33. Daimon Chika
She didn't want them to fight
but she wanted them all
to stay together.
Maybe she didn't believe hard enough:
enough to fight for that belief,
enough to risk losing it all –
even if some of those hadn't been hers
to lose.
She hadn't really had her father, she supposed,
or her brother too…
humans couldn't own other people
But they could own other things,
like a will: the one that had been passed down
to her
And she hadn't wanted to fight
but she could
and she did
Because she was fighting for something after all
Even if it wasn't to not fight.
