A/N: WARNING this chapter contains words? (I'm running out of warnings)
The lacrimas around the women's feet began to glow once more, the light emitted was enough to distract Rissy from the battle and glance at them. Anger immediately shot through her at the thought of her friends' magic being ruthlessly taken for whatever schemes the twins were planning.
Esther scowled at the salmon haired women as her attention was no longer focused on her, narrowing her eyes a cyan colored magic circle appeared around her outstretched hands and immediately turned the once empty room into a forest.
Upon seeing their surroundings Rissy quickly raised her head her eyes widening at the trees around her. she placed a hand on one of the leaves a small gas escaping her at how much better at her magic Esther had become as even the leaves were insanely detailed that if Rissy didn't know her old friends magic she would have thought it real.
"...Thought that might get your attention..." Esther said with a smirk.
Rissy withdrew her hand from the leaf and stood facing the cyan haired woman in front of her. Esther half expected the salmon haired woman to clench her fists...or get into some sort of fighting stance...however to her surprise Rissy stood there her dark eyes no longer showing the anger from before but a sadness that she thought she would never see.
Rissy took in a deep breath her dark eyes focused on the woman in front her and her gaze never leaving her.
"Esther...I'm not asking you as your opponent, I'm asking you as a friend...your sister" Rissy said and for a moment she thought she saw Esther stiffen.
Esther tried to stop herself from laughing; however a small scoff escaped her causing Rissy's eyes to sadly darken.
"You..." Esther snarled as she pointed a finger at the salmon haired woman "you think that after all this time...you can just waltz in and pull a stunt like that?"
Rissy just stared at Esther with a sadness that she hadn't felt in a long time, it was bad enough that both Elijah, Ezekiel and Emmanuel had worsened over the years and looked as if they weren't changing any time soon...but Esther had been one the closest ones to her, always looking out for her, always there for her always her sister.
"Esther...please-" Rissy said
Esther shook her head and laughed darkly "That ship sailed...a long time ago"
Rissy lowered her head...it looked as if she was too late...it looked as if Esther was never coming back.
"What did he do to you?" Rissy asked as tears threatened to fall.
Esther smiled at Rissy's question "He opened my eyes" she stated matter of factly
Rissy scoffed "To what...becoming a bastard...or psychotic?!" Rissy exclaimed
Esther laughed "Elijah-Sama always said that you never understood...at first I thought that he was being harsh on you..." She said as she started to walk towards Rissy "But that doesn't matter now...not anymore since soon we can all be together and you will understand my little pink haired friend" Esther added, making sure she emphasized the 'pink'.
Rissy stiffened at the darkness that Esther's eyes now possessed and gone where the eyes that used to comfort her and tell her that everything was going to be alright.
"Thanks for the invite...but it doesn't sound like my kind of thing...and for the last time its salmon not pink" Rissy said as she slowly started to take a step back away, however Esther's cold stare still remained on her.
Esther smiled once more "Don't you see...you have no choice in the matter...this is happening whether you like it or not" Esther stated her face now only inches away from Rissy's.
Rissy frowned "Well it looks as if I'm going to have to stop it then" She stated as a multi-colored light engulfed her hand.
Esther braced herself for the impact by tightly closing her eyes and crossing her arms in front of her in an 'x' shape. There was a loud explosion that echoed throughout the room, with debris and dust scattering the floor. Esther opened her eyes once she realized that she was in fact still standing, however the smirk on Rissy's face told her that this was not a good thing.
Glancing down at the ground below her she noticed the now destroyed lacrima's which were now back to their original teal colour with the magic no longer inside them .
"You..You ruined it!" Esther shrieked as she sat on her knees and picked up the broken pieces of lacrima.
Rissy shrugged her shoulders "Sorry looks as if I missed" She said innocently causing Esther to growl.
"You will regret this..." Esther hissed as she stood up and the broken pieces of lacrima fell to the ground with a thud.
Rissy shook her head with a smile "No...I don't think I will" She stated.
This was the last straw for Esther, the cyan haired woman quickly placed her hand through the slit of her dress and before Rissy could react three very sharp knives were flying her direction.
Rissy's eyes widened as the knives flew at her, and if it wasn't for her speed she most likely would have gotten stabbed in the chest.
She felt a sudden sting on her upper arm and glancing down she noticed the slash there from the knife that she didn't manage to miss.
"What...the actual fuck!" Rissy gasped as she stared at Esther wide eyed.
Esther smirked at her reaction "I learnt some tricks after you left..."
Rissy scoffed "You call that a trick...that was an inch away from killing me!" She exclaimed before she quickly placed her left hand over her cut in a feeble attempt to stop the bleeding.
Esther shrugged her shoulders "Sorry looks as if I missed" She said, using Rissy's own words back at her.
