Heyo! So I was going to work on the next chapter of Skittish, but after checking my account, I saw that Pyrrha(c) Victory now has over 200,000 views! After that pleasant surprise, I thought that I should instead write another bonus chapter in celebration. A lot of you asked for part two of The Bet, but I've been struggling to do a girly Pyrrha, so it won't happen right now, but maybe it'll happen at some point. Plus, this idea has been stuck in my head since Jaune mentioned his seven sisters.
I hope you enjoy, and seriously, thanks for reading.
"And so, after hours upon hours of intense wrestling, I finally locked the beast in a vice like grip and choked it out!" Professor Port concluded another one of his long winded stories.
The class, which concluded teams RWBY and JNPR, struggled to hold back a cheer when the bell signalled their release. However, before any of the students could reach the door, the professor cleared his throat. "Before any of you leave, I do have an announcement. Classes will be cancelled this Friday for Beacon's open house. You have the day off and the Ozpin only asks that you behave in front of the prospective students."
Pyrrha was about to brush the news off when she noticed Jaune visibly gulp next to her. She was going to ask what was wrong, but held her tongue, deciding to it would be better when they were alone.
"Open house?" Ruby asked as she and her friends walked through the hall.
"Right, you missed yours because you got skipped ahead suddenly," Yang replied. "It's when the kids that are coming next year get to look around the school for a day. We all came last year."
"Wait, then how did you get lost with me on our first day, Jaune?" Ruby turned to the knight.
"I... actually didn't come. I was already set on Beacon, so I didn't need to be impressed... plus I did sneak my way in, so I was too nervous to come," Jaune nervously laughed.
"I think this is great!" Nora announced. "It'll give me a chance to gauge the fresh meat."
"No," Ren said almost immediately.
"But-" Nora tried to protest.
"No," Ren repeated.
Nora pouted and crossed her arms, but said nothing else.
The two teams retired to their dorms, although it wasn't long until Nora dragged Ren out for a spontaneous date. When they were alone, Pyrrha decided to approach Jaune. "I noticed that you looked concerned in Port's class. Is everything alright?"
Jaune, who was sitting at his desk, looked up with an obviously fake smile. "Yeah, it probably isn't even something to worry about. I'm fine."
Pyrrha frowned at her boyfriend, but didn't say anything else about it. "Well, I'm going to get some dinner, then we'll meet on the roof at the regular time?"
"Yeah, sure," Jaune agreed.
Pyrrha left the room and Jaune turned back to his desk. He was currently writing his weekly letter home, although a bit earlier this time. "I just need to make sure of one thing," the blonde muttered to himself.
The next couple of days went by normally, except for Jaune checking the mail much more often.
"Expecting something good?" Sun asked when Jaune returned to the table in the cafeteria.
"Uh, no, just a letter I'm expecting is a little late," Jaune answered, sitting down.
"No surprise there. With all the students visiting from the other kingdoms, the post office has to be flooded," Weiss commented.
"Right," Jaune grunted.
"On another note, anyone else happy that the week ends tomorrow?" Yang asked.
"Heck ya! I'm totally sleeping in," Ruby chimed in.
"I'm actually going to meet the new students," Blake exclaimed. "I want to make sure that any Faunus' there know that they'll be welcome here. Right, Sun?"
Said monkey Faunus sank in his seat. "Yeah, I guess. I mean, who doesn't want want to wake up early when they don't have too?"
Sun yelped when Blake jabbed him in the side with a fork, causing the others to laugh.
"I'm going to use the extra time to train. Care to join me, Jaune?" Pyrrha offered sweetly.
Jaune rubbed the back of his head and looked away. "I think I'm going to see the new students too. It be nice to see what the open house is like since I didn't go"
"Oh," Pyrrha seemed a little disappointed, but shrugged it off and went back to smiling.
The blonde sighed in relief, happy that know one questioned him further.
The next morning, Jaune got ready and arrived at the docks in time for the ships carrying next years students. The goofball scanned the crowd intensely until a voice startled him out of it. "Nice to know that there's no shortage of those who want to protect Remnant, huh?"
Jaune turned to see Blake and a grumpy looking Sun.
"Uh, yeah! Well, um, now that I've seen them, I think I'm going to get some lunch."
I think I'm safe this year, Jaune thought to himself. However, before he could even take three steps, the knight was suddenly side tackled, with his only warning being someone shouting "Jaune!".
Blake and Sun, who was now wide awake looked down to find Jaune being hugged by what looked like a smaller and more feminine version of himself. Sun was about to say something, but his attention focused on Blake, who whipped out her scroll and was frantically typing a message.
Yang, who felt all cozy in her bed and was dreaming up something that was definitely going in the journal, was glad to have the day off so that she could sleep in. That is, until her scroll started to ring. Grumbling about how she was going to murder anyone who dared to interrupt her beauty sleep, the brawler reached over and grabbed the device, reading over the message. After she finished scanning the words, her eyes snapped wide open as she leaped off her bed. "Ruby! Weiss! Get up! Get ready! Meet me by the school entrance!"
Ruby yelped and tumbled off her suspended bed, startling her white haired companion awake. Before either could say, or yell, in Weiss' case, anything to Yang, the blonde was already out of the room and knocking on the door opposite from theirs. "Ren! Nora! Go get Pyrrha and meet us at the school entrance."
