Hey guys! I figured I'd upload this chapter on Christmas as a christmas present for y'all! I'm sorry for not updating lately, but I'm not going to lie-school had me REALLY stressed out the past few weeks! Now I'm done for winter break and plan on working ahead on more chapters so there won't be as long of a gap between the chapters as there was the last time-ONCE AGAIN I AM STILL SO SORRY FOR GOING MIA FOR THAT LONG! But OMG I think I got my inspiration back! The past couple chapters and the past five or so months I haven't really had any inspiration for the two stories I'm writing, and the only reason I still continued to write was because I knew I couldn't let you guys down! But now I have really had some inspiration and I'm excited to continue to write these chapters! Hopefully I can update my stories more often-HOPEFULLY. I'm not making any promises! Sorry for my babbling, on to the story!
Disclaimer: I don't own the Gallagher Girls series. Simple as that.
"What?" Zach asked with confusion on his face.
"The door is locked-in other words we are stuck in here."
"Well, look on the bright side! Now a certain Gallagher girl can realize her feelings for me."
"Do you really want to get smacked in the face with a broom?" I asked him while glaring.
"Fine, but you will realize it at some point!"
"So, what's our plan?" I asked him.
"Do you have your phone with you?"he asked me.
"Nope."
"Alright then...our plan is to sit and wait for someone to open the closet."
"WHAT?! THAT'S YOUR PLAN?!" I exclaimed in frustration.
"Well, I don't hear you making some genius idea, so I say we go with my plan."
"Where is your phone?" I asked Zach.
"It died earlier and I couldn't find the charger, but I figured I'd leave it there instead of walking around carrying a dead phone. It seemed kind of useless."
"Alright-how are we going to pass the time?"
"How about we just talk without bringing up dating?" Zach asked me.
"Sure, why not."
The time flew by, and before I knew it it was really late at night. We had talked for hours! Finally Zach wasn't being the most annoying person in the world! We continued to talk until I got tired and wanted to sleep.
"Zach, I want to go to sleep now. Wake me up if someone finally rescues us," I said.
"Actually, I'm going to sleep too. But one problem-there's only space for one of us to lie down..." Zach said hesitantly.
I thought about it for a moment before saying something.
"I guess then we are just going to have to take turns sleeping."
"Or, I have a better idea! We can both sleep, but you're going to have to lie on top of me," Zach said like it was the most casual thing ever.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not going to lie on top of you Zach."
"I'm not going to do anything to you, and I'm not trying to make things awkward. It's just the only way we can both sleep at the same time."
I finally gave in and nodded in agreement. He smirked and lay down, and grabbed my hand and pulled me down to rest on top of him. I would never admit it, but I didn't mind sleeping on top of him. My head rested on top of his chest, and he slowly started to discreetly wrap his arms around me. I got sick of watching him trying to do it discreetly and grabbed his arms and placed them around me. Zach seemed surprised at first but then smirked. I turned myself around so I was facing Zach and rested my head carefully on his chest. I couldn't believe that I was enjoying it! He started to rub his hands up and down my waist, and I let him. (And before all you people with sick minds start assuming things, NO he was not doing it in an inappropriate way!) Before I knew it, I was peacefully falling asleep.
I woke up the next morning to find myself still on Zach with both of our arms around each other. It was pretty funny because it looked like we were hugging each other! I was going to wake Zach up and get up, but I was WAAY to comfy. I figured we would get up at some point, but not for a while. Suddenly Zach started to stir.
"Cam, we better get up."
"Noo! Not yet, I'm too comfy," I said as I continued to rest on top of him.
Zach smirked while saying, "Alright, I'm cool with that." He wrapped his arms around me a little bit tighter, and we tried to go back to sleep.
"Gallagher girl?" Zach asked me.
"Yeah? What?"
"Why do you hate me so much?" Zach asked me.
"Zach, I could never hate you. Sure, you're annoying sometimes, and I really don't like that cocky side of yours, but I don't hate you. Plus, when the different side of you comes out that isn't cocky and annoying, I actually enjoy being around you," I said honestly.
Zach wasn't able to respond to that because right after I finished saying that the door flew open! It turned out to be Bex and Grant, and I was so relieved to be out of the closet!
I ran to Bex and hugged her. "THANK YOU BEX, THANK YOU!" I exclaimed.
She laughed and hugged me back. "One quick question-why were you on top of Zach?"
I blushed and Zach rolled his eyes.
"There was only room for one of us to lie down so we figured that it'd make sense to just have her lie on top of me-duh," Zach stated.
"Alright then-well Cam, we should go back to our room because Macey and I were very worried that something bad had happened to you!" Bex exclaimed while pulling me away. I looked back to see Zach smirking at me, so I smirked back at him as a way of saying goodbye. I had a feeling that after what had happened, nothing would be the same.
Later that day Macey, Bex and I were headed to go get lunch when my mom stopped me and told me to meet her at her office. I wondered what was going on, but walked there without saying anything. Once I got to her office, I saw a really cute looking guy sitting there.
"Cam, I need you to show this boy around. He is new, and you will be his tour guide."
"Alright, cool," I said as the cute guy and I walked out of the office. The guy suddenly stopped me and put his arms around my waist. "Alright babe, I'm Austin and you're hot so let's go make out right now," he said as he started to slowly push me against the wall.
I quickly got out of his grasp and stayed a little far away from him. "First off, my name is Cammie. And second, I don't want to make out with you!" I exclaimed. I thought he was hot, until I realized he had an obnoxious personality.
