Hey guyys! I'm so sorry 4 going MIA!Hey guys! I'm soo sorry for going MIA. I have no excuse for why I was gone-I will try to work around my busy schedule. I just would like to say this: I can make no commitment as to how many times I upload a week/month. Some months are busier than others, I have volleyball, musical rehearsals, and I'm graduating this year. So please just understand that I will upload new chapters when I can, but I cannot promise anything. I DO want to finish this story this year for sure so I can start new stories! I have a lot of great ideas, but I don't want to balance more than two stories at a time. I'm so sorry people for disappearing! Thanks for understanding and reading! LOVE ALL OF YOU GUYS!
OH AND BTW-I would like to give a shoutout to BunnySwag101 for being the first reviewer of the last chapter! U R AWESOME! Gurrl u NEED 2 make an account! I've noticed that u read and review the same stories I do so I KNOW that you would write an AMAZING story that I'd love!
Disclaimer: I don't own Gallagher Girls.
CAMMIE POV
"If someone like Zach told you to stay away from a guy that he says is trouble, would you believe him?" I asked Macey while she was painting her nails in our room. She put down the nail polish and turned around to look at me.
"It depends on the situation-did he seem jealous?" Macey asked me. I shrugged my shoulders.
"I am so confused with the situation right now so I have no idea anymore."
"Well that's helpful!" Macey said sarcastically while rolling her eyes. I shrugged.
"You should definitely write a book called Boys 101 and make a special one for me, because I am CLUELESS on boys and their odd behavior."
"The day I get that book published you will be the first one to get a copy." I laughed once Macey said that.
"You better! If Liz were here, she would be able to help me out too. She may not have had that many boyfriends, but she was always a wise girl," I said while thinking sadly about Liz. She had been with us since as long as I could remember, but two years ago right before freshman year her mom died and she had to move back home to be with her dad and the rest of her family. She told us she would stay with her family and go to a public school for a year but promised she would be back by sophomore year. We were so excited for her to be back for sophomore year, but she never came back. We lost contact with her too, and we tried not talking about her for a while because we missed her so much. The four of us were like sisters, and it was hard knowing one of our sisters probably wasn't coming back.
"I miss her so much, it feels like we haven't seen her in like 15 million years," Macey said while sighing sadly. I nodded. It was so true that it felt like forever.
"Maybe someday we will see her again...you never know," I said while looking down sadly. We talked for another half an hour and then we decided to go to bed. I was NOT looking forward to dealing with the next day at all.
*next morning*
"GET UP CAM!" Bex screamed in my ear. I jumped out of bed after being startled by Bex. Once I got out of bed, I glared at Bex.
"Seriously?! You had to do that?! Where were you last night anyways? When Mace and I went to bed yesterday you still weren't back," I said while looking at her with a smirk on my face. I was 99% sure that she was with Grant, and judging by the blush on her face I was correct.
"Uhh...ya know I was...around..." Bex said while trailing off. I rolled my eyes at her again and started laughing while I got ready for the day. Once we all were done getting ready we headed down to breakfast together. We had just sat down with our food when Josh sat down next to me.
"So I heard that you and Zach broke up, and I was wondering if you would give me a second chance?" Josh asked me with a cocky look on his face.
"We never broke up because we were never together! And I will NEVER forgive you for what you did to me, so have a nice life," I said as I turned the opposite way and started talking with Bex and ignoring Josh. Josh tapped my shoulder, so I turned around to face him. I was about to ask him what he wanted when he kissed me! I wasn't excited, I was BEYOND mad. I was about to start yelling at him when Bex took him by the collar and pulled him out of the cafeteria. I couldn't see what was going on, but I could hear Bex punching him while Josh was yelling in pain. I didn't hear Bex punching him anymore, so I walked out of the cafeteria to see Josh shoved in the garbage can outside of the cafeteria. I could clearly tell that Bex beat him up well. Bex walked up to him one last time and he whimpered in fear.
"If you EVER do anything like that to my best friend ever again, you won't end up in one piece afterwards!" Bex yelled at him before walking over to me. I put my hand out for a high five and Bex grinned and accepted it.
"Nicely done Bex!" I exclaimed while grinning at her.
"He should've seen that coming-it was his problem."
"True that!" I exclaimed. Right after I said that Zach walked past me with an expressionless face. I looked at him for a minute, but when he caught my eye I turned away right away. Wow-that was AWKWARD.
"Just apologize to stop this awkward tension already!" Bex exclaimed while throwing her hands up in the air.
"No! Then he will just go back to the way he was before! He should just stay out of my business anyways, so technically he should be apologizing to me."
"You two have the most complicated friendship."
"We aren't even friends!"
"Whatever you want to think," Bex said as we sat down and finished our breakfasts.
Later that day, I was walking down the hallway listening to music when I heard a huge crash. I took my ear buds out and ran to the source of the noise. When I got to the supply closet, I saw Zach covered head to toe in paint. I knew things were awkward between us, but I couldn't help but crack up at the sight.
"Wow Gallagher girl, real mature," Zach said sarcastically.
"I can't help it! How did you fail so badly and get covered in paint?" I asked him while still laughing.
"I was reaching for something when I completely slipped and slammed into a shelf of paint. I think you can figure out the rest."
