HEY, PEOPLE! TO MAKE THIS QUICK, COLLEGE, JOB, SPORTS, ART WORK EQUALS INSANESS & LOSE OF SLEEP! BUT I'm GONNA DO BESIDES DOING IT? Trust me, I felt like a zombie yesterday, I needed to get early to do some errands and a job interview; I needed some sugar (I don't drink coffee) But I'm hanging up there. 6. The Past Coming Back To Me?

Juliet's POV
I felt cold and lifeless. I couldn't open my eyes and my hearing was a blur. I used all my strength to wake up but I couldn't. It was if like I was slowly dying right there. I can't die now, there's so many that I need to do and fix. Soon, I was starting to get my hearing and vision back, I peek at my surroundings, I heard paramedics shouting around me. I noticed that I was laid down on a gurney and had an oxygen mask on. I was fighting for my life and they were curing my wounds. I now remember of earlier. This was all of that bloody Mercutio's doing with his pirate posse. I hope he got arrested and rots in jail but sadly I don't bet on that much because if there is one thing mermaids know about pirates is that they were very sneaky and could escape any capture. And escaping authorities was their specialties.
My head hurt so much that I felt like fainting but I didn't care when I thought of someone much more important!
*Gasp*Gnomeo! Gnomeo! Where is he?"I panicked with a massive fear for my husband.
I was panicking so much that the paramedics had to hold me down so I wouldn't fall off the gurney or run away from my treatment. But I cared more for my husband's life than my own. I continue to call for him but nobody responded me. I laid back as my worst nightmare was coming true! I now remember what happened back there, just before the bomb could explode, he pushed away so I couldn't get hurt but he got left behind. I felt so crushed by the thought that he died to save me.
But before I could cry my heart out, soon another gurney parked next to me and I was smiled with relief and joy when I see my rescuer was ok and alive.

"Here I am, Redbrick. By your side." he says weak but smiling at me.
I reached over and grabbed his hand in mine. We held hands for a long time until we got rolled away into separate ambulances. I wanted him back, next to me, to never leave my side. But I could understand that he needed to be attended more than me.
Hours have passed since I've been taken to a hospital near Stratford. I think I was in London, I'm not quite sure but I was ok with that. I had a few bumps and bruises but was healthy as ever. My head and body were still sore from all the ropes fighting and the explosion but I regain my strength by my stubbornness, I guess. A nurse came to check on me and leaves to speak with the doctor. That´s when my parents came in, with worried faces.
"Juliet!" My mum cried, rushing to me with my Dad following behind and she then hugs me. Normally, I would hug her back but I still in shock with many questions on my mind and I just couldn't show any weakness even if it was my parents.
"Mum, please, let go. I'm in no mood right now" I said softly, trying to not be cruel.
Marina lets go "I understand you're still in shock but let us help you get thru this, dear"
"Well, you should have waited until I got back, so we can talk this out because I have a lot of questions"
"Sweetheart, please, don't talk no more. You need to rest" My Dad cuts in but that doesn't stop me from wanting to figure this out.
That's when Gnomeo comes in the room. Like me, he was bandaged in the head and hand his arm wrapped in bandages when he got shot but luckily, it wasn't so serious. I rush over to him and hug him as he hugs me back, letting out all those worried thought I had.
Then my mum interrupts us "Gnomeo, I don't know how to thank for everything you did for my daughter"
"You don't have to thank me, Mrs. Marina. What I did was for love for Juliet" Gnomeo grins, kissing my forehead.
"You really have guts, boy. Your parents would be proud of you" Lord Redbrick comments.
"Speaking of them, I should probably get back, my mum must me worried sick"
"Yeah, we should all go. I hate hospitals, they bring back bad memories and they smell like death to me"
They all nod and leave the hospital. When they arrived back at the gardens, Gnomeo's parents wouldn't let go of him, I could tell they were scared to death for him as mine were for me. Our friends were happy to see us again. I hug my daughter like there was no tomorrow, I was so scared I would never see her again. But just because I was back home, that doesn't mean I would put her in danger.
