89. Out of Bloom
She'd seen a lot of people since
but her heart had already been locked away:
wilted by the past that could never return
and carrying its last petals through the present flow.
She'd tried, but it seemed she couldn't fall in love again:
once was all she'd had, and he was gone –
gone where he couldn't follow
and now she could only leave a trail
of broken hearts behind.
She'd had her once chance at true love
and he'd died; all that was left was to be the cold Queen
adrift in the illusionary winter wonderland,
trying to reach a passing soul
only to find her heart a frozen drop.
