I don't own Divergent.

Hey, guys. So this update is more timely...

I'm seeing only two, maybe three more chapters in this fic, but I might, as I've hinted, add some stuff you like. Currently I'm deciding between adding more to either Thank You or Payback OR putting up something you guys haven't seen yet, which would be a post-war AU in which Tris survives. I'd like you guys to tell me what you'd like! Let me know in the reviews, please.

Enjoy this update!

Rob lets his breath out slowly. "Well, that's good, I guess." He stands and offers me a hand. "Uri and I made dinner, and AJ's in bed. C'mon."

I smile and hug him. "Thanks, Rob." I sigh. I hope it gets easier from here on out.

JD starts to cry...again. What the hell are Tobias and AJ doing with him? I put the broom against the wall.

First he lets AJ and JD play with flour. Then he doesn't clean it up. Now he's teasing the sick two year old? Why do I let him be alone with the boys?

I storm down the stairs and pick JD up, rubbing his back until he stops crying. AJ gives me a sheepish grin. Tobias shrugs.

I shake my head and walk over to him. "Tobias Eaton..." I turn around and hand JD to AJ. "AJ, take your brother into the living room and play a game with him. I need to talk to your dad. And I swear to god, AJ, if you do something that makes him cry...te azotaré. Te azotaré muchas veces, y después te castigaré de otros métodos."

AJ winces. "Sí, Mamá. No lo hare."

"¡Mamá!" JD wails. "¡AJ me estaba molestando!"

"Yo sé, JD. AJ ya no te va a molestar. Juega algo con tu hermano." I rub my temples.

AJ, glancing back at Tobias and I with a worried look on his face, takes JD into the living room. I grab Tobias by the sleeve and push him into the bed in our room.

"I -" Tobias starts, hands up.

"Tobias, I worked a ten-hour shift at the hospital and came home to a huge mess. Then I ask you to watch the boys for another half hour so I can clean it up. And your 'entertainment' is teasing JD until he cries. I need you to help me out," I say, cutting him off. "It's not that much to ask."

"Tris, you leave the boys with me almost every day now! I didn't sign up to be a stay-at-home dad!" Tobias stands up. "I'm sorry if your day was stressful. I'm sorry we made it more stressful. We weren't trying to. But I don't think it's fair to blame this all on me."

I laugh. "You think you're a stay-at-home dad? Tobias, during the season, I juggle two kids, training with you, and fucking med school, which now means ten to fourteen hour shifts every day. I understand that you're still learning how to deal with the boys. I'm fine with that. I just need you to try a little bit harder." I sigh and step closer to him, wrapping my arms around his waist. "I also..." I trail off, deciding it's the wrong time to tell him. He's already frustrated with just two. "It was just a bad day," I mumble, pressing my face into his chest.

He sighs, too, and rubs my back. "What happened?"

"I'll tell you after the boys are in bed," I reply. "Sorry for yelling at you."

"Sorry for putting stress on you," he retorts. "Do you want to watch the boys while I clean up?"

I stand on my tiptoes and kiss him. "Sure." I release him.

"Wait - what were you guys saying earlier downstairs? I understood some of it, but...not all of it." Tobias grins sheepishly at me.

"I told AJ I would whip him and then punish him in other ways if he teased JD," I reply. "And then AJ said he wouldn't, and JD complained about how AJ was being bad. I said he wouldn't be anymore." I grimace. "It sounded better in Spanish..."

Tobias chuckles. "So you threaten even in Spanish."

I nod. "Si tú quieres que yo hable en español, entonces hablaré en español." He just stares at me and I laugh. "I'm going to go watch the boys now." I walk downstairs and lean on the doorway, watching AJ and JD play a board game, although it's mostly AJ playing for both of them.

AJ looks up. "Mom, can you take him now so I can play Xbox?"

"Bud, did you even ask if you could play?" I reply, picking JD up. He begins to squirm and fight me.

"Sorry, Mom. Can I? I'll play Minecraft," he says.

"Isn't Susan picking you up in twenty minutes for hockey practice?" I reply.

He shrugs. "Yeah, so?"

"So you need to eat now, and you need to be ready in fifteen minutes. Come to the kitchen. I'm going to make you a sandwich. And have you started your homework?" I say, carrying JD still.

"Yeah," he says. "But I only have a little bit."

"Good, because you're going to bed at seven thirty tonight," I respond, buckling JD into his high chair and giving him a toy.

"That's when the baby goes to bed!" he whines.

I raise my eyebrows. "Your dad and I agreed that that's your punishment for the flour mess. And JD is going to bed at seven tonight, because he's sick." I hand AJ his sandwich and pour him a glass of almond milk. I put a little chicken noodle soup into the microwave for JD.

"What did we agree on?" Tobias asks, popping his head in.

"That AJ is going to bed at seven thirty tonight," I say, giving him a meaningful look.

