved in on his plans for Robin and Sean. He'd put a specific plans in motion for those two and now those were on hold because someone else interfered. Unlike O'Brien, Johnny didn't necessarily rule Jerome out of the equation. From Diego's actions so far, he seemed more focused on Georgie and Baylor, not revenge.

Georgie sighed in her sleep and snuggled closer to him before settling back down. Tightening his arm around her curvy waist, Johnny trailed his free hand down her side and grinned when she shivered and murmured his name. Nothing, but nothing, would touch her ever again, not while he had breath in his body.

Freezing when she turned and her lips barely skimmed over his jaw, Johnny groaned softly.

Georgie watched him from under heavy lids. "I think our daughter kinda interrupted our plans the other night," she whispered. Sliding her thigh up his, she took satisfaction when he squirmed before rolling so that she was trapped underneath him.

"I thought you wanted to sleep," he asked in a hoarse voice.

"Catnaps do wonders, John." Intertwining her fingers through the short hair on the nape of his neck, she giggled at the way his already dark eyes went black with desire. "Unless you're too tired." Lifting her hips to his, she smirked at the hiss he released before pinning her with his weight.

Nipping at her earlobe, he took delight in her soft moan. "Never in a million years, Georgie." He eased his fingertips under his shirt she was using for a night gown and inhaled deeply at how moist her silk panties already were. Dipping his index finger into her tight sheath, he watched as her eyelids flutter while she arched to meet his touch. "God, you are incredible, baby. You're so wet."

Blushing slightly, she sucked on his collarbone while her own hands traveled down to grasp his hard cock through the boxers he'd left on after shedding his dress pants. Whimpering when his middle finger joined the first, she stroked him, causing his hips to buck involuntarily. "I've ached for you since the first time, Johnny."

Blown away by the need clearly visible on her face, Johnny quickly removed his boxers and her panties. When he caught her staring at him, he paused as her small hand wrapped around him once more.

Georgie shoved him onto his side and had dipped her head before he comprehended what she intended. Keeping her eyes locked on his, she slowly swirled her tongue around the tip of his penis, enjoying the rough hitch to his breathing. As he whispered her name, she eased her lips around him and moaned at the way he filled her mouth.

Gasping, it took all his self-control not to thrust into her warm mouth surrounding him. Catching her hair in his shaking hands, Johnny bit his lip to keep from groaning loudly when as she brought him close to the brink of exploding with her talented mouth and tongue. "G-Georgie!" Forcing her to release his aching cock, Johnny dragged her up his body and captured her lips in a hot, demanding lip lock before driving up into her without any warning. Swallowing her scream, he gripped her hips and set an unrelenting rhythm while continuing the assault on her swollen lips.

Clenching her internal muscles around him, Georgie broke the kiss and leaned back, changing the angle of penetration and dug her nails into his shoulders. "Oh God, Johnny!"

Knowing that she getting ready to come, Johnny flipped them so her back hit the mattress and he grinned slyly. His hand slipped between their bodies and flicked at her clit causing her body exploded around him. "Mine!" he growled while sending her over the edge again. "Say it, Georgie!"

"Yours," she whimpered as her nails scored his back when he drove into her faster and with more force. Crashing toward another wave of ecstasy, she twisted her fingers into his hair and pulled his head down while her lips teased his in just the way she knew drove him crazy.

Unable to hold back any longer, Johnny exploded, joining her as they both came. Spent and completely satisfied, he propped himself up on his left elbow and gently kissed her slowly while their hearts slowly returned to their normal rhythm. "You're gonna be the death of me, Georgie."

"Can you think of a better way to go?" she questioned with a playful wink while wiggling so that she was on her side facing him. "Because I personally think I could die happily at the moment."

"Uh uh. I'm not even close to being finished with you, not for a long, long time."

"Good, because I don't think we've even scratched the surface of what I want from you."

"Oh, I see how it is. All I'm good for is sex now?" he teased while she snuggled as close as she could to him.

"Like you'd complain if so," she sleepily tossed back.

Tugging the comforter up around them, Johnny stayed quiet as her body relaxed in his arms. This side of Georgie was an amazing surprise, but one he planned to take great pleasure in exploring. Making sure the alarm was set for an hour before the plane was due to land, he shoved all thoughts of everything away except for her before allowing himself to fall asleep.
