Chapter 33: Boy In The Water
Third Person
Mya ran to her cabin, locking herself in. She ignored any attempts her father made to get her to exit, so he could apologize. She even renounced to food.
And that's when you know there's a problem.
Hook sighed, his face still leaning against her cabin door. "Mya, please."
No response.
This time, he decided it was time for him to go rest as well. She'd cool off in the morning, that's when he'd try to talk to her again.
He walked out on deck, where his crew was still shuffling back and forth frenetically.
Hook looked out at the black night sky, wishing he were back home, wishing he had never come to this god forsaken island in the first place. He was about to turn away, go to his own cabin, when something caught his eye.
There was a figure floating in the water. Hook narrowed his eyes, frowning. Certainly it wasn't real. He had been drinking, and he was tired. This could be a hallucination. "Smee!" He called out, his eyes not drifting from the figure.
"Yes, sir?" The sailor immediately appeared at his side.
"Do you see that?" Hook pointed at the figure, which was moving closer to the ship.
Smee's eyes widened. "Aye, captain. It's a-" He seemed to frown at his own words. "A boy."
Mya's P.O.V
I couldn't sleep that night. But then again, can you blame me? My father had started drinking again because of me, and no matter how desperately I wanted to see Peter right now, I knew it would just make things worse if I did.
My father had, more than once, tried to apologize. I wouldn't be surprised if he were lying besides my door at this precise moment, hoping I'd come out.
But I didn't want to talk right now. I didn't want to listen either.
I just wanted to sleep. And just as I was about to, I heard shouting from the deck. I groaned, standing up.
If this was all a scheme to get me to leave my cabin, my father was a dead man.
I opened the door cautiously to find no one outside it. Good sign. I walked to the deck, following the shouts, which became clearer now.
"Boy in the water! There's a boy in the water!" A boy? I frowned as I saw my father and Smee pulling on a rope.
The rope soon finished, and at it's end was a boy. He looked about fourteen or so, I moved closer. My father still hadn't noticed me.
"Hey lad, get the sea out of your lungs." He said as the boy coughed out water.
"Who are you?" The boy asked, his eyes still adjusting to the bright light, which was pointed at him.
"My name's Hook. Captain Hook." I scoffed as he specified the fact that he was captain. I hated when he imposed his authority like that. Hearing my scoff, my father turned to look at me, and grinned. Then he looked back at the fourteen-year-old. "Welcome aboard the Jolly Roger m'boy."
Third Person
"What do you mean you lost him?" Peter groaned angrily at the shadow.
"He fell into the water." It replied. It's soundless voice echoing in the tree trunk.
Peter sighed in frustration. No one here was capable of following orders, not even his shadow. It had one task. Find that boy, and bring him to Neverland. Instead, it brought a girl who was squeaky and weak. Nothing like Mya. It took him a lot of self-control not to end her life right where she stood. Peter let the girl return to her home after barely a night had passed in her world. She was a nuisance anyways.
And now that the shadow managed to complete it's task, it lost the boy. In the water. "Find him. And bring him to me." He better not be dead, Peter thought, or this is all over.
I know it's short but it's mainly a filler one. I will publish a longer one next time!
Well... GUESS WHO?
hehe :) I thought it was about time we introduced one of our little friends from the show. It's probably not the right time-space for him, maybe too late, maybe too early idk. But I know he appears sooner or later, so here he is.
Ready to complicate stuff for everyone. Heheheh