Austin rolled his eyes. "It's okay babe, I know we just met two minutes ago. We can always make out later!"
"How about never? I like the sound of that!" I exclaimed.
Part of the day went by, and Austin was as annoying as ever. We were walking down the hallway when Austin pushed me up against the wall and put his hands on either side of me.
"Babe, I know you really want to make out with me as much as I want to make out with you. So, let's just cut to the chase," Austin said as he started to lean in. I pushed him away and got out of his grasp at the last second before our lips met.
"I have a boyfriend!" I exclaimed in anger.
Austin smirked. "Really? Where is he?"
"He should be coming into this hallway soon, because his dorm is right around here," I said realizing I was going to have to make Zach pretend he was my boyfriend. It was the only way to get Austin away from me. Zach suddenly walked down the hallway, and I was never so happy to see him.
"Zach! I've missed you! I haven't seen you all day!" I exclaimed as I hugged him.
"Who is this?!" Austin asked angrily.
"I just so happen to be her boyfriend. Now who are you?" Zach asked him possessively. i let go of Zach and turned to face Austin, but Zach wrapped his arms around me from behind and pulled me towards him while resting his head on top of mine. I put my hands on top of his. We fit perfectly together, but I'd never admit that to Zach.
"I'm the guy that should be her boyfriend. I'm watching you," Austin said as he walked away. Zach and I just stood there together for a few minutes in silence.
Zach finally broke the silence. "You're lucky I just so happened to be in the hallway and heard most of the conversation."
"I know-thank you! We might have to pretend that we are together for the next few days or weeks, but that won't be that bad," I said.
"You know I'll always jump at the opportunity to be your fake boyfriend. Plus, that guy is really creepy and obnoxious! I will be your fake boyfriend for as long as you need me to," Zach said while tightening his grip on me.
"Thanks Zach, you're not half as annoying as I thought you were," I said while smiling.
"PROGRESS!" Zach exclaimed and I laughed. Our moment was interrupted when we heard our friends coming. We let go of one another and went to join the rest of our friends.
"Are you guys coming to lunch now?" Macey asked us impatiently. We nodded and walked to lunch with the rest of our friends. Since Zach and I were walking so close to one another, sometimes our hands would brush up against one another, and for once I didn't mind that I was so close to him. Once we got our lunch and sat down, Zach immediately sat down next to me and put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer towards him. I wondered why he did that when Austin wasn't even in the room, but I went along with it anyways.
Suddenly Zach leaned in and whispered in my ear, "Don't look now, but Austin is in the room and he is at the table right behind us staring at us." I looked at Zach and nodded in reply.
Macey and Bex looked at each other in awe and turned to look at us. "So, are you guys finally going out?" Macey asked excitedly.
Zach pulled me as close to him as humanly possible while saying, "Yup, it's official! I knew that Cam couldn't resist my charm for much longer."
"HA! You each owe me 50 dollars, guys!" Macey exclaimed. Bex rolled her eyes but handed her the money anyways. Grant and Nick promised to pay Macey later.
I was confused. "Why does everyone owe you 50 dollars?" I asked.
Macey rolled her eyes, like it was something obvious. "We bet on how long it was going to take until you and Zach got together! Duh! Bex, Grant, and Nick said it was going to take a month, but I bet it was going to be about two weeks-I won!" Macey exclaimed excitedly.
"You seriously bet on how long it was going to take?! Really guys?!" I exclaimed.
"Well of course we did! It was obvious that you liked Zach from day one! Plus, the past few days you were REALLY falling for him. It was obvious that you were staring at him and drooling! Plus, you started saying his name in your sleep, and- " Macey said before I cut her off.
"Okay! We don't need to share any more reasons!" I exclaimed while my face got all red. Zach only smirked and brought his face closer to mine.
"Is that so, Gallagher girl? Sounds like you wish I was your actual boyfriend," Zach whispered in my ear while holding my hand with his hand that wasn't around my waist. I couldn't think with how close he was to me, it was intoxicating.
"Uhhh…" I said as I was at a loss for words. Zach smirked and made me look into his eyes. From that moment on, I was in a trance-a beautiful, emerald green trance. He gently grasped my hand again and got up, making me do the same.
"We will be back in a minute," Zach said as he gently pulled me out of the room and into the hallway. Once we got into the hallway, Zach grabbed my wrist and looked at me. I tried to avoid his eyes to not allow my trance to get worse.
"Gallagher girl, please just look at me for one minute, can you do that?" Zach asked me.
"No, I can't. You know what will happen if I look you in the eyes."
Zach took my face in his hands, and I was already starting to fall into his trap. And I couldn't do just that. "Who says that what happens after you look into my eyes will be a bad thing?" Zach asked as he turned my head to look at him. I closed my eyes, because I knew I couldn't.
"It would be a bad thing. I don't know what's wrong with me right now, but I need to figure this out and get rid of it as soon as possible."
Zach rubbed my cheek soothingly with his thumb. "Just don't even think about it and just give in to it. Just open your eyes, Gallagher girl."
His voice put me into a trance, and before I knew it my eyes were open. After that, all I could see was green and my legs felt like jelly. His eyes were just so hypnotizing! Zach had to put his arms around me to support me since it was clear that my legs weren't supporting me. He started to lean in, and there was nothing I could do about it. If I wasn't in a trance, I would've easily pushed him away. He was about an inch away from me when suddenly a scream was heard from Macey. I instantly broke out of the trance and went running back to where we were sitting. I was shocked to see what I saw next, but I had never been happier. Right next to Macey was someone I thought I would never see again, Liz Sutton.
