Redsnidget: Hey Everyone! Thanks for all reviews and encourage me to keep this story going. I'm glad to lets you all know I probably would update TWO chapters for this Toriko story before Christmas week come. So consider this your Christmas present for being such a awesome fan for this story!
Now, I've a question for you all...Who do you think Kai should be paired up with? And why should she be paired up with? I need a good reason if you guys want a romantic moments with this character. It would give me a good brain storming to type it out pretty clearly and great for this story!
"Ngh…" The heroine slowly open her usual icy blue eyes to wince slightly at the bright light till she saw a shadow person came in her vision to block out the bright light behind it as she notice the familiar shape belong to Mansam.
"You finally awake." Mansam smirks softly, didn't' drink any alcohol.
"Is everyone alright?" Kai asked, rubbing her eyes to get rid of blurry vision.
The chief nods in her response then study her body to see her injuries that was wrapped around her chest full bind as he lift his eyes up to study Kai for a moments. "You've grown…"
Kai pauses for a moment to rub her eyes as she removes her hand away to give Mansam the irate looks. "And it takes you that longer to notice?"
"Hey, it's the alcohol." The Chief wave his hand back and forth, not care about it, "I'm surprise that you came back after all, since that day. Ricky been missin' ya a lot and keep searching for you in your room before till he stopped."
"I know…I just have to get the hell out of here and I don't regret that day." She smirked softly at those memories.
"It's that Chef isn't?" Mansam asked, raise one eyebrow, and notice Kai's expression makes him to speak more, "He told me and the gang about how you two first meet. I must say I'm proud of ya." He chortled.
"Yeah…I know there's something special about him that I just have to kick those bullies ass and protect him to my best ability." Kai smiles softly, "Say where is Natsu? I've not seen him around.."
"Ah, him. He've been released in the Gourmet world since that's where he is right now."
"Really? Damn. I guess I've to go and see him someday when it happens." Kai pouts slightly.
"I'm sure you will one day, I've to get the Jewel meat prepared since today, and we're going to eat it." Mansam grinned then start to get out of this room to lets the others enter in to see how the heroine is.
"Hey," The red haired called out cause Mansam to pauses and turn around in curious, "Thank for everything, old man."
Mansam chortles loudly, "See you later, Reed!" and he left, laughing in the hallway.
"Goddamnit, I hate that name.." Kai twitch her left eye as soon she cleared her face in surprise by Komatsu barrage into the room wailing her name, soon the three Heavenly Kings and Rin came inside shout out her name in happiness to see their red haired heroine is doing alright.
"Alright! Kai-chan is better!" Sunny cheered, threw his both hand up in the air, "Everyone, the true food has arrive! The jewel meat!"
"Damn, I can't wait to taste those!" Toriko complained, grinned.
"Same here." Kai agreed grins as she slowly flips off the blanket to get up.
"Oi, don't push yourself too far, Miss Kai." Coco starts to fret over Kai.
Chief's Room:
"Garana eel…pickled in Shochu?"
"Yeah, it's been pickled for two full years. Alcohol content is sixty-five percent." Mansam grinned sip the shot, "It's a delicacy." He watches the person who drinks it to taste it.
"M~~~m….It has a taste like Tiger testicles…and it has a little of a Bitter taste of medical herbs…All the pores on my body are opening at once and my body's warming up…it's exactly like herbal medicine. Mmmm, Delicious." IGO Vice President Shigematsu spoken. He is a very large, muscular man with a big, black beard and mustache and thick, black hair with a stripe of white hair down the middle. His typical attire consist of a black sleeveless v neck and laced shirt, green pants tuck inside knee high laced boots and a white cape. He keeps one eye closed at all times, as well as a nose plug over the bridge of his nose.
"How come you couldn't get permission to release Zebra?" Mansam asked, sip his drink, "Shige-san."
"You can't get that problem child out so easily…the one who decided to arrest him, Director Gras, has to worry about losing face, too…"
"If that Zebra guy has been there this time the protection of the mammoth would've been easier, though.." Mansam start to disagreed but cut off by Shigematsu.
