17. Finding Out The Truth About The Demon
This was a total nightmare! A nightmare nobody could escape. Gnomeo thought that when a small pitch of happiness was coming to his life and nothing can destroy it, the disgrace that his ex-friend keeps coming back and wanting to kill them. It was the early hours of the nights like 3am. Mimi was peacefully sleeping in the couple's master bedroom for safety and just in case anything happens for the rest of the night. Sleep was the least he wanted to do right now, he had to keep both his blue eyes on his daughter and wait for his wife.
"What are we going to do? Where is Juliet?! She should have been back by now"
"I don't know, Gnomeo, but I'm sure she's gonna be coming thru that door any moment now" said Benny who was there to help him out get thru this.
"I don't know, Benny. Something doesn't seem right here. I have a bad feeling that things are gonna get worst here"
"What do you mean? You think Juliet is hiding something more?"
"No, of course not! I know all her secrets and if she had any new ones, she would tell me like she always does" Then Gnomeo gets a thought. "Hey, where Jazmin?" he asks Benny, all the sudden.
"I don't know in her vault, I think. Why?"
"I need to talk to her" Gnomeo stands up and takes his sleeping daughter in his arms and the 2 blue males walk outside.
But Benny was still confused and follows him "Gnomeo, where are you going? What does Jaz has anything to do with this? What are you going to do?"
"Just worried about yourself and your wife and family. And I worry about me and my wife and my family. Relax; I'm only going to need to talk to her"
A few short minutes have passed, Gnomeo left little Mimi at his parents garden to watch over here and Benny took to his garden to find his wife but she was nowhere to be found, which was no surprised but he did know where she was.
Jazmin herself was worried about her friend. She was locked in her vault for 3 hours while her kids were at their friend's house and her husband who knows where in the 3 garden, probably with his cousin. After the events she heard today and what has happened in almost losing her husband and her friend, she's been none stop looking for a way out of this. None stop looking for her friend and her creepy insane stalker on her tracking devises and super computer. But this takes more the high tech spy gadgets to find mystical powerful magical creatures. She needed to use her inner mermaid indicts too to find her, the only choice she had felt.
"Come on, come on, come on, Jaz. Use your mermaid instincts. You can do this. You can find her. Remember she has all the powers of all mermaids combine. She's the ultimate mermaid/ninja. And you're the ultimate level 10 spy, so you can find this fish girl who's your best friend. If only I have one of her scales or something"
"That's it!" Jazmin runs over to one of her drawers and pulls out a plastic bag that had a lapel "Jules's scales". "This is going to help me find her before that assassin find her first"
But before Jazmin could put the scales of the DVA tracking system, she hears a buzzing coming from the back of her leather jean's pocket. It was her phone. She checks the caller ID & it was her husband.
"Oh, not now, Ben" she sighs and clears her throat to answer. "Hello?" she acts normal to not sound rude.
"Hey, Jazzy?" Benny's voice came in the other line.
"Hey, Benny, love. What's up?"
"Ok, well, first of all, I wanted to say that I miss you" he says sweetly and Jazmin rolls her eyes but smiles. "And that Gnomeo is here with me and he wants to talk to you. Something about Juliet"
Uh Oh! No! He knows!
"Juliet? What about her?! I haven't see her in days? Why does he think I know where she is?"
"Pleaase, Jazmin. I need your help. You're the only one who can help me with this, please" Gnomeo was talking now on the phone.
She could hear the desperation in his tone and she had no choice.
"Fine. I'll be up in a second" she said and hangs up.
Literally
Jazmin puts the bag of samples back in the drawer under her fingerprint locked down and locks her super computer. And goes up the tube to her living room where she sees the guys already waiting for her.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" she walks out, acting casual
Gnomeo wasted no time in going to Jazmin "Jazz, you have to help me. You know Juliet as well as I do. You must know where she is" he begs.
Jazmin gets nervous but acts casual "No, I can't. I promised Juliet & Queen Cordelia I wouldn't say. I'm sorry I wish I could something to help you out but I'm really busy with all these other reports that need my attention" she tries to walk away.