That night, after I put my Mimi to sleep, I laid still in my bed, lost in my thoughts. Mostly about my new powers. That explains why I have been staring at my hands for the last 2 hours, even Gnomeo asked why when he came to check on me.
"You know, that's really starting to drive me insane" he comments.
I let out a small chuckle "Why? I'm the only staring at them" I say, sitting up on the bed as he sat beside me.
"I do it too but not like how you're doing it" He flirts, making me blush "So, care to tell me why the interest in your hands?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you"
"Jules, I'm married to a mermaid and you still doubt of me?"
"Point taken but still because I'm not even sure if I understand it"
"Still confused. Come on, tell me"
But instead of just telling him, I gave him my hand "Here. Feel it"
He was confused but did it anyway and took my hand in his, feeling it for while. "I don't see what's wrong with it but I think..." he stops talking and jumps in pain when he felt heat and pain on his hand.
"Hot, right?"
"Ok, 1. OW, THAT'S HOT! & 2. HOW!?" He shouts, still feeling the heat. But Juliet uses her water bending powers to splash some cool water on his hand, hearing a HIZZ sound until he couldn't feel the pain anymore.
"Same thing I have been wondering too since I got them. You know that burned side on Mercutio's face?" she asks.
"I saw it" he says with a slightly angry frown by the mention of that pirate's name.
"I did that to him"
"Normally, I would question you but seeing that you're tougher than before, I'm impressed you have that ability"
"You're missing the point, Gnomeo. I got these new powers to burn, that's dangerous!"
"Maybe you should get an expert to look at this" he advises and she nods.
If there was someone who can explain this to her, was one who gave her these powers in the first place. And if she's developing new powers, she had the answer. A Few minutes have passed as Juliet made her way to the Red garden. She continue to walk around while saying a few hellos to her friends. Soon she saw her by the pond.
Juliet notices the sad expression he mother's face, she looks sad and depressed as she plays around with the water. Marina loved her family with all her heart but a part of her was missing her life as a mythical creature from the seas. But Juliet couldn't blame her because she missed being free in the ocean, to swim with the sea creatures and exploring the mysteries of the sea. Her favourite times were when she was a small mer-kid, exploring the sunken pirates. Now she was having different ideas about pirates.
"Mum?" Juliet says, softly, coming up to her.
"Oh, Juliet, love. How you feeling?" Marina says, getting up to hug her.
"Mum, I need to talk to you about something that happened today"
"Sure, what happen, my girl?"
"Well, when Mercutio was holding on to me, I kind of burn him with fire. I burn the side of his face and left a huge mark on it. It was scary and shocking and confusing at the same time. That's why I came straight to you. Why did you think that happened?"
Marian stays silent for a moment, perfectly knowing what going on with her daughter but didn't know if she was ready to tell her. It could be very risky since Juliet was still young to handle that kind of magic. She tried distracting her by nursing her to health.
"My child, you need rest" Marina tries to sit her down, trying to change the subject.
But Juliet refuses "I'm fine, mum. and I asked you a question. Are you hiding something from me?"
"Juliet, please rest down, you need to save your strength" Her mum walks away and then returns "Drink this" she hands her a glass with medicine.
"What is it?" Juliet asks, looking down at the clear drink.
"It will help you recover faster just drink" the older mermaid says and Juliet drinks it all.
"Taste like seawater" she wasn't disgusted by the taste since she lives by it but it was still unusual that the medicine tasted like that.
"Its good for you to drink but still conserver your energy"
"Oh mum I felt so helpless when those pirates had me"
"You were strong just as I taught you"
"They tried to get me to talk and stole my pearls. But that's not even the worst part" She cried.
Her mum brushed back her hair "You don't have to talk about that now if you don't want to. The important this is that you're safe and you didn't crack to you sacrificed for all Mermaid kind and I couldn't be more proud as a mother" They hug.
