43. The Teachers

She's not supposed to look
at the teacher behind the veil.

He's evil.

So they say

But she doesn't see how
they can judge so quick.

Her family should know better,
she thinks,
and they said nothing when she'd told his name.

So he's not evil.

He's only said to be evil
and that's such a sad thing.

So sad.

She doesn't agree to it

So she looks behind the veil,
at that handsome face
wrapped in darkness so

And she's struck by the maternal desire
that slumbers within
to kiss those pains away…

Yes, she was just a child
and he a man,
but as they stood, she had as much power
as he.