"But this is a real emergency!" He shouts which made her stop "You can't just walk away from this, Jazmin! Juliet needs your help! She could be in danger! Who knows where she sis!? Who knows if that lunatic of Mercutio is after her or is hurting her and I can't do anything about it because I'm stuck here not knowing where she is! PLEAS HELP ME!"
"I CAN'T! Gnomeo, I know you're worried as hell, so I am but we both perfectly know how stubborn and hardcore Juliet is, she will be fine. She always is and I have faith she'll be back soon"
"Faith is not going to bring her home now. I need you to find her for me"
"What part of I can't don't you understand?! Just drop it, Gnomeo!"
Then Benny jumps in this argument "Whoa, whoa, take it easy, Gnomoe. Cal m down" he tells his cousin and then faces his wife" Babe, What's the matter with you? Juliet needs help and you're not going to help. That's not the spy I married"
As she much as Jazmin wanted to tell the guys and not keep any secrets from them but this was graver and bigger than they thought I decided to end this before they get too suspicious.
"I'm sorry. I can't tell you. I'm sorry, Gnomeo. I have things to do okay." She intends to walka way again.
Gnomeo starts to get mad "What? What's more important than finding my wife, your best friend!?"
Now he was starting to get on her nerves.
"Gno meo, you don;t know what you're up against here. This is way bigger than you can imagine. This is more than just a simple good old fashion prince goes after princess crazy. No this is much more than maniac after powerful mermaid crazy. This is bigger and which means more dangerous. Look, I trust Juliet and she can take care of herself. She's technically the princess of the sea, no speaking ironically"
"And what is it? Why can't you or her tell me?! After everything that has happen? Why can't I know? You think I will not understand the situation? Am I too human for her to understand?"
"No, it's nothing like that.."
"Then tell me! What is it then!? What's going Mercutio going to do to her"
Jazmin had no choice than to finally tell him, even if Juliet and Queen Cordelia are going to kill her when they find out she told.
"Tell me this, Gnomeo. Have you noticed anything different in Juliet's powers lately?"
"No! Well, yeah, maybe I did but didn't see much. Why do you ask? Do you think she's going to use them to go against Mercutio"
"No, Gnomeo. Powers are nothing compared what Mercutio has planned for Juliet. What are we going to do? There's only 3 days until the transformation and we don't have the star with us?"
"What do you mean? I don't understand. Please, get to the point already, Jazmin" he was getting more worried.
"I don't know. Juliet's side effects are getting stronger. Only who knows what she'll become next but I have a feeling it will be the worst of all"
"What will it be?"
"Pop quiz, what's the most dangerous marine animal in the sea?"
"Shark" Gnomeo gasps
"Exactly. The worst one is her shark effects. And if you thought octopus were bad, just until she turns into a shark mermaid. And if we don't find the star, she'll stay like that forever!"
"Wait, hold on, hold on. You're saying that my Juliet, my wife, the love of my life is going to turn into a dangerous human and fish eating, blood thirsty sea creature/monster?" he was shocked.
"This isn't in her control, Gnomeo. Mercutio is persuading her to this and he when I find her and has her in his hands, he will have no mercy on her. I will find her. But I need you to stay put"
"Wait, hold on again, Are you saying that I should..."
"STAY OUT OF THIS! Yes, exactly what I'm saying"
"NO WAY!" he shouts, angry.
"YES WAY!" She snaps back the same way. Man, this guy is annoying! "Gnomeo, I'm telling you for your own good and Juliet's, for Mimi's, for my family and the entire gardens, please, let me, Marina and Queen Cordelia, handle this. End of discussion" she states serious.
"Yeah, but how about I..."
"END of discussion!" she grits thru her teeth, seriously.
Oooohhh, now things just go real.
Gnomeo glares angry but sighs "Fine, you win, Ms. Super spy. I'll stay out this, but not because you asked me too"
"I know it is" she says with a mocking tone and starts to walk away.
"But for Juliet"
"Of course you are"
"And don't think you win this around"
"Of course I have"
"And don't you walk away!
"That's not what I'm doing!"
"Cause this isn't over!"
"I know it is" and she was finally gone.
Benny was in shock "Wow! That was intense. And man, can she move does hips and big ass of her's!" he drooled over his wife when she walked away.
"You're an idiot" Gnomeo says and walked away himself to another direction.
And this really wasn't over at all.