"Toriko and others were plenty; they did it, didn't they? Though they suffered some bad wounds."
The Chief burst out in a laugh, "Around now, everyone's gonna be eating the Jewel meat. They'll definitely be all better!"
"More than that, there's a problem.." Shigematsu stared at Mansam, "About the GT Robo that didn't self-destruct…It's very likely the Bishokukai will come and try to recover it."
Mansam grinned, "Shige-san, is the reason you came yourself because of that? I don't know if anyone will come to try and take it back, but…" He snickered. "In any event, it's my job from here."
Night has came, in the large dining room, everyone is seated and waiting patiently for the main serving, the Jewel meat to be served as they quietly chatting to each other while sipping their drinks with a smiles on their face, feel accomplish by what they've done today.
The waiter arrives with a giant plate to set down on the table, "Sorry for keeping you waiting so long. The Jewel meat is served.
"UHYAA! IT'S HERE!" The Glutton cheered.
"Kyaaa, lovely~" Rin squealed.
"Th…this is…jewel meat…" the small chef start to tears and smiles brightly
"It's so radiant.." The Gentleman gasp softly by the glowing sight of it
"U..U…" Sunny choked back a tear and cover his mouth, 'BEAUTIFUL…'
"Wao…I can't wait…" Kai licked her mouth. "It's like the moon's light has grown dim…" She frown as she notice how bright this place is since they're on top of the roof to enjoy the nighttime. "It's like it's daytime only here…"
"Of course, this alone could illuminate the entire inside of that giant mammoth's body…" Toriko explains.
Sunny gasped and look at Toriko, "Toriko! Your skin is sparkling so much…"
Toriko grins at him, "Yeah, I was one step ahead in the mammoth's body and took care of the true food."
"I KNEW IT!"
"When I went to the toilet before, even my poop was glittery!"
"Really!? Then shut up, that's freaking disgusting!"
"Really Toriko?! You have to go say that…" Kai groaned, make a face.
"Before we're about to eat, Toriko-san…" Komatsu start to agreed with Kai on this situation.
'Toriko's poop…' Rin start to blush.
'No style…' Coco sighed and shakes his head.
"ANYWAY…Are we going to eat?" the heroine asked, try to shake that disturbing glittery thought.
"ITADAKIMASU!" Everyone clap their hands in thanks for the meal. Then grab the fork and knife to grab the jewel meat off the giant plates to start working their way.
"Haa..Ra-Radiant…but it's a gentle light, like a incandescent lamp.." Komatsu eyes the meat in awe before start to cut them into a piece, 'Wa~ the meat juice shooting up like fireworks!' the chef noticed before pick up the piece to take it inside of his mouth to salvage this.
'MMM~~ Amazing…even with the appearance this gorgeous…a completely plain actual meat taste is filling my mouth..' He chews more, 'This is! Its has a crunchy consistency like a heart…in every bite the meat juice keeps coming out and its completely light tasting.' He swallows it to notice his skin glow brightly.
'Amazing! My whole body is glowing! It's like each of my cells are sparkling with delight!' He can't stand it to shout out toward his Blue haired glutton friend.
"Amazing isn't it Toriko-san!" He starts to yelp, eye popped out in startled, "WAAAHH! You're really super bright!"
Indeed, Toriko is glowing very brightly than Komatsu due to many dirty plate beside him as he continues to eating happily, "Nuuu~ This part is…It's the liver! It's got a texture like liver sashimi! But the smell and Fragrances are not like that at all!" Toriko chews more, "It's really a creamy taste!"
Rin took a bite to clasp her face to wiggles slightly, "Nnnnn~ This has the richness of boned rib~ This texture feels like the piled up meat and fat are coming apart inside my mouth. This is totally the best!"
The Gentleman King has to agreed, "Oh, the Sirloin's come. It melted in my mouth in a moment. There's a lot of grease but with its smoothness the feeling of it going down my throat is nice."
