A/N: Sorry for the slow update... I had a perfect idea all planned out and then everything went blank. I couldn't remember anything that I wanted to write! I'm still not completely satisfied but this'll have to do. Hope you enjoy this chapter and don't hate me too much!

Sorry for any spelling mistakes and all that!

Hermione sat at her designated table, her chin in her palm, tapping her fingers on the white lace covered table. She watched as Jacob talked with Bella, the groom watching from afar, obviously listening in to the conversation. Hermione started staring at Edward, studying him as he glared because of something he heard Jacob think. The brunette witch took a sip of her champagne, Edward feeling the pull of her stare, frowned as his gaze met hers. Hermione smiled, placing her glass carefully down on the table. She stood and walked towards him, tapping the sister he was dancing with on the shoulder.

"May I interrupt?"

Rose shrugged and walked away. As the pair danced Hermione thought carefully on what to say to Edward.

"Quite the day, wasn't it?" she said lamely, with a small smile.

Edward nodded distractedly, his attention back onto the couple dancing not far from them.

"Where will you be going for your honeymoon?"

"A small private island that my father bought for Esme," he replied, only briefly glancing her way.

"Well, that'll be quite the experience," Hermione said, quite curious about how the pair would work it out, what with Edward being a vampire and Bella being a surprisingly very weak and frail girl.

Edward hummed, obviously not listening to a word she was saying, so she gave up trying to make small talk and for the second time that evening her eyes met with another's, this time black ones instead of golden ones. In a far corner of the tent stood three inhumanly beautiful men. One she recognized as Aro and the other two, most likely his Guard. Aro grinned when he noticed her examining him across the room, recognition flashing through his eyes as well.

It was Aro's turn to interrupt Edward, asking for the pleasure to dance with his partner. Edward looked at Hermione worriedly, why would Aro want to dance with a human? Was she in danger? However, he agreed reluctantly and stepped away slowly.

"Miss Granger, it's a pleasure to meet you. I've heard so much about you and your two friends."

"Really? From who?"

"Certain vampires who are most interested in your world have relayed stories of the wonders the Golden Trio has accomplished. I must say, it's an honor to meet you three, though I find myself most fascinated about you. You would make a wonderful guard."

"Forgive me, but I rather like breathing," Hermione stated, with a smile.

He chuckled. "Quite understandable I assure you, but should you ever change your mind, you know where to find my brothers and I."

Hermione nodded, glancing around the room, noticing all the Cullens watching her interaction with Aro, unable to hear the conversation over the music. "So you are not against this union?" She wondered, curiously.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because if you were, you would not be here."

"Right you are," he agreed, an excited smile gracing his features. "I rather like you Miss Granger and I believe my borthers would too."

"Indeed?"

"Indeed," Aro repeated. "So I shall let you in on a little secret." He leaned in close, his breath brushing against her ear. "I am here to ensure that the Cullens keep their promise. Miss Swan is to leave here human, but to come back a vampire."

The music stopped and Hermione pulled away from him quite suddenly, eyes widdening. Of course, she should have been expecting it but in her opinion, Bella was not vampire material.

"You seem surprised, my dear, surely you knew it would happen?" He said, a wicked smile on his face.

Hermione's gaze was drawn to Bella, ignoring the fact that all seven Cullens had tensed at her sudden reaction. "I thought it was against the law to turn a human?" She murmured so only he could hear her.

"Yes well, it's also against the law to tell a human that vampires exist, but the Cullens did so despite the law. Turning Bella is their only way of being pardonned by the Volturi."

"Why would you want her as a vampire?"

Aro laughed at her tone. "She is quite a lame human isn't she and yet, once a vampire, the power she already possess' will become stronger, she will be a very impressive sheild."

Hermione bit her lower lip. "So you don't plan on attacking the Cullens once she is turned?"

"Far from it, I have been waiting for this moment for three years."

"Rumours in the Wizarding World suggest you are gathering an army. Why then, if not to attack them?"

"Only to remind them what will happen should they not turn her," Aro stated darkly.

Hermione nodded and after a brief, discreet curtsy, went back to her friends.

"You guys have to hear what Aro just told me!"

"What?" They questioned, moving from their seats just as Ginny twirled up to them.