(Next morning, Port Hope)
Some on the coast of the beaches and harbour of Port Hope, a fish factory was with all it's workers delivering fresh fish. It was a large Company and fish market by the end of the beach. They were a lot of fishermen with every gnome buying fish. Every day, workers worked hard to put bread on the table and work up a sweat, obeying every order their boss made, Don Claudio. Don Claudio was an evil fisher business gnome; he earned thousands of dollars every month for his fresh fish. And ever since he heard about stories and rumours about Juliet and Coral being mermaids that lived in a secret cave in the coast of Hope Port, he didn't rest until he finally found out where they were hiding. He was a white gnome with a brown moustache and was wearing a white suit and a black neck tie, he had an aggressive and demanding attitude, and he wasn't the kind of person you didn't want to mess with. And for years, he was been searching for that little spoiled red mermaid and her mermaid mother for making a fool out of him but no luck for far, not the slightest clue.
"Excuse me, Don Claudio?" a short man with an image of Igor walked in the office.
"What is it, Gerald? Can't you see I'm busy here?" the man with the mustache said without looking from his paperwork.
"I know, I'm sorry. It's just that you have a visitor who wants to talk to you urgent and has a great offer on the table for you"
"Alright, let him in. What are you waiting for, Gerald. Andale, vamonos, let him in!"
"Buenos Dias, Señor" the younger man said with a twisted smirk on his face.
Claudio looks up from his desk and saw a young man with black and blueish gray hair and shark sharp teeth but he didn't want to question in now.
"Who are you and what do you want?"
"My name is Mercutio Indigo. And I would like to make a business deal you that will make both of us happy at the end. For me and your entire company. Now that make us both dream beyond your wildest dreams" Mercutio said with evilness.
"Well, you certainly got my attention, boy. Don Claudio at your service. Well, sit, and continue. What are you trying to propose here, Mr. Indigo?"
Mercutio sat down "Well, let's cut the crap and get down to business. I am requesting to speak with your "fishermen" here afterwards, Don. I understand you boys are the best fishermen around"
"You heard right, señor!"
"Any chance you would be willing to assist me in exchange for something worth your while" Mercutio then tosses him a bag of gold coins and silver pieces on his desk. "And that's just the appetizer because there is plenty but PLENTY more with that came from"
"What do you want us to do?"
Like a total sick Godfather gangster, Mercutio pulls out an envelope from his jacket and slides it with some photos of a Juliet with her tail. Don Claudio was shocked!
"The Little Mermaid! It's that little brat mermaid who humiliated me a few years ago! Oh, I get it now; You want us to go after a mermaid" he asked angrily, pointing at the picture.
Mercutio smirks more "Yes. But I should warn you that she's no regular mermaid. She's as powerful as she is gorgeous as the sea itself and has something I want. I need you guys to hunt her down and bring her too me"
"Not that I already know some obvious reasons but I must ask, it sounds like you know this mergirl. Do you know her personally? What's your story with her? What's so special about her?"
"Let me put it to you this way; bring her to me, alive and you could be up to your necks in weights in wealth. Just picture it, Don Claudio, rolling in gold bars, you´ll be so rich that you will have euros and American dollars by how rich we both will be. Living in the deluxe apartments in the sky, with sexy slutty maids in short slutty maid outfits and swimming in solid gold coins and drinking cold margaritas with those cute little umbrellas" he smirks, thinking of the Red girl's pearly and valuable scales.
Don Claudios sets the photos down on his desk and pushes down a button he had behind his desk. Seconds later, 3 big scary muscular thugs with tattoos and piercing and moustaches and beards came in the office.
"You called us, jefe?" one asked as the others were wondering the same question.
Don Claudio stands up "Boys, start up the boat's engines and prepare to go on a fish hunt. Grab your harpoons and nets, boys. We're going fishing for mermaids"
"So we have a deal?" Mercutio stands with evilness in his eyes.
"We have a deal, chico" they closed the deal with a firm hand shake.
I'm coming for you, princess. Mercutio thought sinisterly in his mind.
And so the mermaid hunt began immediately. Claudio and his men were out on the high sea on their engine boats filled with nets, harpoons, spears and even poison like toxic waste. And they even brought fish blood which was hurting Mercutio's nose but he kept himself calm and controlled.
