107. Walking in the Rain

He found her being washed by glistening raindrops on the backdrop of the lake
cold and blue and dark and grey, but she was yellow and smiling and still bright
as though lit up by a lumos charm, and he drifted over to her.

She held her hand out to him and he offered his arm, and together they stood
together: silent, still, in the centre of the storm, and he felt the peace she sought
from there, saw the friends that no-one else save her ever saw

And she noticed that, because she smiled at him and gestured, steering him around the lake
and he followed, walking side by side with the clouds following to drop their icy shower
upon him still, but it was a nice cold, he thought, they thought,
because life'd been burning up inside, and the rain and company could wash
it all away.
