Hello, there! Wow, we are finally at the end! Yay! Now I apologize for this being really, really short and not looking like an epilogue and more of a flashback but that's what I wanted. I've seen it done it films so why not? But thank you for the follows, faves and reviews for this story, it means everything! And thank you for your patience while it was on hold :) So let's see the epilogue, huh?
Epilogue: Our Beginning
Two years ago:
Sixteen-year-old David looked out his bedroom window still playing with the promise ring he was going to give Rose that night, his heart broken. He gazed up at the night sky wondering if she was out there, if she was okay.
Part of him should've been angry, should've been screaming, cursing maybe even badmouthing her to a couple of his friends on the phone, right now but he couldn't. Something must've happened, he reasoned. Rose wasn't a cruel person. Never.
Still it did hurt. A lot.
David sighed heavily and glanced at the ring, wondering what to do with it, now.
He could toss it, save it for another girl or pawn it like Mickey suggested. But David shook his head at that.
David slowly walked over to his drawer and carefully placed the ring inside. He'd figure out what to do with it later. Who knows maybe she would come back. There was still that possibility. Or he could just be lying to himself.
But something deep inside his heart told him it wasn't over, yet. Not all love stories were sad. Though it seemed silly a small hopeful smile formed across his face.
Maybe they're love story was just beginning.
David then heard his mother calling him, he closed the drawer and headed downstairs.
A minute later a plane flew by in the distance from his window disappearing into the starry sky.
