After we proposed the idea to my mother, she sent us out the room and talked to Mr Soloman alone. After a few minutes my stomach started rumbling. I looked up at my 3 room mates who in turn looked at me. In unison we headed down to the kitchen and ask if we could have a snack. And when they didn't, we raided the fridge anyway.
When we started to walk back up the stairs case again and headed to my mothers office someone called for me.
"Gallagher girl," Zach said from the bottom of the stairs. I turned around to look at him. The others nodded and I headed down to meet him whilst the others went back to my mothers office.
"I thought about what you said to me earlier, about staying here after winter finishes, I cant. I'm going back to Blackthorn academy." He looked me dead in the eye.
"But why? You like it here, don't you? Why are you going back?"
"I don't think I can be around you anymore, I tried pretending to be nice but I cant take it anymore. I'm leaving so that I don't have to see you anymore. Ill help of what I can from Blackthorn but that's it. Please don't expect to see anymore of me." But I wouldn't let him go.
"I don't get it! First you say that I'm just another part of your assignment but you gave me a present that said you would wait for me and when I found you, you were so happy to see me and now this. I don't get you Zach, do you like me or hate me?" I stared at him in disbelief, how can he say something like that again?
"Right now? I hate you." and with that he left, and didn't look back.