About ten minutes later, the hastily dressed hunter and huntresses in training headed to the docks, after fetching Pyrrha and meeting up with Neptune, who said something about Sun sending him a vague message. When they arrived, they saw Blake and Sun standing with Jaune, who had a girl clinging to him while chatting excitedly. Flames erupted in Pyrrha's eyes as she started to stomp towards her apparently unfaithful boyfriend. However, she stopped when she got a better look at the girl. She wore a brown vest over an orange shirt as well a brown skirt over black pants that were tucked into knee high combat boots. What Pyrrha noticed though was the remarkable resemblance she had to Jaune. Said knight looked away from the girl to see his other friends and sighed deeply. "Hey guys. This is my sister, Julie."
The girl, identified as Julie, released Jaune from her grip and waved excitedly. "Hello!"
"So this is one of your sisters, huh?" Yang looked the girl over. "Wait, Julie? Jaune? What are your other sisters names?"
"Judy, Jane, Jenny, Joanne, Jessica and Jamie," Jaune answered, anticipating the question.
"And what were your parents names?" Yang pressed, her grin growing wider.
"Joseph and Debra."
Yang's grin dropped. "Well that killed it."
"Is Jaune the oldest?" Nora asked, turning to Julie.
"Yep! And he's the greatest big brother ever!"
"Oh? And what did he do to earn that title?" Ren raised an eyebrow.
"Well, for one example, Jaune always let us put make up on him so that he could play princesses with us."
Jaune blushed as his friends started to laugh. Julie had a cross look on her face, not happy that anyone would laugh at her brother. Pyrrha, seeing this as an opportunity to get on the good side of another member of Jaune's family, stepped in. "Well I think only a real man would put his dignity after his sister's happiness."
The smile returned to Julie's face. "Well said. I'm glad there's at least one person here who can recognize greatness."
The others looked away shyly to avoid the young blondes dirty look. Jaune cleared his throat. "So Julie, what brings you here?"
"I wanna come to Beacon, silly," Julie replied enthusiastically. "If this school is good enough for you, then I wanna learn here too!"
"Greaaaaat," Jaune said through his teeth.
"I wanted to come with mom and dad when they visited you, but they said no because if they took me, then they'd have to take everyone else and it would be too much trouble, but knew I would go to the same school as the toughest warrior I knew. I'm so excited to look around. I read all of your letters and I-" Julie stopped and turned to the rest of the group with a dark look. "That reminds me. Which one of you is Pyrrha?"
The others stepped away from Pyrrha as the Spartan gulped. She must have learned that look from her mother. "I-I am."
"And what makes you think you're good enough for Jaune?"
"W-well I..." Pyrrha struggled to form a sentence.
"N-now Julie, Pyrrha is a really great person," Jaune stepped between the two girls.
"How do you know she won't hold you back?" Julie narrowed her eyes.
Jaune almost laughed at the irony. "She's at the top of our class."
"So?" Julie crossed her arms.
"She won the Mistral regional three times in a row."
"The what?"
"She's... on the front of the Pumpkin Pete's box?"
Julie's eyes went wide as she gasped. "Holy crap! That's you!? I always knew that Jaune would land a trophy wife."
Pyrrha's eye twitched. "Trophy wife?"
"Ah ha ha, you're so funny Julie. Why don't we go see the classrooms?" Jaune ushered Julie away from his girlfriend.
"OK!" Julie replied as she grabbed her brother's arm and dragged him along.
Weiss, Ren, Nora and Neptune waved goodbye and went to get some breakfast as the others caught up to the siblings. "Wow, she sure idolizes you," Ruby whispered to her fellow leader.
"Yeah, a few years ago, some kids were giving trouble and I kind of got them to stop after getting into a fight with them. She's looked up to me ever since."
Pyrrha and Ruby aww'd as Yang clapped him on the shoulder. "Wow, didn't think you had that in you, Vomit Boy."
"What did you call him?" Julie's look went dark again.
"Nothing!" Yang replied as she backed up.
"So shouldn't you be happy that she's trying to follow in your footsteps?" Sun asked.
"Don't get me wrong," Jaune whispered even more quietly, "I love her, but she can be pretty embarrassing."
"So how may Grimm have you killed, Jaune?" Julie asked with big eyes.
"Um... not many, I mean..." Jaune started.
"What about that Ursa Major you slayed single handily?" Ruby chirped in.
"An Ursa Major!?" Julie exclaimed.
"He also led us into a battle against against a Deathstalker, which found its way over a cliff," Pyrrha added.
"I bet you were glad that he was there to save your ass," Julie waved Pyrrha off.
"Actually Pyrrha-" Jaune tried to interrupt.
"Hey, I pulled my own weight," Pyrrha snapped.
"Which is probably more than the rest of Jaune's team."
"What is that suppose to mean!?"
"I think you know what it means."
"What is your problem!?"
"My problem is that I don't care how famous you are, Jaune doesn't need you. You're nothing more than a pretty face."
"Well why don't I show you how good I can be in a fight?"
"Fine, let's go then!"
"Fine! I'll go get my equipment and we'll meet in the arena in fifteen minutes."
"Sounds good to me!"
Pyrrha started to stomp towards the locker room when Jaune grabbed her arm with a groan. The Spartan turned to see that he also grabbed Julie. "Do you guys think you can work it out?"
"Not for this harlot. Come on Jaune, show me where the arena is." Julie stormed off.
Pyrrha started again, but Jaune cut her off. "If you have to do this, I should let you know that she inherited a lot more combat talent from our parents than I did."
"Don't worry Jaune. I'll end this quickly," Pyrrha replied in her creepily sweet voice as she walked off.
"Of course you will," Jaune sank to his knees.
"Wow, that sucks," Sun commented as he leaned over the blonde knight, who only shot him a scowl.
I'm going to do part two of this as soon as I can and then we'll be back to Skittish. As always, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks again!
