A pokémon adventure ch 2
Outskirts of Viridian city
"Scyther, use false swipe, now!"
Scyther lunged forward to slash the Ralts they had encountered.
"Now, go pokeball!"
With a couple of shakes, the pokeball signaled the Ralts was caught.
'Ralts, the feeling pokémon, Ralts has the ability to perceive people and Pokémon's emotions thanks to the horns in its head. If it perceives negative energy, it'll protect itself.
Level 6, male, nature shows to be impish'
As Erza lifted the pokeball from the ground she got out the tall grass as her scyther trailed behind.
Further down the road Jellal fished on the nearby lake as his misdreavus floated around and bulbasaur played with his vine whip pretending it was another fishing rod. Since the road to pewter city was pretty straightforward they decided to tag along for the time being. As Erza approached him a sudden tug to his fishing rod caught his attention, quickly getting to his feet he gave misdreavus a command "when the pokémon comes out use psywave misdreavus" and with a forceful pull he yelled "NOW!" just as a pokémon was pulled out of the water. After misdreavus attacked the pokémon Jellal threw a pokeball, and with a couple of shakes the pokémon was caught.
'Magikarp, the fish pokémon, due to his weak swimming muscles it gets carried away by currents, many of these pokémon are found in natural pools
Level 18, male, nature shows to be adamant'
Erza greeted and proceeded to show him her new pokémon when a startled bulbasaur caught the attention of both.
"What is it bulbasaur? Did you catch something?" Jellal asked as the bulbasaur nodded. "Whoa, you certainly caught a whopper" he stated as he pulled the vine, "here, let me help" Erza said as she pulled too.
That is, until a gyarados appeared on the surface.
"What in the world is a gyarados doing here anyway?!" Erza questioned as they all ran away from the enraged pokémon and into a nearby building.
A guard that was at the building greeted them as they came "Hello there, are you here for the pokémon league inscriptions?" was his question as they both tried to catch their breaths.
"There are inscriptions for the pokémon league?" Erza questioned the guard.
"Yeah for the juvenile champion title" the guard explained.
"You see, for a mature champion title you must defeat the elite four and the current champion, but for the juvenile title there's a tournament held every year, anyone under 21 can participate and the trainers with 6 or more badges can access directly to the semifinals" as the guard took some list he said "are you thinking about participating? We accept inscriptions the whole year"
"What do you say red?" Jellal asked as he checked the lists.
"What? You don't think you ca get to the semifinals directly?" Erza taunted him as she checked a nearby window to make sure the gyarados was back in the depths of the pond.
"So that will be the goal red? Getting to the semifinals? What will I get when I win" he smirked at her.
"We can talk about that after I win" she said as she thanked the guard and exited the building.
"Are you planning on going now to the pewter city gym? I heard the Viridian gym has been closed for quite a while now, and even if it did they say the gym leader doesn't accept first gym challengers" Jellal told her as when he caught up with her.
"Yeah, I think that's the best idea" she responded as they headed for the pokémon center to prepare for the trip.
-After an uneventful trip across the Viridian forest-
"Well red, we made it, this is Pewter city" Jellal stated as they approached the city.
"I always thought the trip would be longer, since all those kids usually take a week or two on their journeys, by the way why did all those trainers only use bug pokémon?" She wondered as they headed for the gym.
As they entered the gym, both were greeted by the guide "hi there trainers! Welcome to the Pewter city gym" he proceeded to show them the area of the gym "this gym specializes in rock time pokémon, so I would recommend that you used a water type pokémon or a grass one" he kept giving both trainers advice until a voice cut him off.
"Welcome challengers, well, this is a change from the usual kids" the owner of the voice approached them "my name is Jura Neekis and I'm the Pewter city gym leader, so are you ready to take the gym challenge?" he asked as he called his pokémon.
With a rumble from the ground a Rhyperior appeared followed by a Golem and a Rampardos.
"Actually this is our first gym challenge sir" Jellal explained "Well, you see the reason is…" he stuttered.
"What would be the beginners challenge" Erza asked as she interrupted Jellal.
"Well since it is your first gym battle I'll fight you right now if you want" Jura stated.
"Well do you mind if I go first blue?" Erza called Jellal.
"Yeah, sure it's okay red" he said quietly.
Quickly the guide took the referee position "This will be the battle between the challenger
Erza Scarlett vs. gym leader Jura, the battle will be 3 vs. 3 and only the challenger it's allowed to switch pokémon, are both sides ready?"
As they both nodded to the referee he stated
"Let the battle begin!"
To be continued on the next chapter "the first gym leader"
