78. Baby Blanket
They'd both understood he'd had to leave her
but it hurt her all the same, drowned that happy time
they'd snuck together with pain.
She wrapped those times snug and tight
in her favourite baby blanket, nice and thick,
so they couldn't escape
and treasured them, held them close
and felt the warmth wrapped up tight
so they wouldn't fade and leave her all alone
But you couldn't stop memories
or time.
