Chapter 16: I See All

Mya's P.O.V

As soon as I managed to figure out how to use a dinghy, I used all the strength I had to row it hard enough to get back on the island. And that took a lot of effort.
I fell onto the sand, panting. How the hell do people do this? I mustered up the little strength I had left and stood up.
And as if all that exercise wasn't enough, now it was time to run.
I knew very well that the effect of that fish poison wouldn't last long, and when it faded, Peter would come after me.
My plan was to get as far away as possible and then find a suitable hiding place. Preferably not a tree.
As I ran with those thoughts in mind, I bumped into something, or rather, someone. Crap. He found me.
I didn't want to lift my head up, scared of who I might see. But as two arms surrounded me, I found myself trapped in an embrace. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked up to see my dad.
"Dad!" I cried, hugging him tightly, making sure he was real and not just a vision from the lack of rest. "How did you escape?" I wondered, still holding onto him.
My father let me go and it was only then I noticed the crew behind him. Rescue party much? "How did you?" He asked back, surprised. I felt a little insulted. What? He didn't think I could have beaten an immortal, super-powerful boy? How dare he even doubt it for a second.
"Ah it was nothing, piece of cake." I brushed it off. "Speaking of cake, I'm hungry..." A piece of chocolate cake ended up in my hand. I really loved this trick. My father raised an eyebrow. "What? It's quicker." I said taking a huge bite of cake. Man was I hungry.
He shook his head at me and turned to the crew. "Let's go. We have a ship to prepare." The men started to go back the way they came and my father glanced back at me. "We're going home."
I grinned, my mouth probably covered in cake, and followed him and the crew back to the beach, where a familiar fae was waiting for us.
"Tink?" It was more of a statement than a question.
"Hello, Mya." She smiled widely at me. "Glad to be going home?"
"You have no idea." I replied. But I actually hadn't thought about home much. I didn't really have any time to think lately. It was mostly run, escape, run a little more. And hide. And then run again.
So much running...
I wondered if I'd miss the adventure I had while I was here. I certainely wouldn't miss that backstabbing son of a-
"Mya! Hurry up!" My father called, he was already on a dinghy with a few men, the rest were already on a moving dinghy, towards the Jolly Roger.
"Coming!" I shouted back. After saying goodbye to Tinkerbelle, I jumped on the dinghy and we started floating to our ship.

Third Person

Peter waited until the poison's effect vanished to materialize back to camp. He would have gone to find Mya but didn't see the point in it now. He had to wait for the right moment, catch her off guard. He had to let her believe she had won for now.
"Felix!" He called as he arrived besides the tree trunk. And Felix's figure immidiately exited it.
His face was pale, almost in shock, as if he'd seen a ghost. "Pan, you- did you-"
Peter knew what he meant to ask. It annoyed him to have to say he failed. Peter Pan never fails. "No."
Felix sighed in relief, but seeing Pan's face when he did, he quickly covered it up with an "oh."
"Not yet." Peter continued, smirking. "Why? What happened?" He could tell something was up. He had never seen Felix terrified... Of anything but him, that is.
"Your- Your shadow has returned." Felix stuttered.
Peter's eyes widened. Without a word, he quickly stepped around Felix and entered the tree trunk.
All the Lost Boys were there, standing still, surrounding something. They looked curious, but didn't speak, not even when they saw Pan. They just let him pass, creating a gap through which he could see what they were staring at.
Peter contained himself not to gasp at the sight of a girl.
A girl with dirty red hair, dressed in rags who was crouched on the floor in a corner. But that wasn't the curious thing about the girl... Her eyes had been sewed shut, and now appeared to be on the palms of her hands. Peter knew what he had been expecting, but was still shocked by seeing her for the first time. "Boys, leave us." The Lost Boys did as they were told and left the tree trunk.
"Hello, Peter Pan." She greeted, lifting her hands up, so her eyes could see him. "You sent your shadow for me."
It took a moment for Peter to compose himself, but he did. "Indeed I have."
"Why?" She asked, her voice was rough but childlike all the same.
"Because, I need you to use your power. Seer." He spat out the last word.
"And for what would that be?"
"You see all, don't you?" She slowly nodded. "Then take a wild guess."
"You want me to tell you if the girl you have has the heart you search for."
"Correct." He grinned wickedly at her. "Now, tell me."
"Does it matter if I do?" She tilted her head slightly. "We both know you won't kill her."
Peter's smirk faded. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Isn't it obvious? You care for her." She replied plainly.
His face hardened. "I'm afraid you're wrong. But let's just say, for argument sake, that you're not. I'd still care about my island and myself more." She didn't reply, just looked at him with those blue eyes stuck to her palms. "So speak. Tell me if she's the owner of that very special heart."
"I cannot speak, for I cannot say." The seer said, earning a groan from a really frustrated Peter.
"Do you think you could tone down with all the riddles? I'd like straight answers. And I have ways of getting them out of you which won't be pleasurable."
"You didn't let me finish." She let her hands drop down by her side. "I cannot speak. But I can draw."
Peter blinked, confused. "Draw?"
"Hand me a piece of parchment and something to write with, will you?" She outstretched one of her hands.
Peter rolled his eyes, annoyed, but did as she asked and a parchment and a piece of chalk appeared in her hand. "There."
"Thank you." She replied, and started drawing, still crouched on the floor. Peter tried to see what it was that she was doing but her arms were preventing him from seeing anything. When she was done, she stood up and folded the parchment in her hand.
Peter raised an eyebrow. "Well? Give it to me."
"And what do I get in return?" The seer asked.
"Your life." He replied smugly. "Now give it here." He took a step forward and grabbed the parchment out of her hand, she reluctantly let him.
Slowly, he unfolded the parchment...
