127. Not Worth It
I'm not going to lie to you.
I love you;
even though I shouldn't,
I love you.
That's probably the most stupid and clichéd thing
I've ever said, and in front of you that looks even worse
but it's the truth.
Not that it'll do any good:
you're not worth the dirt on my shoes
in my family's eyes, but you're still
Something else.
You're always ranting on about the unfairness too,
and now that I've fallen in love,
I know it really is unfair.
Maybe you'll be one of those women
who change the world: a woman with the vision
you own, and the strength to back it up
But, even then, it wouldn't be worth falling in love
with you, because I'd be either a disgrace
or dead.
It's a shame, because you're too beautiful to be drowned
in blood, and too clever, but death has a way of getting everyone
including you.
