112. Tumbling On
He'd been the first to find the place
and she'd been the first to follow, weeks later
while his body whined at the lack of company
and hers cried from her abuse.
Things went both up and down from there
until more people came, a month after at least,
but for that time they were alone they created
a tale that shouldn't escape those walls.
It was stress, they said afterwards, stress
and foolishness, that they should've hung
out on the washing line and resisted
instead of getting tangled within
But with only the two of them, two friends
in there and both of them hurting, craving
what else was there to do but find solace
in each other?
And after they'd made love one night
they couldn't stop
until the third person came.