"You dance sublimely, Ginny," Emmett said.

Ginny giggled. "Thank you, you weren't terrible either," she joked, knowing that as a vampire he was far better than any professional dancer.

"Bloody hell Hermione! Have you seen the time?" Ron exclaimed loudly.

Hermione took a look at his wrist watch and gasped. "Our guests were expecting us back an hour ago!"

"The reception was wonderful, we're sorry we couldn't stay any longer, but we really must be going," Harry apologized.

Ginny gathered her purse in her arms and hurried away with Harry and Ron, leaving Hermione to glance back and share a guilty look with Jacob, noticing the extremely suspicious looks she was receiving from the vampire family.

"Alright, we didn't get enough time to talk before we went to the wedding but we need explanations and we need them now," Harry demanded, standing arms crossed before the pair sitting on the couch. "How did you know we were here?"

The black haired woman laughed mockingly. "Honestly Potter, by now you should know that Malfoy is not the only one to have 'friends'. I merely had to ask one person to find out where you four were hiding."

She noticed the slightly worried looks the foursome shared and waved a careless hand. "Don't worry, your little secret is safe with me."

"Then why are you here Parkinson?" Ginny asked, exasperated.

"I should think my reason for coming and traveling so far is obvious," when the four friends simply stood in silence, she sighed. "I came here for one reason and one reason only: HOW dare you send my boyfriend on such a dangerous mission!"

Ron snorted. "Please, all Malfoy's doing is sitting in his manor waiting for Blaise to come deliver information to him."

"Oh, I'm not here for Malfoy, he can take care of his own bloody arse, I'm here because of Blaise! Do you know what the Volturi will do to him if they discover he is trying to steal information?"

"Nothing good."

"That's right, nothing good. So what in your right minds were you thinking, you who go around like a group of Care Bears loving and saving everyone!"

"We're sorry Pansy but we had no other choice, we need that information."

"If he dies, I'll come back here and kill you all. His mother'll be only too happy to help. Let me warn you: she knows how kill and make it look like an accident."

Ron's gulp echoed throughout the living room, making Pansy smile in satisfaction. "Now that that's out of the way, have a nice stay here," she walked over to the fireplace and stepped inside. "While it lasts." With those words she dropped the floo powder and disappeared.

"Glad she's gone, her screeching was breaking my earbuds," Ron muttered, dropping onto the couch and closing his eyes.

"Sorry to interrupt Ron but we've still got one surprise guest to take care of," Hermione chuckled.

"Loony," he sighed, sitting up.

"So how did you find us?"

"Bicklebands are the best trackers, they guided me to you," she stated, looking out the window.

"Any particular reason for your visit?" Harry questioned, smiling at his good friend.

Luna's eyes widened to a point that they looked like they would pop out of their sockets. "Fred sends me, he thought you should know: Molly has gotten wind of your meddling."

"Everyone HIDE!" Ron yelled.

"That is a problem..." Hermione observed, bitting her lip.

"Oh, I'm so screwed!" Ginny moaned.

"When is Remus coming back?"

"As soon as he's better, surely sometime next week," Hermione said.

Luna had left after two days, promising to keep their location secret and to try and calm down the Weasley mother.

"Don't you find it odd that both Luna and Pansy showed up on our door step on the exact same day?" Ron questioned.

"Sure but when Slytherins and Ravenclaws are determined, they'll find ways to get whatever it is they want," Harry said.

"You know, despite all our laughing at the creatures Luna invents... You can't deny they're effective," Ginny observed.

"Are you saying that you believe in those crazy things she talks about?" Ron demanded, disbelievingly, causing Harry to chuckle.

"Not all, but if Bicklebands don't exist, how do you explain that she found us?" There was a moment of silence where Ginny crossed her arms and smirked. "Thought so."

"If we're done with this discussion, I think I'm going to stop by Jacob's place," Hermione informed them.

"Alright but don't expect us to be in tonight, Harry and I are going out to dinner and Ron wants to go see some random action movie," Ginny said, following her friend into the corridor.

"Not a problem, I know how to take care of myself."

"Do you have keys?" Ginny checked.

Hermione shrugged as she opened the front door. "I don't know, maybe?"