It almost seemed like they were hunting whales or Moby Dick or something that's real, but never a mermaid before. So they never know what to use. But Mercutio did. He was already in the water, swimming like with his shark strength. The underwater ocean was clear; nothing was down here except some tiny innocent fishies who he growled at them to swim away. He was getting frustrated and re-surfaced and pulled himself up on the boat
"You really call this a mermaid hunt?" Mercutio scowls at Claudio and his crew "You brought only 3 lifeboats!"
"Sorry, Captain Demanding, but we can't use the ship or we'll get discovered. If there's too much movement in the surface, they'll know we're here" Claudio snaps, mad as well.
"Whatever, alright. This is where my mermaid swims around these parts, it's close to her old cave and she might be heading there right now. I'm going in to catch her. Wait for my signal to cast the nets and trap her for good" the crew nods and Mercutio jumps in with clothes and shoes to search.
Mercutio have spent hours and hours underwater, searching for a certain mermaid. He kicked his legs hard. Since he didn't have any of his powers yet, he couldn't use his tail or anything, he was trapped in his human form but hopefully not for long. He continues his search until he spotted her!
He spotted her! He found her!
He spotted Juliet, as a mermaid, swimming close to him, and unaware he was there. Mercutio swam with all his might and strength to get to her but when Juliet turn her face and saw him, she pushed herself and swam away from him as he tried to swim after but she was too fast and strong for his weak human body. He didn't have his shark reflexes anymore like he sued too. As Juliet swam in fear, Mercutio suddenly got caught in a fishing net that was meant for Juliet. He gets tangled in it and he gets pulled up to the surface where he could hear the fishermen's voices.
"I swear to you, Claudio, I saw her! I saw the mermaid!" Gerald says.
"Enough quit your blabbering for now, Gerald. And let's wait until the captain gets back. And you 2, go help him!" he orders and the men obeyed.
2 fishermen jump into the sea and dive to find Mercutio still struggling in the net. They used their knives to cut it and setting him free before he drowns. Mercutio gets on the boat to breathe but as soon as he gets his small breathe of oxygen, he screams in anger by loosing Juliet again!
"I lost her! I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOST HER AGAIN!" He bangs on the pole of the boat, furious. "If you fools haven't drop down the nets, I would have had her!" he screams at Don Claudio and his men.
"So what? And is that my fault? I drop the nets to catch her. And I told you that that mermaid is very clever and sneaky"
"DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT?! I KNOW SHE IS! I had her right there in front of me!"
"Men, let's return home!" Don Claudio orders to his men.
"WHAT?! WHAT ARE YOUS AYING!? WE'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE UNTIL WE FIND HER! I need every men out at sea searching for her!" Mercutio yells, pointing at the ocean.
"How?! You saw it yourself, that mermaid escaped and it will take days or even weeks to find her again. Plus, it's getting late, the sun is setting down. So, I suggest we go back and search tomorrow again"
"NO! I NEED JULIET NOW!"
"See, boss. I told you" Gerald points out.
"Yeah, yeah, don't start, ok. Yeah, there is a mermaid, I know. You're driving me crazy!".Claudio huffs and Mercutio growls.
This wasn't over, princess. You can't hide from me forever. He thoughts as he stare at the ocean again.
That night, Mercutio was in his room, alone, lost in his sinister thoughts. He was still furious on the fail mission of earlier on catching Juliet. He saw the fear in her eyes when she saw him, even though he was furious with her, he couldn't bare the pain he has by seeing her so afraid of him. But he will not forgive her from all the pain she already has given him. Once he catches her, he wanted to give her a lesson she will not forget and then get rid of her for good.
He was so distracted on his plan on capturing the mermaid he loves that he didn't hear that Juliet herself was actually looking thru his window. She just came back out of her hiding spot after the events of today and wanted to know what he was up too. She had a feeling he was planning something against her or her husband or her family again. She stands on her tip toes and eyes him for a while as Mercutio takes off his shoes, revealing he had a strange green rash, Juliet then notices something, that wasn't a rash he had on his feet!
They were fins! FINS! He had fins! The kind frogs and fish had!