"I know and thanks, mum but that still doesn't answer all my questions"
"Jules, maybe it's time. I knew this day was coming but hopefully it would come when I was sea foam but I don't think I'm the right person to tell you"
"Why not, mum? What are you hiding?"
"I'm not hiding anything, love. I just don't know that I'm the right person to tell you. maybe somebody more experience than I am"
"What do you mean, mum?"
"Maybe this can help. This came in the mail for you" Marina hands her a letter addressed to her.
-Dear Juliet
It's been a long time but I have return to my roots here in England and wish to see you once more. I know you might have questions as to who I am but all will be explained if you meet me at the beach at Sunset this evening. I've really missed you, child. I'm really looking forward to seeing you after so long"
"Who's it from?" Her mum asked
"I don't know but whoever it is must know me and wants to meet me at Sunset"
"This evening?"
"Yes. I must see who it is" Juliet starts to walk away
But Marina stops her "Juliet Isabel Redbrick! You're not going to meet some stranger I forbid it" Marina said motherly serious.
"Mum, it sounds very important I must go. And maybe this person has the answers to all my questions"
Marina thought it for a long time until she spoke "Ok, but at least let me come with you. It could be a trap. I could be one of Mercutio's pirate traps to get to you again"
"Perhaps but still, I have to go and see"
"Juliet I'm coming with u' Her mum says
"But mum..." Juliet whines like the child she still is.
"No buts, young lady! You're my daughter and I came back to protect you, I'm not going to lose you not again, understood!" She says seriously Juliet smiled hugging her mum, despite her strong voice.
"Glad to have you back, mummy" she smiles and hugs her mother.
They arrive at the beach as Sunset came upon them. The beach was empty as they walk along the shore in the sand barefoot. They look around the area until they see a hooded man in black covering his face. He was sitting by the docks, fishing into the sea, unaware he had to 2 "fishes" behind him.
"That must be him"
"Stay alert, my child" Marina whispers. And Juliet nods.
They approach the hooded figure as Juliet clears her throat speaks
"Excuse me, are you the one who sent me the letter to meet you, I'm Juliet" the Red says, softly.
The strange man stands up from the docks as he set his fishy rod down and looks over at Juliet. He gasps when barely recognized her. It's been a while since he last saw her, especially since she has legs and not her tail.
"Juliet, my dear child. Look how you've Grown" he approached to hug her but Marina steps in front of her, concern of this man.
"Hey, back off, buddy. Because I will call the cops" Marina warns.
Marina got confused by him knowing her mermaid name "My apologies, Coral" The man backs off.
"How do you know my name? Who are you?" she asks.
He removes his hood to show himself. It was their protector and good friend, Old Man Barracuda! He was back after a long journey out in sea all over the words! The girls couldn't do anything but gasps in shock and excitement.
"Oh my god, it's you!" Marina gasps
Juliet then gasps louder "Barracuda!" she raced into his arms, hugging him for a long time.
"My dear girl, look at you so beautiful!" he smiles at her.
"It's been a long time, Barracuda" Marina cuts in.
"That it has, my dear mermaids, but I returned for urgent reasons"
"What's wrong?"
"Please, come with me"
They follow him down the beach to the harbour where his boat was parked. They aboard his boat and sail into the middle of the water. It was always so peaceful and nice to feel the wind and salty water in your face. Juliet exhales after breathing in the fresh air. She took everything in as she saw dolphins jumping and playing in the water next to the boat. She couldn't resist anymore, she had to get in there. The Red runs across the desk, jumps off the front pole and dives into the water! Just like the dolphins, she dives and jumps out the water, having the time of her life! Even the dolphins had fun with her by giving her rides and she even spoke to them in their language, one of her useful skills.
"This is amazing!" she squeals while holding on to the cheerful jumping dolphin.
As much as loved seeing her daughter so happy part of the sea and she hated to ruin her fun but it was time for her to come back to the boat
"Juliet, dear, time to come up!" Marina called down to her from the boat's railing.
