83. Long Dead
They were dead, imprints of souls that refused to leave
the living world after their time had long since gone
but even the love they shared could shape and change
with the winds that passed by as time went on.
Her love for him grew deeper; his love for her waned
and waxed with the moon's sweet breaths
but once that between them passes on:
the ghost that had haunted them both
banished into eternity
She could confess her regret at last
and he could let go of the shackles
he'd drawn.
