93. Never Again
It had been petty jealousy that had let her to that step
but she saw how unbelievably cruel she'd been
too late
as she drowned in the soup of her own making,
the desire that she'd exploited
now wrapped like a strong scarf
around her neck
in summer's heat.
Her thoughts were all in chaos;
love? Indeed it wasn't so
but her little jealousy act had fallen through
and now she was only faint,
faint with that something in the air
that muddled her.
She wondered if she'd had
a little too much of that punch.