"How do you plan on getting in the house if you don't have them?" Ginny demanded.

"Alohamora!" Hermione called with a grin. "See you later mum!"

"You don't want to go out?"

"Let's just stay inside, where we won't be bothered," Hermione suggested.

"Why? We can do so much more going out than staying in."

Hermione looked out the window hesitantly. "I'd rather not, last time we went into town we crossed paths with someone I practically despise and a week ago, two people from my past showed up. I'd just like to be left alone tonight."

"Who are all these people? Look, I left it alone when that weird blond woman said you were the only thing worth writing an article about, I figured it wasn't any of my buisness, I thought you'd tell me when you were ready," he raked a frustrated hand through his short hair. "But now? Two people from England show up on your doorstep and disappear the next day, as if crossing the Atlantic is a daily occurence. Honestly? I wouldn't even question it, they want to spend hundereds of dollars just to see you for a day? Fine, it's not my problem, but the fact that you act like an easily startled dear once they leave is my concern. What are you so paranoid about?"

Hermione shuffled her feet and tugged on the sleeve of her arm. She had discovered a liking for long sleeved tops since taking off her gauze. "Who are you Hermione? We've been together for a few months and yet I feel like I hardly know anything about you. Why are you keeping so many secrets?"

She scoffed. "I'm not the only one with secrets, Jacob so please don't be a hypocrite and lecture me about me having mine." Jacob seemed confused by her words, but Hermione spoke again, preventing him from thinking about them, realizing she had come close to revealing she knew about his secret.

"You want to know what I'm hiding, what I'm not telling? Fine, just remember that I had my reasons for keeping it to myself." It was her turn to rake her hand through her hair, tugging roughly when one hand stayed stuck in a tight lock.

Jacob's eyes filled with a slightly apprehensive look because of what she said. "Hermione, if you don't want to tell me, you don't hav-"

"Oh no Jacob, you all but yelled at me to tell you so I will. I'm giving you what you want, don't try and escape now." She stopped pacing and turned to stare at him when she found where to start in the story, once again leaving out anything magic. "When I was eleven I received a letter, informing me of a wonderful boarding school. A teacher came to my house to explain the peculiarities of this school, telling us how selective it was and why it was so secretive."

Hermione chuckled. "I, of course, as a know-it-all was immediately in love with the idea of going to such a special school. I had to go and nothing would stop me. The teacher, she told about all the wonders I would accomplish if I went there, she informed me that I would fit in better since all the students there would be like me."

"Like you?" Jacob asked, lost.

"People who had the same talents I did," she answered vaguely. "So on the first day of school I showed up, excited by the possibilty of learning things I had never dreamed of," Hermione paused, breifly lost in her memories. "The idea of fitting in for once in my life- I can't explain the joy I felt at the prospect," she shook her head, sighing.

"Before I finally got to the school, I had day dreamed how I imagined it would be, it was my happily ever after. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. At first, it was practically perfect, I was learning so much and new information never stopped, even to this day. However, I wasn't fitting in as well as I had expected... From what the teacher had told me, I thought everyone would accept me warmly. That wasn't the case: I got bullied by students who had grown up knowing they would go to this school. They thought me inferior because I wasn't a legacy, my parents hadn't gone to this school. I was the first and in their eyes, I didn't belong."

"It took a number of weeks before I found my two best friends, Ron and Harry. They saved my life, I would most likely have died if not for them. From that moment I thought things would get better, I was finally fitting in like the teacher had said. Unfortunately, as the year came to an end, life became darker and darker, more and more dangerous. I had chosen the worst possible person to become friends with. Harry was targeted by a mass murdered, who was gaining followers by the day, however, he was one of my first friends and I would stand by him, no matter what."

"The years passed by and things went from bad to worse, still Ron, Harry and I stayed together, through thick and thin. Until, at the end of our sixth year we heard rumors of a way to destroy the gang leader who was after Harry's head, a way for him to be stopped so we ran away. Hoping that it would, at the same time, lead the mass murderer away from our school and protect our friends, while we set out to ruin him. In our absence he took over the school and suddenly we were caught by some of his men. I can barely remember how it happened. Luckily, we had disguised Harry since he was easily the most recognizable of the three and the main target."