Rissy stared at her blankly for exactly three seconds before her mouth formed an 'o' shape and a scowl formed on her face "That's what I said!" Rissy exclaimed, causing Esther to sweat drop and mutter something about how dense Rissy was.
Gray, Natsu, Erza and Happy had been in the dragon skeleton cage for over half an hour and too be honest the mages were getting bored. For the past twenty Natsu had tried in vain to punch himself out of the cage, while Gray sighed loudly and Happy loudly cheered on his partner.
"I can feel it...this time I'll get us out!" Natsu declared as he readied himself to aim another punch at the skeletons ribcage.
Gray rolled his eyes at the dragon slayer, he was about to mention that the last fifth teen...or was it eighteen...he had lost count...Natsu had said the same thing.
"You can do it Natsu!" Happy shouted which earned himself a toothy grin from his partner.
Gray turned around as he didn't want to witness Natsu failing once again, and Erza just continued to ignore him. However at the last second there was a loud explosion, causing both Gray and Erza to glance around both wondering what had caused it? The Sudden loud bang, followed by a crash was enough to break the two mages from their thoughts as the dragon skeleton cage fell to pieces around their feet.
Once the dust had cleared both Gray and Erza stared shocked at Natsu who had actually succeeded in getting them out from their prison.
Happy was the first to fly out and celebrate with Natsu "But...I thought we had no magic..." Erza stated as she stared to step out from the pile of bones.
Natsu stopped celebrating as he turned to face Erza "Yeah...so did I...but after that weird explosion it just came back" Natsu said before he started to celebrate once again.
Erza nodded before equipping into her heavens wheel armour "Well...guess we better stop this...Emmanuel" She stated
Natsu suddenly frowned "But I want to fight him" He whined
"Yeah so you can lose ash for brains" Gray laughed causing Natsu to engulf his fists with flames
"Say that again ice bastard" Natsu growled, both mages forgetting that Erza was standing right behind them with a dark aura surrounding her.
Suddenly both mages found themselves sporting identical head bumps once Erza had hit them both over the head. "Gray...you find Lucy and Natsu you are coming with me" Erza stated
"Why does the ice bastard get to find Lucy" Natsu exclaimed
"Because I don't trust you alone not to do something stupid" Erza stated
"Neither would I..." A familiar voice stated and once the three mages- and Happy turned around they were met with the sudden appearance of the twin dragon slayers along with their exceeds and Lavender.
Natsu was the first to approach them, the salmon haired dragon slayer was the most confused out of the Fairy Tail mages as to why the Sabertooth mages where in the museum "Who invited you guys here?!" Natsu exclaimed causing Sting to smirk.
"Your sister" Sting stated matter of factly
"You two where with Rissy?" Erza asked whilst pushing Natsu to the side.
"Yes...and she sent us off to find your friend..whilst she dealt with one of hers..."Rogue explained
Erza nodded in understanding "We're sending Gray to find Lucy...but you can come with us to find Emmanuel as he seems the bigger threat" Erza offered
"Sounds like a plan" Sting said with a smirk
"I want to help Rissy-Chan" Lavender stated
Lector frowned at the lilac exceed "She told us to go...and said that she'll be fine" Lector told her
Lavender shook her head "But Esther still has Lucy's keys...and she may need those" Lavender pointed out.
"She's right..." Erza said
Lavender frowned before suddenly gasping "Why don't we get them" she suggested as she gestured to the four exceeds.
"Is that a good idea?" Gray asked
Lavender nodded "Yep" she said with a 'pop' "Because I thought of it"
Lector frowned "And that's good because?"
"Because...I said so" She snapped before she stuck out her tongue at the brown exceed.
"It could actually put the four of you to some use..." Erza muttered
"Aye!" Happy exclaimed before frowning
"But I want to stay with Sting-Kun..." Lector muttered to himself.
"You think that he can't handle himself...?" Lavender asked with a smirk
"No...I just want to be a good partner" Lector countered
Lavender shook her head with a giggle "Rissy-Chan can handle herself...she doesn't need my help...so Rissy-Chan is the best" Lavender concluded with a nod
"No" Lector stated with a shake of his head "Sting-Kun is going to fight the bigger threat...so he's the best" Lector stated
Happy just stared at the two exceeds, just a little confused while Frosch happily shouted that he agreed with each of their statements.
"Rissy-Chan has better hair!" Lavender shouted
"How is that a valid reason...?" Gray mumbled as he and the rest of the mages watched the exceeds exchange.
"Yeah..." Natsu muttered before he turned to Gray "What are you doing here...go find Lucy!" He shouted
"You're worried!" Happy stated, causing Sting to smirk.
Natsu shook his head "No...I'm not worried...who said I was worried about Lucy" He said a little too quickly.
"You idiot...of course you're worried about Lucy, she's your team mate" Gray pointed out.
Natsu suddenly started to laugh nervously "Yeah that's what I meant...I was worried because she's my teammate...no other reason" He muttered to himself, causing both Gray and Erza to exchange glances.
