47. Brilliant Minds

They both had such brilliant minds.

It was a shame they hadn't been able to work together
more

But now she poured over his notes until the sun
abandoned her to the black moon still covered
in dregs of grey,

And she'd light her wand and continue on
into the night, wondering if his spirit was searching on
as well, searching for that answer:
the one that eluded them all

But he'd set the stage and she read on and on,
hoping she'd be able to finish his life's work: bring
that success to his name, that he so richly deserved

And all those poor suffers that would no longer hurt
under their work, as well.
