120. After Break
He led alone after break, because she'd been snatched
before that break even began.
He wanted her back, wanted her back
more than anything, but it was hard to struggle so hard
alone, and
without hope
Ginny was fine; he knew that, but Luna? He didn't know.
All he remembered was the terrified expression on her face
as she was dragged out of sight, and it was so hard
not to cry at that expression that shouldn't be
on her face
And their resistance, so brave and full of colour in those initial days
was so fragile now, crashing into smaller and smaller pieces
like glass shards bouncing about
But it was the cause they'd all struggled for,
and he had to hope.
At least he hadn't seen his worst fears
with her: the body tortured by that painful curse
until all sanity and recognition
like his parents
fled.
