98. As the Day they Met
They didn't have the time to fall in love
but they were still in love
nonetheless.
They didn't need anyone telling them
of haste;
they were in love
and they could spend an eternity
with the same.
There was no question of commitment,
of foolish flings they'd kill
once the threat of death passed overhead
But they were sure, and they went ahead
and tied the knot.
Years later they were still together
in the perfect picture frame:
side by side,
and still as smitten
as they day they met
and fell in love.
