She knew Harry didn't like it much
or her: of who she'd been
but there wasn't much other choice.
She grew on him after a while it seemed
and it helped her case
that Teddy wouldn't leave her be
So she looked out for him
as he grew, wrote letters like a friend
when he went to school, encouraged him
when he got in trouble for little pranks
to which his family pretended to frown
And they couldn't mind, too much, in the end
when Teddy came over to her instead of them,
who'd cry in her lap, ask for her advice
and give her flowers every year
Though she was sure they did, and she minded to,
but one look into that adorable face
and she'd forget all over again.
