This is chapter twenty-three of Harry's first year. I don't own any of the characters except for the ones I do own Enjoy.
Dinner went off without a hitch. It was the last meal the Weasley's would have at Hogwarts. Ginny and Molly left early after another Prank was cast on them. Author stay behind to get a few more hours of peace before he and the twins left. Ron and Percy would leave with the Conrad family that morning.
Later after everyone had settled down Draco and Harry would be hanging out in the Slytherin common room.
"Hey, Harry there's another present here for you." Draco passes the badly wrapped gift over to him. "The card only has your name on it." Severus looks up from his book watching as Harry carefully looked at the gifted.
"Uncle Sev, do you know who sent me this?" Harry looks at it in confusion. Severus looks but has no idea who sent it.
"Open it and see maybe we'll find out who sent the gift." Harry nods while carefully opening.
"It's an old cloak." Draco inches away from the dirty thing. "Why would anyone send me an old cloak. Even Ms. Weasley homemade sweaters were cleaner." Draco nods agreeing while glaring at the itch Gryffindor red sweater he got.
Harry stands up shacking the old cape off when Severus jumps catching everyone off guard.
"It's that invisibility cloak" He ready to burn it when he catches Harry's eyes. The sparkle in them had both boys asking him a hundred questions a minute. "This cloak belonged to your father Harry and I will tell you and Draco more tomorrow."
"But uncle Sev" they whine hoping to stay awake a bit longer.
"Fine but be back in the dorm by eleven got it." Both boys ran out of the room by then
The boys raced out of the room just when Minerva walked in.
"Severus, we needed to talk." He groans already knowing this was going a long talk. Harry beat Draco to the Ravenclaw tower where the Conrad family and guest where sleeping.
"Luna get Viktor and come down I found something awesome." She and Viktor race out the room with a quick bye to everyone.
"Take Ron with you." Viktor and Ron whine.
"I'm not asking I'm telling." She glares while kicking them out.
"So where are we headed?" Viktor asks trying to ignore the glaring Weasley.
Both boys and Luna watch as Draco appears in front of them.
"Wow, how did you get an Invisibility cloak," Ron asked sound more jealous than he did before the therapy.
"It belonged to my father. Doesn't matter let go explore." Harry Is hoping foot to foot not letting Ron bring him down.
"Where should we explore first" they stop walking and look around while under the cloak.
"The library." They look at Luna spooked that she spoke out so loudly. "It holds a special item on you can only receive if you want to give it away." Hey, cheery baby blue eyes shine as she leads the way.
"Okay, we're here, now where first." Draco heads to the restricted section.
"Draco bad idea." Harry goes to say until a look from Draco made him stop. "Harry I can sense something come from that area." He points towards the darkened area. "It's close and it's strong."
"Then we should go get a professor. I just saw the-" Ron goes to say but was cut off by the others following Draco and Harry. The children walked down what slowly turns into a long dark hallway. The come to a large dark oak door.
"It's behind that door." They look at Draco. "What we have two Gryffindors here where the bravery."
"Draco I'm in the house of the brave that doesn't mean I'm looking for danger." Ron behind him nods.
"Aw, so your scared little Gryffindor." Harry laughs until Ron rushes up to the door.
"Gryffindor is the house of the brave and no one calls us chickens." He slams the door open causing a bang to echo throughout the building.
"Ron you idiot Filch will still give us a detention if he sees us." Harry grabs Luna and Viktor and hides under the cloak while Draco castes a notice me not charm on himself.
"Please work please work" he chants while Ron freaks out and hides in the room not noticing Ms. Norris jump in just before he closed the door. Flinch stomps around looking for the brat that made the loud noise. He passes by Draco and the others multiple times before he checked the room. He giggles the handle but its locket. He turns around walking away when a piercing scream comes from the room. Ron runs out, Ms. Norris clawing his face, right into Filch. Ms. Norris hops into Filch's arms as he grabs Ron's collar.
"You are in a world of trouble, Mr. Weasley." He drags a kicking and screaming Ron out of the Library.
"You think he going to snitch?" Draco looks at Harry with a duh look on his face.
"Than we better explore while we can" Viktor walks into the room with no hesitation.
"Okay if he isn't in Gryffindor than I'm transferring into Hufflepuff. It's a promise." Draco says walking with both Harry and Luna behind them.
"Hey, guys come and check this out." The rush over to see him looking in a large mirror. "Look it's my dad he here for Christmas.
"Really I see my mother holding out her arms to me." Luna turns around after saying that.
"I see my father holding the new Nimbus 2000." He looks in the mirror in confusion. "Why would my father be in this mirror holding a broom I know I can't have until my second year. Harry, what do you see?" Harry looks frozen in place as tears fall from his eyes.
"Harry are you okay." Viktor shakes him, but he doesn't react. "Harry are you okay."
"I'm fine um can we go" He walks out of the room in a rush almost leaving them behind. "Are we ready to go?"
"Yeah, Harry lets go." The snuck Luna and Viktor back into Ravenclaw tower and headed back to the Slytherin dorm to sleep.
The next morning Harry and Draco woke up early to wish Luna and Viktor goodbye. They eat breakfast with them hearing about their night.
"My mother was furious with us and for what you think." Viktor plopped down across from Harry with Luna in front of Draco. "She chewed us out for getting caught." Luna giggled when Draco's jaw dropped.
"We got chewed out by uncle Sev for causing Mr. Filch trouble." He grumbled poking at his eggs.
"I believe we didn't really get yelled at only Ronald did." Luna giggled again taking a bite of her muffin.
"Well, I think we all-" Minerva slammed her hands down on to the table.
"Mr. Potter you will be staying in the Gryffindor dorm tonight." She leans over him daring him to speak up.
"Minerva, we have had this talk before."
"No Severus he is one of my Lion and he will do what I say."
"Say's who" Harry stands up screaming "I am Heir Harrison James Potter You have no right to talk to me that way." He stands up and walks away.
"You owe him an apology or your going to pay Minerva." Severus follows Harry catching him talking to Albus.
"Headmaster I won't deny I was with Ron last night but it was him that attack Mr. Filch's cat, not me."
"Well, Mr. Potter you have an item that is not allowed in this school. So please hand it over." He holds out his hand like a little boy demanding sweets. Severus steps in with fury in his eye.
"So, Potter senior could have his cloak but not Harry."
"Now now Severus you should be happy. You hated this thing."
"Weather I dislike it or not doesn't matter what does matter is that you are being highly unfair with Heir Potter and I won't stand for it." Severus sends Harry back to the dorm. "If you want Mr. Potter Cloak than go back in time and inform your past self that this cloak isn't allowed in Hogwarts and only then will you get it."
"Severus does not walk away from me I am the boy's magical guardian." Severus stops walking.
"You're his magical guardian?" the joy in his voice wasn't heard by Albus.
"Yes, I am so you will hand the cloak over to me by lunch." Think he finally had them he jumps when Severus hands him the Goblin signed paper.
"You are being sued." He smirks at him. "He is Potter Heir soon to be lord Potter by his Twelve Birthday and knows nothing of being a lord. What were you expecting the goblins to do sing a song? The goblins take this very seriously." He steps back letting the children pass him "They wrote these papers up after suggesting multiple books for Harry to read. Albus, you didn't do your job. So now you suffer." Severus walked away from the furious Headmaster in glee.