"They brought us to a secret hide out of theirs to question us, we were lucky they didn't bring us straight the to 'big man' or we would have been dead. They searched us and when one of our kidnappers found something of hers in my bag, she threw the others into a cell and interrogated me privately," Hermione shuddered at the memory, rubbing her forarm. "I didn't tell you about it because I still have nightmares about that night. She's dead now but I was tortured for hours on end. You can't even begin to imagine the techniques of torture they had," Hermione choked on a sob, she had not planned on reliving all this tonight.

"I was barely conscious when Ron and Harry finally managed to escape, saving me once again. We had a few days of rest and then we were off again, this time heading back to our school to face the devil himself. Many people died that day, some who deserved it but many who didn't," she paused. "I hope you're satisfied now that you know. Was it exactly what you wanted to hear? Now you know all my dirty little secrets," she shoved her arm forward, giving him a full view of her scar. "That's the story of how I got this dreadful scar."

Hermione crumpled onto the couch and Jacob slid closer to her, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her onto his lap. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have pushed you to tell me."

"At least it's over now, it needed to be said," Hermione murmured, burrying herself into his warm chest and pressing her lips to his bare shoulder. They stayed in that position for almost an hour when Jacob decided to speak.

"You really are an amazing person, Hermione," Jacob whispered in her ear.

"And you really are a very warm person." Jacob chuckled.

He pushed her away slightly, one hand reached out to grasp her chin gently and turning her head so it faced him. He ran his thumb over her lips softly, his gaze only leaving her eyes when her tongue popped out of her mouth to moisten the path his thumb had just travelled. He began placing chaste kisses all over her face, making both of them grin, before he moved to her neck, moving his mouth up and down it. Finally he trapped her in a searing kiss that made her stomach flip as his tongue massaged her own. She shifted in his lap so that she could wrap her legs around his waist as he stood, placing his hands on her bottom, making sure she wouldn't fall off him. He walked to his bedroom, knowing the way by heart. He shut the door with a kick of his foot and sat on the edge of his bed. He leaned backwards so that he was lying on his back but quickly flipped them over so that Hermione was the one under him. His mouth moved from her's to her neck, nipping and sucking the whole way. Her legs were folded, her knees on either side of his hips, she felt him press his body closer to hers and grabbed his head that was moving lower and lower, dragging it back to her face, in order to kiss him once again while his hands explored her body.

"How long are we going to spend dwelling on this? It's been weeks!" Rose complained.

"This is a serious matter Rose, one we must not take lightly." Carlisle responded.

"I don't see why we're worrying ourselves about it! Whatever Aro told her is none of our concern, it doesn't endanger us. We did nothing wrong."

"Babe, you're looking at this from the wrong angle: we're not worried about what he told her, we're worried about why they were talking in the first place." Emmett explained.

"He's right," Alice interrupted. "Aro would never chat with a random human, which means, she's not random. Haven't you realised all the odd things that have been happening these last few months?"

"Four british freaks with an odd scent show up, attracting other british people with the same scent, so we can only conclude that it is the smell of all british people, and even two people who smell human, british, mutt and even vampire." Emmett stated, playfully.

"Not to mention that Edward can read none of their thoughts, unless we assume that it is the norm for the British population to create mental barriers, we can only accept the reality of the situation. We are facing a race of people we have never imagined."

"Supernatural?" Jasper wondered.

Carlisle nodded, gravely. "Most likely, but what?"

Before anyone could ask questions the house phone rang. Esme picked it the second the first ring ended. "Edward? I wasn't expecting to hear from you so soon." Esme claimed, surprised.

"You're on your way home? Already? But it's not even been a month!" Esme exclaimed.

She frowned due to something Edward said. "I don't understand what you mean, talk slowly, honey."

A hand flew to her mouth. "Oh my! No worries, we'll be ready for you both when you arrive." She hung up the phone and turned to her family that were watching her with a feeling of foreboding.

"What is it?"

"What's wrong?"

She raised her hands to silence them. "Bella's pregnant."

A sharp intake of breath. Silence. All Hell broke loose in the house.

A/N: I will try my best to update faster this time! I truly will! Hope you don't hate me!