"You're such an idiot sometimes, Zach!" I exclaimed while still laughing. Suddenly, a grin formed on Zach's face. I was wondering what he was thinking when his grin got even bigger.
"Do you want a hug, Gallagher girl?" Zach asked me with his arms out wide and quickly coming towards me. He was covered head to toe in paint, so I started backing away really quickly.
"No, Zach, please-"I started but stopped as my back hit the wall. It was too late. Zach picked me up and pulled me right into his chest. My clothes were ruined! He then picked me up and spun me around.
"Everyone needs hugs!" Zach exclaimed as he got more paint on my clothes. In return, once he let me go I grabbed a bucket of paint and dumped it on his head.
"I was right-green is definitely your color," I said while smirking.
"IT'S ON GALLAGHER GIRL!" Zach yelled as he took paint and smeared it all over my face. Our paint war continued until we ran out of paint. As we walked out of the supply closet, people passing in the hallway were giving us questioning looks. Macey once passed us in the hallway and shook her head while smirking. I then looked at Zach-maybe he was just trying to protect me.
"For what happened before-I'm sorry. I know you were just trying to protect me," I said while looking him in the eye.
"It's cool, Gallagher girl. I only warned you because I care about you," Zach said as he put his arm around me. At that moment, I finally realized that Zach was a lot different than I thought. He would always be annoying and cocky, but he also had really cute moments when his sensitive side came out. Mr. Solomon suddenly came up behind us and tapped us on the shoulder. As we turned around to face Mr. Solomon, I shrugged Zach's arm off of my shoulder. When I finally got to look at Mr. Solomon, I was expecting to see him glaring at us. Instead, he looked at us with an amused face.
"If this wasn't such an amusing sight, I would be very upset right now. I don't want to know what happened, but once you get cleaned up I expect you two to clean up the floor. You guys are leaving a huge paint trail," Mr. Solomon said while trying to look serious, but failing.
We both nodded and started cracking up as he walked away. I then looked at Zach with a smile on my face. "I will see you in a little bit then," I said as I opened the door to my room. He smiled and nodded as he walked away. Once I closed the doors, I closed my eyes for a moment, only to be interrupted from my thoughts by someone throwing a towel at me.
"Stop daydreaming about Zach and get cleaned up already!" Bex exclaimed as she was typing on her laptop.
I started laughing really hard. "That's a good one, Bex! Daydreaming about Zach-HILARIOUS!" I exclaimed while laughing.
Macey rolled her eyes. "It's obvious you were! You had your Zach face on, Cam. It's a pretty obvious face."
"What are you talking about?! I DON'T have a Zach face."
"Yeah you do, Cam. Even I recognize it as the "Zach, my love" face," Bex said while not tearing her eyes away from her laptop.
"EW! THAT IS WRONG! Now I'm going to go get cleaned up and then I have to go clean the floors with Zach," I said while heading towards the bathroom.
"YOU LOVE ZACH!" Macey yelled.
"NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!" I yelled back as I closed the door to our bathroom. Once I finished showering, I put new clothes on and threw my hair in a messy bun before heading out the door. I texted Zach that I was ready to start cleaning, and we met in the hallway. I figured that the paint had already dried, so we decided to head back to the supply closet to get the things we needed.
As we were cleaning, Zach suddenly looked at me. "Do you ever miss your family while you're away?"
I smiled. "Well, my mom is headmistress, so I still see her frequently. How about you? Do you miss your family?" I asked him.
Suddenly, Zach's eyes got really dark. "My dad left us when I was six. I still remember asking him where he was going, and he just looked at me, rolled his eyes, and left. He never cared about me. At least I have a great mom. I do miss her while I'm gone." (A/N-Zach's mom won't be a bad person/criminal in this story-she's just going to be a nice, average mom)
Zach wouldn't look at me for a minute, so I stopped cleaning the floor and put my hand on his. That finally got him to look up. "I know what it's like to not have a dad. When I was five, my dad was in a plane crash. No one survived the crash, and no remnants were found. I don't even remember him anymore," I said while looking at the sky.
Zach smirked. "We finally have something in common. Both of our dads are gone and aren't coming back. Now we can bond over this!" He exclaimed as he threw his arm around me.
I rolled my eyes. "Suuuuuure," I said sarcastically.
"Yup! Now all you need to realize is that you're madly in love with me."
I scoffed. "In your dreams, Goode."
"Someday it will become a reality!" He exclaimed.
We continued cleaning the floor, but needed more soap. "We should probably go back to the supply closet and get more soap now-we have almost none left," I said while getting off of the floor.
"Alright, let's go," Zach said as he got up and we started walking. Once we got to the closet, Zach grabbed some more soap. "So, when are you going to realize you're madly in love with me?" Zach asked me.
"I'll realize that the day pigs fly."
Zach walked extremely close to me, so close that our faces were inches away from each other. "So you don't find my eyes hypnotizing?"
I tried to avoid his eyes, but he grabbed my chin and gently forced me to look at him. I was suddenly swept up in his pools of emerald green. "Uhhh…" I responded weakly. He started to lean in when a broom fell over and snapped me out of the trance I was in. I backed away and headed for the door. I turned the door to open it, but it was locked.
"OH CRAP!" I exclaimed.
Nothin left to say-REVIEW!