Juliet couldn't believe it, could Mercutio be some sort of merman or creature!? She continues to observe him and she saw his reflection in the mirror, his eyes turn from brown to bloody red, filled with anger and evil. It was horrible; he's feet were fish gills, the kind merpeople get when they're beginning their mermaid transformation. She had it too when she was younger. But it was strange because Mercutio was an adult and had these gills.
She continues to observe him but her fear got the best of her and made her cry a small scream!
Mercutio hears the scream and wasted no time to jumps up and runs out his door to find the intruder. That voice sounded very familiar but he could be wrong. He looks around, searching for the intruder.
"WHO'S OUT THERE! COME OUT AND SHOW YOURSELF!"
Juliet hid behind a large tree and stayed silent. And she started hearing his conversation to himself.
Mercutio then looks toward the sea, with the thought of Juliet still being out there. He steps into the shore, remembering what it was like to have his strong merman tail again. He needed that star and Juliet to make it happen and also finally have the girl's always loved by his side as his mermaid Queen. He will not stop until he has them both.
Soon he started speaking as if he was speaking to Juliet, still not knowing she was close and listening.
"If it was up to me, I would personally go after you because I know where and how to find you. But as a human, I'm powerless. I can't stay too long under the sea and if somebody finds out who I really am, you wouldn't stand a chance to defend myself"
Soon he started getting a memory of when he was his merman self and he was talking to Juliet as her mermaid self.
(Flashback)
They were at least 12 years old and Mercutio has heard that Juliet has the Star of Hope with her always and he was reclaim her to give him the star but she kept refusing by her loyalty to always protect it. It was when Mercutio got exiled on almost stealing it from her and since it couldn't do it by force, he tried on being nice but it wasn't working out. She was too stubborn and wouldn't let him have it.
"Give me the star, Juliet!" he says, holding to his hand out
Juliet shakes her head, refusing "NEVER! You don't deserve to even look at the star, Triton! It doesn't belong to you!" she snaps at him while holding the star tight in her arms.
"It doesn't belong to you either, Juliet! NOW GIVE IT TO ME!"
NO! I´m its protector! My godmother and mother trusted it with me!"
"GIVE IT TO ME! You know it's my salvation!" he begs
"You know I can't give it to you! Because the star belongs in the hands of somebody who is noble and kind to all. Someone who can unlock the 5 punts of light and hope it was. Someone who has the kindness and intelligence to help other. And my mum and Queen Cordelia chose me!"
"BUT I NEED IT TO SAVE MYSELF FROM DEATH!" He begs again
"You failed by trying to use it's power for ambition and greed, Triton You disobey the Queen's orders and betray us and lost your loyalty and trust to the ocean. You crossed the line with us instead of following your role as Prince of your kingdom and protect the ocean and the creatures" she glares, angrily and swims away with the star in her arms.
But not as furious as Mercutio was. He grabs her arm and pulls her back, trying o snatch the star from her. "If you don't give me the star right now, it will be by force!" he tightens her arms harder and got ready to strike her with his powers.
"LET GO OF HER, TRITON!" a voice yells
They both look to see the Queen herself swimming forward with a few merman guards behind her. Juliet quickly swims to her for protection of the star. The Queen was angry by Triton's actions earlier but now she was furious that he tried to take the star by force from its guardian, her goddaughter.
"You don't deserve to be one of us anymore. You will be exiled from the ocean and be one of the human world with e soul and abilities of a human and no longer have any contact with the sea. You will lose all your powers, the ones you used unwisely instead of protecting your kingdom and the sea. You're punishment will be not have a heart or feeling, only have hate and greed. And you're only wish will be to return to the sea"
(Flashback Ends)
What Queen Cordelia never knew was that from that day she exiled him, Mercutio's wish was not only go back into the sea as a merman, his another wish was have her goddaughter. To have Juliet as his mermaid Queen by all the sick love he's had for her, as a human or mermaid.
"I'm going to catch you, Juliet. And you, the Queen and all the creatures of the ocean will regret all the wrong you've done to me. I will get back to the sea as what I should have been all these years, as a King, the King of the Ocean. And have you as my mermaid Queen, even if I have to kill anybody that is near you. You'll only have me and all the power of the sea. And you will finally see what I'm capable of!" he laughs evilly, out loud.
"WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO, MERCUTIO!?" his conscious cried to him
"With nobody. I was just thinking out loud"
"About capturing that mermaid again?"
"Yes, I'm going to find her even if I have to dry the entire ocean!"
Deep in the dark bottom of the ocean, Juliet swam at full speed swims back to her godmother's castle. Her tail was pushing up and down, making waves of bubbles and she got closer. The mermaid castle was hidden well in the depths of the ocean, it could be said it looks a bit like the underwater city of Atlantis or Atlantica but those are other neighbour kingdoms. Soon, she makes it to the bottom where there was a huge castle where it had a massive glow around it that made it look like daytime which looked beautiful. Mermaids and mermans swam around the "streets" along with the sea creatures as Juliet passed by and waving to them friendly. After all, they did know her as their "princess".
She swam a few more miles until she makes it to the entrance of the castle which 2 merman guards were guarding. One mermam guard swam into a huge throne room where Queen Corddlia was pacing/swimming back in forth, worried.
"Your Majesty, your goddaughter is here to see you" a merman guard informs and bows.
"Very well, send her in"
"As you wish, your highness" he bows and swims away.
A few seconds have passed and Juliet swims in.
"GODMOTHER!"
"Juliet, my girl!" the 2 mermaids hug.
"I thought I never see you again in a long while. It's nighttime but I have been waiting for you all day. There's something I need to tell you"
"Me too, Juliet. But you can tell me first"
"Mercutio tried to capture me this morning. He hired an army of fishermen to catch me in nets and cages, all because he wanted me and the star. When I went to his house to find out what he's up too, I got the most shocking surprise"
"What, my child?"
"He has gills instead of feet and his eyes turn red when he looks in the mirror"
After hearing this, Queen Cordelia thinks for a moment until he knew who Juliet was talking about "Triton" she gasps.
"Triton?!" Juliet asks, by the name sounding familiar
"Yes, Juliet, Mercutio is Triton. Do you remember when you started Mermaid School and there was a merboy who wanted to get close to you?"
"Yeah, I do. A merboy you said I shouldn't be near him but I didn't know why back then"
"Well now you know why I protected you from him. Mercutio is Triton all this time. And I need you to pay very close attention on what I'm going to tell you, Juliet. Since he was a boy, Triton is a merman, the merprince of crabs but by his family's ambition on wanting the star. He was exiled from my kingdom by trying to break in and steal it, even plan to steal it from you when you had it. And now that I see he wants you along with the star, he's turn worst than before. When he was exiled, he lost all his powers and turn into a human. And since then he's been on search for you and the star to turn back to his merman self. With the star and you by his side, he'll have all the power for the ocean because he knows you're the only one with the powers of the star"
"Now I understand everything. Of why he tried to kill Gnomeo, and hurt my family. All because he wanted me because I have the power to the star after all these years"
"Juliet, watch over the star. You need to guard it more than ever. If Triton finds out where you have it, nothing will stop him on getting it. No matter what happens, promise me you won't let it out of your sight, you won't get separated from it. Promise me that"
"I promise, Godmother!" Juliet says serious.
"Well then, I herby name you the official guardian of the star and all the creatures of the sea, we're in your hands" Cordelia said serious and hugs the child.
"I won't let you down, Aunt Cordelia" Juliet smiles and turns to swim away
"I know" Cordelia smiles, having all faith in her goddaughter as she watched her swim back to the surface.
It was still the late hours of the night and Gnomeo was out at the pier, looking for Juliet. He knew she would be out here but didn't think she would stay long. But it was hard to tell where she was since the water was reflection the dark sky and it couldn't see much.
"JULIET! JULIET!" He calls in the distance and the ocean horizon.
He keeps searching the sea and shore until he finally sees Juliet rise up to the surface and she swims toward him and he goes into the water to help her. Once she was on the shore, Juliet changes back into a human.
"Gnomeo! You won't believe what I found out!" she cried, running to him all wet.
Gnomeo ran to her and hugged her "What? What happened?!"
"My godmother told me something horrible!"
"What something about Mercutio?" he asks, worried
"Yes but he's name is Triton!" she cries in panic but confuses him
"Tri-what?"
Triton. And he's a merman!"
"A what?" Gnomeo was shocked more than ever!
"A merman! I'll tell you on the way back, I need to find the star as soon as possible!"