"Its amazing..Its like taste and texture and the parts in one place." Kai comments as she was glowing brightly along with other, smiling as she chews. "This is like a carnival."
"Terry! Here, you eat some, too!" Toriko turns around to face Terry who bark happily, "It's good!"
"ROOO" Obsaurus whines, want some too.
"Ooh! Obsaurus, you can have some, too!" Toriko chuckled, toss some meat toward the Obsaurus who happily chew some with Terry.
Coco start to offer some meat to his loyal Crow, "Eat some, Kiss."
"CAW!"
"Fuuu…" Toriko sighed happily after drank some wine to stare at the full moon, "Well..I've decided…"
"What'd ya say, Toriko?" Sunny was radiant to maximum, even outshine everyone in the radiant.
"WHOA! Sunny! You're really radiant!" Kai gasped, eye widen at that sight.
"A-Amazing, Sunny-san! You're shining the brightest!" Komatsu gasped.
"Big brother, aweso…" Rin paused then start to get jealous by Sunny's radiant, she want to be shining brightly in the eye of Toriko! Not her brother since Toriko eyes Sunny with awe also.
'At the same time his body started radiating, the electromagnetic waves…Sunny is giving out got stronger…Maybe Sunny's 'Gourmet Cells' are really compatible with the jewel meat…' Coco noticed as he ponders that question.
"Hey Toriko.." Sunny took another bites to asked, "What were you just sayin'?"
"What do you mean 'what were you sayin?'" Toriko blinked.
"You say something was 'decided' didn't you?"
"Yeah…This is the only meat that…I thought 'It'd be fine to put in.'" Toriko grinned.
Sunny narrow his eyes at the glutton King, "By 'it'd be fine to put in.'…What do you mean?"
"As my full course's meat dish" Toriko exclaimed as his Sign of Jewel meat slowly went to the Meat Dish on Toriko's list.
"Wa! Toriko-san!" Komatsu and Rin cheered at this idea till..Sunny kick the Sign away before it touch Toriko's list.
"WAIT A SEC!"
"WHAA…!?" The group gasped at what Sunny have done before Toriko start to yelled at the Third King.
"What're you doin' Sunny, HEY!"
"Don't say 'What're you doing' Don't be so hasty!"
"I'm not being hasty at all!"
"Then look at my radiance!"
The group blinks at the bickering between Toriko and Sunny, wondering what Sunny is going on about.
"Yeah…It's awesome…So?" Toriko blinked in puzzled and frown slightly.
"Don't you get it?!" Sunny sighed then thrust his thumb at himself, "The Jewel meat clearly seems like something I'd choose, doesn't it!?"
"Seems like…? What's your point?" Toriko huffed, still don't get what Sunny is trying to tell.
"Could it be..Big brother…" Rin start to get what her big brother is saying as Coco blinks,
"Sunny…you…"
"I've decided on the Jewel meat..As my Main dish!" Sunny declared it as the Sign of the Jewel meat slowly went to Sunny's main dish's empty slot…till Toriko slapped it away harshly.
"HANG ON, KORAAAA!"
And thus Sunny and Toriko start to fight each other about who going to get that sign in their menu till Komatsu weakly point out.
"Um…Wouldn't it be okay for both of you to out jewel meat in your full courses…?"
"NO WAY!" Toriko and Sunny barked at Chef who stammered out in surprise, "W..Why not!?"
"There's somethin' I don't like about have overlapping ingredients!"
"What reason is that…? It's fine, isn't it? There's nothing..?" Kai pointed out.
"No way Kai-chan! This is about pride; It'll be my meat dish!"
"No! My main!"
"NO!"
"I agree with it being Toriko's Meat dish~~" Rin chimed in.
"You're noisy, Rin, Shaddap!" Sunny shouted at his sister.
Coco sighed and shake his head at them, "That's enough..Let's just eat, Miss Kai, Komatsu-kun."
"Yeah, You're right, Coco-san." Komatsu agreed, decided to lets them fight it over.
"More meat for us anyway!" Kai smirks then grab the leftover of Jewel meat to start to eat them happily.