Juliet frowns but come back to the boat. Old Man Barracuda throws down a rope to her and pulls her back on his boat. While Juliet gets her legs back and dries herself up, Barracuda clears his throat to speak.
"Alright, ladies. The reason why I brought you here is because I some important stuff to tell you that involves both of you. I return to tell you of news I fear there is danger approaching" he warns, getting their full attention.
"Danger?"
He nods "I had a vision horrible things are to become upon the Mermaid society staring with you my dear"
"You're vision was correct bad things are happening".
"I think I know what you mean because Juliet had a recent run in with the sworn enemies of Mermaid" Marina informs.
"Pirates?" his eyes widen.
"They tried to steal my pearls and wanted me to give away info on the Mermaid queen" Juliet adds.
Barracuda gasp "How did they find out about the queen?" it was obvious that he knew about the Queen since he knows more about fish tales than anybody.
"We don't know, Barracuda. But they're after her and we can't let them find her or the Mer-kingdom"
"Let's not panic or jump to conclusions yet. How much do they know?" he asks.
"Not much but not matter how stupid pirates can be, they're sneaks they have ways of getting things" Juliet frowns.
"This is bad if they're looking for the queen then bad things are sure to happen and kidnapping you was just the start" he says.
"What do you mean?" Marina asks
"When I first left, I not only found some mystical mermaid sightings, I did research on Mermaid history and some things I found were not pretty. Juliet, there are things you still don't know. A great danger coming not just for the Mermaid kind but also those you hold close to you"
"I should know about that because sadly, Gnomeo already suffered from them once before. And it was my situation and I shouldn't have exposed him to it" Juliet felt guilty.
"Aye, my child but it was just him the first time but who knows what could happen next time it could be your mum or your dad or even your Child!"
Juliet gasps sin horror by the thought "No! Not my Mimi I'll unleash hell if they touch her!" she meant it literally; she had the power to do that. She got that power when she was 12, pretty cool and horrifying things happened at that time.
"Then don't give them that opportunity, dear child. You must protect her and your kind"
"I will! I swear! I have to get back home" she panics, leaning on the railing, ready to jum back in.
But Marina stops her for a second "Jules, return to the garden. I'll be there shortly. I must speak to the Mermaid queen, Cordelia and tell her all I know about the pirates and you" Marina steps on to the railings, ready to jump too.
"Be careful down there, mum. And thanks for coming back, Barracuda. I promise to come back and see you"
"I would like that, little Juliet & you too, dear Marina" he bids goodbye.
"Same here, old friend" Marina finally jumps as she returns to her home, to the sea as Juliet returns home.
Juliet enters her room, still with tear sin her eyes. She walks over to the side of her bed, bends down and pulls out a few boxes from under it. There were memories of her past inside them, several scrapbooks and photos when she was younger, kiddie birthday parties, when her mother was "alive" in the Red garden with her Dad and her cousin, and there were even pictures of her and him, her big brother. They looked so happy together, playing together no matter what season it was, spring, summer, fall or winter. She smiles at the pictures but then frown in knowing that she's the reason of why she lost his sibling love and affection in the first place. She doesn't even know if was still alive out there.
"Oh, my Willy. You have no idea how much I miss you" she even started to sing her part of their song.

That song always made her remember him and sort of kept her connected to him. All she wanted is to sing it t him and fix things between them. To tell him how she feels and explains why the reason they grow apart was her fault.
"Hey" Gnomeo comes in the room, finding her upset.
His voice made her jump "Gnomeo, you scared me"
"Why so jumpy, love?" he asks, eyeing her in a suspicious way.
"Just some stuff I did today & I'm really tired" she says, trying to hide the boxes from him and not let him know of her little "adventure" earlier.
"Uh-huh. So why were you crying earlier before I came in?"
"What makes you think I was crying?"
"Were you crying about something? Or perhaps someone?"
