I guess apologizing for my constant tardiness is redundant at this stage.

I want to thank you all for bearing with me, and my crappish ability to upload good chapters. Now, for all times sake, here's another crappy one:

Chapter 36: Fairy Advice

Third Person

The Lost Boys returned to camp a few seconds after Mya left it.

"Pan." Felix called from outside his tree trunk, no daring to enter. From the looks of it, Mya had left quite angrily, and that usually meant Pan was in an unpleasant mood as well.

Peter appeared seconds later, his face unreadable.

"Let me guess." He gave the Lost Boy a condescending look. "You failed."

Felix gulped. This period of time wasn't in his favor. He had done nothing but disappoint Pan. "We couldn't find him."

"No matter." Peter waved it off. "I have the confirmation from Mya that they are in possession of the boy. I'll just pay the pirate a visit myself-" He was cut off by the loud arguing of two younger Lost Boys.

"I found it first!" One of them cried, pulling at something from the other boy.

"No! I did." The other yelled. They were tugging on some sort of string.

No. Not a string. A necklace.

Peter stormed towards them. "Give me that." He ordered.

The boys glanced at each other before one of them reluctantly handed him the necklace.

He felt the familiarity of the object as soon as his hand enclosed around it. It was the anchor he had carved for Mya.

He clenched his teeth. "Where did you find this?" He recalled Mya telling him she had lost it. He had told her he'd find it.

That was before her father had returned, and ruined everything.

He knew she would choose her father over him. Why should she choose 'him'? He could never be what she wanted him to be. He couldn't put her first. And she deserved someone better. Yet the thought of her with anyone else made his blood boil.

"It was on the ground." One of the boys answered.

"We just picked it up." The other added.

Pan nodded, barely listening.

It was time he kept his promise to Mya.

Mya's P.O.V

I stomped through the forest angrily. That bastard. I could ask for a castle made out entirely of chocolate and he would oblige. But I ask him to spare a kid's life and he says no? Really?

Urgh. He was so irritating. "Little dick-head, douche-bag, jerk-face, asshole-"

"Running out of insults?" I swung around to see Tinkerbelle smiling down at me. Why is everyone sneaking up on me lately?

I gave her a thin smile. "Not at all. I'm just getting started."

She grinned and shook her head. "What did he do this time?"

"The fact that there have been numerous times should explain the lot." I groaned. "I keep giving out chances and he keeps ruining them."

"Mya-" I didn't like how she had started that sentence, it meant a life lesson would follow. I was in no mood for life lessons.

"Don't 'Mya' me." I cut her off. "I'm done." I crossed my arms. "I wish you'd never have given me that pixie dust. I was better off not knowing."

Tink looked at me pitifully, as if I had done something worth of her pity. "You don't mean that."

"Um, yes. I do." I'm pretty sure I know what I mean. "It was false hope that he could somehow be redeemed. And it would have saved me a lot of useless effort."

"Will you at least tell me what he did?" She asked.

"I think it will take up less time to say the things that he didn't do." I replied sarcastically. Tinkerbelle gave me a look. "Okay, fine. He won't let Bae leave the island. And he won't even explain why!" I wined.

Tink frowned. "Who's Bae?"

"Baelfire. He's a kid we found in the sea." I shrugged, another completely normal occurrence in my completely absurd life.

"A Lost Boy?" She questioned.

"No! That's the point. He's the least lost boy in the land of Lost Boys." That made sense… "Ignoring the fact he got lost… Geographically…" I trailed off.

"Maybe Peter had his reasons." Why was she still trying to defend him?

I eyed her. "I'm starting to believe he brainwashed you."

She shook her head, smiling. "I just have faith in people. And yes, Pan can be…"

"A dick, a jerk, a douche?" I listed a couple adjectives for her.

She nodded. "But you've come far. You can change him, I believe you can."

"I could agree with you." I shrugged. "But then we'd both be wrong."

"So what? You're just giving up?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Wha-" I was left dumbfound. "I'd rather look at it as avoiding to waste precious effort." I wasn't the kind of person that just gave up. But wasting effort was something a lazy individual like me just couldn't afford.

"Call it what you want. But that's what you're doing." Tink scolded.

"So what if I am?" I exclaimed. "If he can't even do one little favour for me, how can he ever turn good?"

"You have to give it time." She explained. "And to be honest here, you have plenty of that."

"Yeah. Thanks to him." I spat, scowling.

"I know it may not seem like it, but you are making progress." I shook my head but she continued. "You can save him. And you will."

I glanced up at her. "You know, as much as I disagree with what you're saying, you make a pretty good fairy."

Her smile quickly faded. "I'm not a fairy anymore, Mya."

I frowned. "Why not?"

"Apart from the fact I don't have magic?" She pointed out.

"You had the pixie dust you gave me. You managed to make it work." I recalled.

"That pixie dust isn't mine. And I can only make it work because I still believe. In Neverland, that's all you need."

"Well why don't you have your own magic?" I asked, realizing I had no idea how Tink lost her magic, or why she even came to Neverland.

She sighed, hesitant to explain. "Remember that story I told you? About the woman?" I nodded. "Well, the fairies didn't approve of my decision to give her pixie dust. They banned me from being one of them and took away my magic." Those bitches…

"But you were only trying to help." I defended her.

"They didn't see it that way." She looked down. "But it doesn't matter now." She glanced up at me. "What matters is that you can do what I didn't. I couldn't save that woman from herself, but you can save Peter."

…And that's how Tink subtly turns everything back onto you. Great.

"You know that's a lot of pressure you're placing on me right now." I stated, placing my hands on my hips.

"Would it be better if I added 'no pressure'?" She offered.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Oh, yeah, that's going to change everything."

She laughed, and I joined her. "You should go back to your father, he's probably worried about you."

"As always." I sighed.

"He wouldn't be if you stopped getting into trouble."

"Well I wouldn't be getting into trouble if you'd stop pressuring me to be with Peter." Check mate. "And I wonder how my father would feel if he knew you were pushing me to him." I taunted.

"…Maybe it's better to keep it between us."

"Mmhmm."

A long walk and dinghy ride later, I was back on the Jolly Roger. But I wasn't the only new arrival there.

Well Tink's back. The necklace is back. And whoops no Peter/Mya scenes in this chapter, but don't worry. There will be in the next. (whenever that may be...)

I was also thinking of making a trailer for this fanfiction on my vidding channel ( user/MysticFallsCreations) if you're interested :) but I'm not sure, let me know if you'd want to see it.

178 REVIEWS YOU GUYS I LOVE YOU. *-*

also, I'm planning on re-reading the entire fanfiction all over again just to make sure I haven't forgotten any details. If you noticed something I mentioned but never continued explaining or anticipated something to happen which never happened PLEASE LET ME KNOW. it's quite possible I'm still waiting for the right moment to write it but I just want to make sure. (this is mainly directed to new readers who have started reading this ff only recently and still remember things lol) IT WOULD BE SUPER HELPFUL! thanks :)
