AN: I own nothing

The bistro was filled to the brim with people. Tables were crammed with people, jostling for space, determined to consume their dishes in front of them without having to cram their elbows into their sides too much. Waiters weaved their way around the tables, contorting themselves in certain cases between chairs as they balanced the trays of food on one hand. Upon entry, the noise hits you like a wall with the clinking of glasses, the cutlery on pIates and the raucous laughter and yells from various customers. It was without a doubt a scene of complete and utter organised chaos.

Hermione turned to Ginny; ready to enquire about another place they could go to. She stopped herself, however, when she saw the wide grin on Ginny's face. Hermione paled wondering about what happened to a nice lunch out. This wasn't a nice lunch out at all, this resembled animals at a watering hole. Clearly, Hermione's dislike for the place showed as she heard Ginny let out a sigh.

"Come on, Hermione. It's not that bad I promise and we're going outside anyway. It is a lot more tame out there." All the tension that had been building up in Hermione since they entered the bistro washed away. It was still fairly busy outside but at least there was much more room to spread out. Hermione flashed her friend a grateful grin as the waiter grabbed a couple of menus and ushered them outside. They sat down at a table to the side of the al fresco area and ordered their food both going for a bottle of sparkling water and a salmon filet with asparagus.

Hermione hadn't felt this relaxed in days. She had missed hanging out with Ginny, before; her work had kept her so busy she rarely had time to meet with her. Now, she had all the time in the world to catch up and help with preparations for the baby. So far, the nursery had almost been finished. Ginny was currently pondering what clothes to buy as Harry and Ginny had decided to keep the baby's sex a surprise.

"Just keep it neutral Ginny. Surely there are clothes in other colours besides blue and pink!"

"I know, I know. But Mum has also been thrusting old baby clothes in my direction as well and whilst it is really kind of her to give them to me, I want the baby to have the best of everything and so, shouldn't it all be new?"

"What about a mix of both? Let's have a look through what your mum gave you and see what you like. The rest you can return to her and then you can buy a few really nice new pieces of clothing for the baby to give them a really solid wardrobe"

"Wow, Hermione! You almost sound like you know what you're talking about!"

Hermione giggled and took a sip of her water.

"Nah, not really. Just good at giving out advice and I can't actually put it any of it into practice in my own life."

"Well, I think the only advice I can give you is that it will get better. Just go with the flow. The worst thing that can happen has happened so now the only way is up." Ginny flashed Hermione a reassuring grin and the moment ended as the steaming plates of lunch arrived.

HEARTBROKEN RON TELLS ALL

Mr Ron Weasley sits across from me unable to hide the forlorn expression from his face.

So Ron, tell me how have you been since the ending of your relationship with Hermione Granger.

To be frank, I haven't been great; it is not easy to lose one of your best friends and the love of the life. I really hoped that she would have been supportive of me particularly following my recent loss of employment. Sadly, she clearly had other things on her mind.

Tears were streaming down his face as he thought back to his tragic breakup.

Why do you think she said no?

Well, I think she thought she was too good for me or something like that. She has always been really focussed on her career and never on us and I think that she wanted a husband who would be at her beck and call and would have dinner on the table when she came home. I just wanted a relationship of equals where we could be a team and that we would always support the each other when it came down to it. I'm just sorry I didn't realise what she was like before.

So, she was controlling?

Very much so. She never let me go anywhere without her and, in fact, at first there had been no marriage proposal. She persuaded me to propose to her when we were on a night out with Harry.

Was the proposal her idea?

Yes, it was. We'd had a big fight over the weekend and she demanded that I show her that I really wanted to be with her. If I wanted this relationship to last, I had to propose to her in the same way as in muggle films. And that's what I did, but she still broke up with me.

I'm very sorry that you had to go through that. Clearly she is not as caring as she likes to portray herself as.

Not at all. I know she pushed through "Dobby's bill" to demonstrate how 'caring' she was. She must have thought that by passing a bill in favour of the welfare of a magical species then people would appreciate her more. To be honest, I think she is a mixed up woman who just wanted attention. I am not going to pander to her any longer.

There is now a certain determination in Ron's eyes as he tries to move on from his abusive relationship with former girlfriend Hermione Granger. One thing is for certain; whoever captures Ron's heart next will be a very lucky woman as he clearly is an amazing, caring man.

Ginny and Hermione wandered along the street back to Hermione's flat. The warm sun rained down on them, creating a feeling of warmth and safety. All was right with the world. As they turned onto the street, they were met with a very angry looking witch.

The witch practically pulsed with anger and she brandished the latest copy of the Daily Prophet in her hand. Her wiry, blonde hair practically stood out on its ends as her eyes bore down on Hermione, oblivious to Ginny's presence.

"How could you, you bitch! What did he ever do to you? How could you treat him like that? I hope you get what's coming to you cause you deserve every bit of pain for making that man's life miserable."

The witch thrust the newspaper into Hermione's chest and landed one hard slap. Hermione could already feel a bruise developing on her face as the angry witch marched off, mumbling obscenities under breath. Then, as the witch disappeared from their sight, Hermione looked down at Rita Skeeter's front-page interview.

"I'm sorry Ginny, but I need to go home alone I need some alone time. I'm sorry."

Then, without listening to Ginny's response, Hermione ran back to her apartment, blissfully unaware of the tears steaming down her face.