"What do you mean?"
"Were you crying for your secret lover?"
Juliet's eyes widen and glares back at him "Secret lover? What are you talking about?"
"Enough games, Juliet! You're going to tell me right now who he is!" he snaps at her.
Juliet just stays there with her mouth open, in shock and disgust. How can he possible thing she was cheating on him. He has no right to burst out a ridiculous question like that especially if he didn't know what he was talking about.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Gnomeo! You're my husband! I don't have a secret lover! Expect for you when in the feud times!"
"NOT THE POINT! SO QUIT LYING TO ME! TELL ME WHO THIS WILLY CHARACTER IS!?"
"Wait, Willy? Hold on, you were ease dropping on my conversations?"
"It's a good thing I did cause now I know that you would betray me like this!"
"I didn't and never betray you, Gnomeo. Willy is not my secret lover!"
"Oh no, He's not? Then who is he?!"
"He's my... brother" she finally confess, lowering her head.
Gnomeo gulps, wishing he could take back everything he snapped her at "Your... Your brother?"
Juliet pulls out the boxes and shows him the photos "Yes, my older brother. Are you happy now? I can't believe you thought I would betray you like that. I see you don't trust me"
"Juliet, I'm deeply sorry for accusing you. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions like that. & not ease drop on your conversation. Please, forgive me" he begs her, kneeling down and holding her hands.
"I forgive you, Gnomeo. It's ok, you didn't know. But I want you to promise me that if you ever have a doubt about me; just ask me first before you start yelling me" she says serious and he nods like crazy.
"I promise.I'm so sorry for snapping at you like that" he kisses her hands.
"And start trusting me, ok?"
"I will and I do, I promise"
"Ok"
"Wait, how come you never told me you had a brother?"
"Because I haven't seen him in 15 years, I nearly forgot about him" she frowns.
"What happen between you 2?"
Julie frowns "Its a long story"
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
"Maybe later"
"You know you can tell me anything, Jules. You know that right?"
"I know but there are some things that are just too painful to remember or explain. But knowing I can trust you, I can tell at least some of our past relationship"
"When you put it like that, it makes me jealous like if you love him more than me"
"Not funny but yeah, you could say he was my first love, the first man of my life"
"Ok, that you gone to far!"
Gnomeo chuckles and locks his lips with hers, kissing her passionately and a little wild. He goes down and kisses her neck, making her squeal with laughter as she tried to push him away because he was getting carried away by the desire.
"No, no, Gnomeo, stop" she cried, pushing him off her, trying to run away.
But he pulls her back "I can't. You drive me crazy" he says, kissing her neck
"It's starting to hurt, so stop!" she laughs but was serious
"Nope, you're not going anywhere, angel face!"
"Real cheesy but I still a bit sore and so are you. Too much excitement is bad for your strength"
"Not as long as I have you as my private nurse"
"You're such a goof. But you're my goof" She flirts as she wraps her arms around him.
"Just kiss me, you devil" he flirts, making her laugh. He picks her up and carries her bride style and sets her down on her bed. But Juliet stops him when they hear a knock on the door. Juliet pulls away to answer but Gnomeo pulls her back in his arms.
"No, don't go" he whines, pulling onto her.
"It could our parents or our friends" she says, trying to get out of his grip.
"They could wait" he pulls her back, giving him a kiss, knowing I was her weakness.
But she didn't give up easily "It might be important"
"Fine" he finally lets her go and she walks away to answer the door.
Juliet goes to answer it and finds a tall, young and handsome gnome with a Red hat and brown hair sticking out of his hat and a nice white beard like his. He was also wearing a large backpack on his back. Juliet almost lost her breath by knowing who this man was.
"Jules?"The guy asks, looking at her from head to toe, surprised too
"Willy?" she had a surprise look on her face

OOOH, A Cliffhanger! Don't kill me or I'll kill u back! Sorry, that just my reflexes, I'm trained like that.