"Oh, um, yeah," Tobias says. "AJ, listen to your mom." He leaves the kitchen, probably heading towards the laundry room.

AJ stuffs his sandwich into his mouth and gulps down his almond milk. "Fine," he says, glaring. Then he stomps up to his room.

"Mamá, ¿por qué está AJ enojado?" JD asks.

"Porque él tiene que dormirse más temprano anoche," I reply, kissing his head. "¿Cómo estás, JD? Te duele la cabeza o el estómago?"

"Sí, me duele la cabeza y el estómago." JD yawns.

"Hey, guys," Tobias says. "How you doing, buddy?"

"My tummy hurts," he whines.

"I'm making you some chicken soup, and then you can go nap." I look away Tobias. "Babe, can you make sure AJ gets ready for hockey? Susan is picking him up for practice in ten minutes."

"Of course," he says, kissing my cheek and leaving.

I take JD's soup out of the microwave and grab a spoon, taking a small bite myself to test the heat before giving him a bite.

He dutifully swallows a few bites before pushing the spoon away. "I don't want any more, Mamá."

"A few more bites, baby," I coax, pushing another in his mouth.

He sighs and eats a few more. Then he pushes the bowl off the high chair. "I'm done."

"JD, you can't just push your food off," I tell him firmly. "When you're done, tell me."

I clean the soup up and pick JD up, rubbing his back. I walk up to his room and rid him of everything but his diaper, which I change and then duct tape. I lay him in his crib and turn the sound machine on, closing the door as I walk out.

The door downstairs shuts. I peek over the railing and Tobias looks up. "AJ's with Susan." He takes the stairs two at a time. "How about you take a bath and nap maybe, and I'll make dinner?"

"I have reading," I protest weakly, allowing him to pick me up.

He carries me to our bathroom, sitting on the edge of the bathtub, and begins to fill it. "You can read tonight."

"What if JD wakes up?"

"He never wakes up from his naps, even when he's sick." Tobias adds soap and a little essential oil to the flowing water.

"What if AJ's practice is canceled?"

"Susan is having him for dinner," Tobias replies, beginning to undress me.

I sigh. "Only if you come in, too."

He pulls his shirt off. "I think that sounds okay."

He sets me in the bathtub and finishes undressing himself. He steps in after me and pulls me to rest on his lap.

"Will you massage my shoulders?" I ask, cuddling closer.

He presses a kiss to the back of my neck. "Of course." Tobias begins to massage my shoulders, and I sigh.

"That feels wonderful," I murmur. "This was a good idea."

"Of course it is," he replies, pushing me forward slightly so he can continue down my back. "You feeling better?" he asks.

I lay my head back on Tobias's shoulder. "Keep massaging," I say, turning my head and pressing a kiss to his shoulder.

Tobias chuckles and turns me over, not stopping the massage. "Tell me about your day," he encourages.

I look up. "Well, I found something out today..." I begin, kissing his cheek.

"What?" he asks, hands moving down to cup my rear.

"I think we're going to need to buy another crib," I say, grinning and watching his face.

"Oh...oh my God!" He kisses me. "You're pregnant?"

I nod. "Boy or girl?"

"Both," he replies, putting a hand between us to rest on my stomach.

"You think it's twins?" I ask, kissing him again.

"I hope," he replies. He stands up in the bath and grabs the shampoo and conditioner. Then he sits back down and begins to rub the shampoo in.

"I think it's a girl," I say.

"A girl would be nice," Tobias admits. "But I love the boys, too."

"We'll see," I say.

He takes a cup we use to wash the shampoo out of JD's hair and and begins to rinse my hair out. Then he rubs conditioner in, making me sigh again and run a hand into his hair.

Tobias rinses my hair again and begins to wash himself. I watch idly, breathing in the sweet-smelling air.

"Enjoying the view?" he teases, kissing my cheek.

"Very much," I reply, pinching his inner thigh.

He squirms away and stands, reaching over and grabbing a razor.

I kiss him and the razor makes its way to the ground.

"Bathtub sex is the best," Tobias decides.

I chuckle. "Why?"

"It just feels different," he replies.

I chuckle. "I'm glad you feel that way, babes." I sigh and pull the plug of the drain. "We should switch the water."

Tobias nods and lays back. "Mmkay."

"MOM! DAD! ¡ESTOY EN CASA!" AJ yells.

I walk into the entry hall and smack his arm lightly. "AJ! JD is asleep."

"Sor-ry." He rolls his eyes. "Can I have a glass of milk?"

"Go brush your teeth and put your jammies on," I order. "I'll have your dad bring you one."

"But Mom -"

"It's seven fifteen. Go on. Get upstairs." I shoo him and pour a glass of almond milk. "Tobes?"

He appears in the doorway. "What's up, Tris?"

"Go tuck your son in," I tell him, handing him the glass of milk.

He kisses my cheek. "Yes, ma'am."

I grin. "I like that. Make your sons do that, too."