"He's worse than you..." Sting sated to his partner.
"Right..." Erza stated before she grabbed Natsu by the back of his jacket and proceeded to pull him out of the room with the both Sting and Rogue walking behind.
"What are you still doing...go look for Lucy!" Natsu shouted as Erza started to pull him through the hallway.
Gray laughed before walking out of the room, muttering something about Natsu having 'ash for brains'
"I heard that ice bastard!" Natsu shouted
Gray smirked before he walked off in search for Lucy, he wouldn't admit but he thought it was sweet that Natsu was worried for their team-mate.
"We should go too" Lavender stated as she started to walk off
"Aye!" Happy exclaimed as he followed behind.
"But Sting-Kun is the best!" Lector shouted which earned himself a sigh from the lilac exceed.
It looked as if there was no way out of the museum basement, however Lucy was prepared to not give up especially when she had an unconscious mage and a large group of children to worry about. It had been maybe an hour or two...Lucy had lost count, since the cyan haired mages had last visited them and Lucy had no idea if her friends were okay or not.
"Umm...Lucy-San how are we getting out of here?" One of the younger boys asked and glancing over at him even in the room's darkness Lucy could see that ever so faint glimmer of hope in his eyes.
"I'm not too sure...but don't worry I will find a way for us escape...and that's a promise" Lucy said.
The boy just stared at her blankly "How can you promise that?" He asked
"Because she did...and a celestial mage never breaks their promises" The girl around Wendy's age stated.
Lucy nodded in agreement "And I think I have a plan..."
"Remind me how this is going to work?" one of the children asked her...at this point Lucy had mixed all their names and in the darkness they all looked the same.
"Well..." Lucy said as she admired her handy work. "In lots of the adventure novels I've read the characters often use small objects to pick the locks" Lucy explained.
"Lucy-San...they were stories and if you haven't noticed this is life" one of the girls stated
Lucy frowned "But...if you haven't noticed most stories are based from true life events...how else would the writer be able to describe such events in detail" Lucy countered.
With a sigh Lucy reached for one of the pins holding her hair in place and began to stretch it out so it now formed a straight line.
Crossing her fingers she positioned the pin in the lock and started to turn it around.
"I think she's gone crazy..."one of the boys loudly whispered
"I think she was crazy to begin with..." one of the girls concluded
"I can still hear you...very clearly" Lucy hissed whilst never taking her eyes from the lock.
"But Lucy-San...this isn't working" one of the girls moaned
"At least she's trying..." one of the other girls started, her voice in a loud whisper
"Even if the plan is a little crazy" one of the boys finished, also continuing in the loud whisper which caused. Lucy to sigh once more
"You know I can still hear you..." Lucy hissed as she slammed her hand against the door in frustration...and the celestial mage instantly regretted her decision as a violent throbbing spread throughout her hand.
"That was smart..." Lucy groaned as she hugged her throbbing hand to her chest and was totally oblivious to the children's shouts of excitement.
It wasn't until a burst of light hit her face that Lucy was aware that the door was indeed open. "Lucy-San, you actually did it!" one of the girls shouted loudly as she proceeded to jump around.
"Oh...and when you smacked your and against the door to open it...that was genius!" one the boys shouted
"Um...yeah...I was supposed to do that" she muttered to herself as she stood up.
She suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder and turning to her left she noticed the familiar mage from before. "Akio!" Lucy gasped as she hugged the taller mage.
"Nice work...getting us out" He added with a smile
Lucy returned her own smile "Thanks...but to be honest I'm more concerned about what happens now..." She added with a sigh.
"Oh...the twins?" Akio asked
"Yep" Lucy responded
"How about we take the kids home?" Akio suggested
"I think I'll stay here...I mean...my friends will need me" Lucy said and Akio nodded in understanding
"I understand...nakama right" Akio asked as he offered Lucy his hand
"Nakama" Lucy said with a smile as she shook his hand
"We'll be in touch!" Akio shouted as he walked off "Hey kids...lets get you back to your parents!" He exclaimed as he ushered the group out of the museum.
"By Lucy-San!" The children shouted as they walked away
"Sorry for calling you crazy!"
Lucy smiled as the small group left however as she felt that familiar feeling of being watched she turned to find a teal floating lacrima behind her.
Reaching out she grabbed the lacrima and gasped at the scene it displayed; Erza was walking ahead with an expression of pure determination on her face and Natsu was walking behind. Since the footage had no sound to go with it and the fire dragon slayer looked a little ridiculous as he flailed his arms about in the blonde dragon slayer's face whilst shouting loudly. Lucy let out a little giggle as Erza, who's patience was wearing thin whacked Natsu upside his head which even caused the shadow dragon slayer to smirk.
Satisfied that her friends were okay, Lucy set off to find them and hopefully her celestial keys.