"Wait, hold on, come back here and tell what's going on?! What do you mean Mercutio is a merman?!"
"Yeah, and the worst part is that he's the same merman I met years ago and my mum and godmother told me to stay away from"
"And did you?" He asks, sounding a little jealous.
"Of course I did. It's all clear to me of why he did all those things to us, to you mainly. He needs me because I have the powers of the star. I need to get it"
"Wait, so you're telling me that Mercutio, the guy I've known since I was a kid is secretly a merman"
"Yes, Gnomeo. I am. Or at least I was no thanks to this little mermaid. Now you know who I am" said a sninister voice.
Uh oh! It couldn't be! I cannot be the voice of the person they hated in the world. The both turned around and there he was! Mercutio or more like Triton now.
"Stay away from her, Mercutio" Gnomeo snaps, standing in front of Juliet to protect her.
"No, no, Gnomy boy, if I stay away from her, I won't get what I need and what I want too. So, hand her over"
"Over my dead body" Gnomeo growls.
"That can be arranged since you ran out of chances of living" Mercutio clicks the lock on his gun, ready too shot him once again but this time for gun.
"NO! I won't let you hurt him, Triton!" Juliet stands in front of Gnomeo before Mercutio could get to him. "Gnomeo, GO! Get out of here!" she says to Gnomeo.
"NO, Juliet, I'm not going to let this imbecile maniac hurt you!"
"Why are you so worried? I could never hurt her! I need her and I love her, Gnomy! I would never dream of hurting her. But I could hurt you and much more than that to you"
"NO, YOU DON'T! YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA ON HOW TO LOVE A GIRL LIKE JULIET IS!"
"AND YOU!? YOU THINK YOU DO!? YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE HER! YOU DIDN;T EVEN KNEW SHE EXIXTED OR HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA ON HOW HER POWERS WORKS! BUT I DO!"
"AT LEAST SHE'S HAPPY AND SAFE WITH ME! UNLIKE YOU!"
"STOP IT BOTH OF YOU! I'm NOT GOING TO LET YOU HURT HIM ANYMORE!" Juliet snaps to stop this madness.
"I'll let him go but you're coming with me, my little mermaid princess!" Mercutio smirks with evil and lust and his eyes and grabs her my her arms.
"LET GO OF HER!" Gnomeo snaps and pushed her away from this monster.
"No, Gnomeo! It's useless for him to keep going after you when is me who he wants!" she then turns to Mercutio "If it's me you want, here I am but me and let him go, Triton!"
But Mercutio wasn't stupid "Oh yeah, I'll let you go so you can run back to your lover's arms! NO! YOU'RE COMING WITH ME AND I'LL MAKE SURE YOU NEVER ESCAPE AGAIN!" he wasn't going to fall into her little trap
"NO! Go ahead, throw me in a sac, kidnap me but leave my family out of this!" Juliet yells, nearly crying.
"Of course, I'm going to throw you in the sac because I need you with your tail; you're useless as a human. I need you as a mermaid so your power will work!" Mercutio steps closer to her and pulls her into his grasp by force.
"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER, MERCUTIO!" Gnomeo steps in to pull her way from him, feeling angry and scared for her.
But Mercutio points his gun against Juliet's head and then at him "I'm warning you, Gnomeo. If you even get any ideas on following us, I swear by all the love I have for her, I'll kill her" the sick shark man threats.
"Gnomeo, just go, and take care of Mimi" Juliet sobs, holding onto Mercutio's arm around her neck
Gnomeo had no choice "I will and swear to you, Jules. I'll come back for you. I love you, my Red" he promises and sending her a small smile with love.
"I love you too, my Blue" she smiles with love at him
But it made Mercutio sick "Oh, cut the romantic crap now before I throw up in my mouth, let's go already before I change my mind and kill you now"
Mercutio started dragging Juliet out to the sea again as her tail started to reappear. He had a firm grip on her to she wouldn't get any ideas of escaping with her powers.
Then Mercutio smirks with mischief and stops"Wait, this is all sweat and all but something is missing here... now, what is it that I'm missing... oh yeah!"
*GUNSHOT*
GNOMEO!
Then everything went black for both, the star crossed lovers were under a deep long sleep.