Tobias chuckles. "It's too late for AJ, but we can try with JD."

"I don't think eleven is too late," I say, putting a hand just under his shirt to rest on his hip. I kiss his cheek and he sets the milk on the counter, getting onto his knees.

He lifts my shirt and presses kisses to my belly, even the scar from where AJ was taken out of my nineteen year-old body.

I smile down at my husband. "I love you."

"I love you, too." He looks up at the ceiling. "And you, boys." He kisses my belly. "And you, babies."

I thread my hands into his hair. "Do twins run in your family?"

He nods and stands back up, leaning on the counter beside me. "You know, I was thinking we could visit Robyn and Sierra," he says.

"When?"

"Christmas." He kisses my cheek. "They've invited us for a few years, and we went to Chicago last year."

"Don't worry, I was going to agree." I kiss his cheek. "Go tuck AJ in, and then we can talk more."

"Hey, babe, I'm going to the gym," Tobias says, grabbing his keys off the counter.

"Not unless you plan on taking the boys," I say, grabbing mine and gesturing to my scrubs. "I have a shift. Sorry, babe."

He sighs and scrunches his eyebrows. "I need to train."

"Find a babysitter," I advise. Then my phone starts ringing. "Hello?"

"Beatrice Prior Eaton?"

"You're speaking to her. How may I help you? Who's speaking, please?" I frown at Tobias.

"We may have found you a foster child," the voice on the other end says. "Oh, it's Laura, by the way."

"I figured it out," I say, grinning at Tobias and kissing his cheek. "They found us a foster kid."

He grins and hugs me, twirling me around. "How old? When do we get them? Boy or girl?"

I chuckle. "Hang on, baby." I put the phone back to my mouth. "Tell me about them."

"Well, because you mentioned an interest in LGBTQIAPP+ teens that got kicked out, we found you a fourteen year old bisexual girl," Laura, our social worker, says. "There's just one thing."

"Which is?" I grab Tobias' hand, grinning at him. "We'd love to take her."

"Well, she has a sister, and she's refusing to go anywhere without her sister. I know you two only wanted one foster child, but -"

"We'll take them," I say. "When?"

Tobias grins and kisses my cheek. "Two?"

I nod. "Sisters," I mouth.

"Well, if it's not too quick, we'd like to get them to you tomorrow."

"No, that's entirely fine. We'll be ready for them." I wrap an arm around Tobias. "Thanks, Laura."

"No, thank you two." Some papers are shuffled in the background. "See you tomorrow."

"Wait - Laura," I say. "We were planning on going to Seattle for Christmas."

"And you don't want to take them?" Laura sounds defeated now.

"No - no! I just wanted to make sure we could take them," I say, laughing lightly.

"Oh, of course. You'll have to pay for their travel, of course, but we'll supply you with their passports and everything else." Laura chuckles. "Thanks, Tris. See you tomorrow."

"See you," I reply. I hang up and throw my arms around Tobias. "Two girls," I say. "A bisexual fourteen-year-old and her sister."

Tobias hugs me back. "I'm so happy."

"Can you make sure there are two rooms ready for them?" I put a hand on his cheek. "Just make sure their are sheets on the beds and drawers and stuff."

Tobias nods. "I'm so excited," he says. "My family is growing steadily." He kisses my belly. "Love you."

"Love you, too." I grab my keys. "Boy, am I glad tomorrow is a Saturday and I have the day off," I mutter, waving goodbye and heading for the hospital.

"MOM!" AJ roars.

I walk up the stairs into his room, where Tobias leans against his doorframe. "What's up, Aje?"

"Dad said we're getting new kids tomorrow," he says, crossing his arms at his desk. "Are we?"

"Yes, AJ," I say, letting Tobias put his arm around me. "We're getting foster kids."

"Where are they going to go to school?" he asks. "It's the middle of the year."

I sigh with relief. "A high school around here," I reply.

"Why didn't you tell me until now?" he asks, putting his pencil down.

"We only found out this morning," I admit. "And then I had to go to the hospital."

He sighs. "Okay. What are their names?"

"Alejandra and Rosaria," I reply. "Rosaria likes boys and girls," I say also, sitting on his bed. "Like she likes to date both of them. It's called bisexual."

AJ nods. "I know." He stares straight at me and announces, "I like boys."

I smile at him. "Only boys? As in, you only want to date boys."

He considers. "I think so."

"Okay, Aje. I love you." I stand up and kiss his head. "We get to meet them first thing tomorrow."

"G'night, Mom. G'night, Dad," AJ says, closing the door behind us.

Tobias raises his eyebrows at me. "He's eleven."

"We still have to respect whatever he says. If he realizes he likes girls, too, or only girls, or neither, or that he was right at eleven, then all of that is great. But, right now, he says he likes guys, so he likes guys." I kiss Tobias' cheek. "And I will love my apparently gay son."

"I love him too," Tobias says. "It's just - he's young."

"He is," I agree.
