Hinata started to that Sumino and Teru were spending a lot of time together, and it bothered him a lot. He had absolutely no intention of letting his best friend steal his girlfriend away from him. He was determined to keep that from ever happening. He would keep Sumino by his side all day if it meant that she wouldn't be around Teru. He knew that he was going out with her this weekend and he knew that it would help fix their relationship. Hinata honestly felt bad for the way things turned out between them and he wanted to fix it by any means possible.

He saw Sumino and Teru walking to class together and he immediately felt the anger flare in his chest. The dark haired teen sped up to catch up with the two. He then slipped in between her and Teru, shoving the blonde further away from his girlfriend. He grabbed Sumino's hand and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, smiling smugly when Teru looked away angrily.

"H-Hinata," Sumino stuttered in embarrassment, "we're in school, it's inappropriate to act like that."

He simply smiled at her response. "It's fine, it was only a little kiss on the cheek."

Sumino's cheeked flushed furiously "I guess that's true."

Hinata guided Sumino by their joined hands to her class, leaving Teru behind.

Teru smiled sadly, he was happy that Hinata seemed to be paying attention to Sumino again, yet at the same time he was depressed because he knew it meant their closeness would slowly diminish until things were back to the way they used to be.

As soon as the couple got to her class, Hinata quickly hugged her goodbye before heading off to his own class.

Sumino walked back to her desk and plopped down. She stared dreamily out the window thinking about what had happened. She smiled to herself, happy that Hinata was interested in their relationship again.

She turned back to the classroom just in time to see the girls crowd around Teru as he entered the room. Sumino was still awestruck at how popular Teru and Hinata really were.

Her mind then drifted back to what had happened that weekend. The whole thing seemed so silly to her now. She had Hinata, there was no need for her to want a romantic relationship with Teru at all.

Even though that's what she thought, she still found herself glancing at him throughout the entire class period. There was something about his extremely bored expression that she found really cute.

Without even realizing that she had totally slipped into a daze thinking about Teru, the lunch bell rang shrilly, causing her to jump slightly.

Lately, Teru had been going up to the roof to eat lunch in peace with Sumino. However today, he made no move to leave the classroom and instead stayed to talk to his many friends surrounding him.

Sumino watched him carefully as he laughed at some joke his friend said. She was thinking about how cute he looked when he laughed when Hinata stepped into her view.

"Hello Sumino," He greeted with a friendly smile, "How about you come eat lunch with me in the student council room? It would be a good chance for us to talk."

Sumino thought it sounded like a great idea, it would be a good chance for the two to start fixing their broken relationship.

Sumino nodded and stood up, and Hinata grabbed her hand again much like he had that morning. The two of them then walked hand and hand down to the student council room. A pair of pained golden eyes followed them out of the classroom.

As soon as lunch was over Sumino headed back to her classroom. Unfortunately for her, she got there just in time to hear something she didn't want to hear.

A truly beautiful brunette was sitting next to Teru. She leaned in closer to him with a big smile on her face.

"So Teru, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out after school today? Just the two of us," She asked still smiling, "It could be like a date if you want."

Teru looked at the girl and smiled. Thinking it would be a good way to get over Sumino he replied, "That sounds like a lot of fun, I would love to go out."

Sumino froze in shock, she felt this funny feeling right in her chest. She wasn't quite sure why, but it felt like her heart had been crushed by that one sentence.

Why does he want to go on a date with her? She thought to herself blinking back the salty tears welling in her eyes.

She calmly walked over to her desk, refusing to look over at Teru and the girl. Sumino turned her head to look out the window, still too upset to look at Teru. She then thought about how it wasn't really fair what she was doing to him. Sumino had Hinata, she couldn't expect Teru not to want someone and stay single forever.

When the day ended, she bitterly watched as Teru and the brunette walked out together laughing and holding hands. Hinata had asked her earlier to stay after with him for a little bit, so she waited for him to come and get her.

When he came, they left immediately for the student council room. The whole walk down there she stared at the ground wishing she was with Teru instead of that stupid brunette.

When they got to the room, Sumino grabbed a seat by Hinata's desk and silently watched him work. She saw his mouth moving, but she just couldn't convince herself to listen to him. Her mind was to preoccupied by Teru and that brunette and what they were doing right now.

When he finally finished his work, he asked if she wanted to grab a quick bite to eat downtown. Sumino nodded mutely, still upset about Teru. She finally shook herself from her depressed state. Hinata wanted to go out with her, she should be ecstatic. Finally happy to be with Hinata, she smiled as they left they school together.

Sumino soon realized that going out was just another bad idea. She immediately regretting going out once she caught a glimpse of Teru and his date together. They were together in a small park like area in the city. It looked like they were just talking casually, but they wouldn't be doing that for much longer.

She watched as the brunette wrapped her arms around Teru's neck and pulled him into a kiss. Sumino expected Teru to pull away from the girl, but instead he wrapped his arms around the girl's waist, pulling her closer and kissing her back.

Teru kissed the girl back, desperately hoping it would make him forget about Sumino, yet all he could think about was her hair, her eyes, her fair skin... He couldn't focus on the girl kissing him, just Sumino. For nearly half the kiss, he caught himself pretending the brunette was Sumino.

Sumino gripped her chest where she could feel the burning coming from. It felt like Teru had torn out her heart, shattered it in the streets and laughed as it got broken over and over again by the passing cars. She wanted to look away, yet she couldn't tear herself from the scene that was breaking her heart.

This time there was no acting tough and blinking back the tears. Finally forcing herself to look away she immediately ran from Hinata.

She heard him calling after her but ignored him and continued running until she reached her house.

The young girl then ran straight to her room, where she dove harshly onto her bed smothering her face in her pillow. The first sob sounded so pathetic and watery, that the rest of them easily flowed from her body. Sobs wracked her body until she cried herself to sleep.

She awoke a few hours later still miserable. Sumino briefly thought about posting something on her blog to maybe get advice from MegaPig, but decided against it.

It was then, sitting against the headboard of her bed, that she realized that she had fallen for her friend. Tears burned the corners of her eyes and began to flow from her eyes as she realized she was too late, because Teru had already started seeing another girl.

She ended up pulling out her laptop and posted a status that read, "It seems I have fallen in love with one who shines like the moon, but the problem is I still love the sun."

She waited for someone to comment and wasn't all that happy when she saw BlackRabbit was the first to comment, "You need to make up your mind, it's not good to play with someone's feelings."

Sumino was taken aback by this, it wasn't like she was intentionally playing with his feelings.

She then saw MegaPig reply to BlackRabbit's comment, "I agree, you need to make a decision before you lose them both."

Sumino thought about it all night, but she loved them both. There was no way she could choose between them.

With that in mind, she shut down her laptop and silently cried herself to sleep.
