"So how do we do this?" Caroline asked the three Original vampires that were standing in front of her. It was the day after Klaus had told her that there were going to Seville and their flight would leave in the evening. Only Klaus and Caroline were going and Caroline had felt the nervousness build up inside her ever since she'd woken that morning.

Now, they had to tackle Marcel. Marcel couldn't know that Klaus was trying to undertake him with help from Caroline as it would bring both the plan and her in danger, so now they had to explain why Caroline was leaving the country with the Original hybrid. It was important that Marcel still trusted her when she came back so now they had to come up with a plan on how to convince him that Caroline had nothing to do with the Originals, except for needing their help to take down Silas.

"You go back to your hotel room and start packing. Marcel will come to you." Elijah told her calmly.

"He knows where I'm staying?" Caroline said with a nervous voice.

"Marcel knows everything, love." Klaus said and his eyes showed his concern.

Caroline knew Marcel was outside on her balcony before she turned around to face him. She had been waiting for him while she slowly packed her suitcase. Her face was full of fake surprise, when she "randomly" looked out on the balcony.

She quickly opened the doors and let him in with a smile on her face. He was smiling too but it didn't seem to reach his eyes.

"Marcel. What are you doing here? How do you know where I live?" she said and tried sounding as relaxed as possible.

"I heard a little bird sing. You are going somewhere?" Marcel asked with a secretive look in his eyes.

"You had me followed, didn't you?" Caroline asked and crossed her arms.

"This is my city, Caroline. I always know what's going on. So when a beautiful leggy woman walks in with a daylight ring on her finger, I'll make sure to know everything about her." Marcel said and leaned towards her.

Caroline didn't flinch and made sure not to look scared in any way. She had to show him that she had nothing to hide.

"He will confront you about seeing you with us and you will tell him the truth." Elijah said and looked Caroline in the eyes. "He will know if you're lying so you need to stay as close to the truth as possible and keep calm."

"I guess you're wondering why I've been talking to the Mikaelsons." Caroline said and raised her eyebrows in question. She could see the surprise in his eyes. He probably wasn't used to people going straight to the point. Especially if he thought they were hiding something.

"I'm just curious. I thought you didn't know them." Marcel said casually and leaned against the doorframe between her room and the balcony.

"I didn't. But I came here to find them. I need their help." she said and shrugged her shoulders. Marcel moved away from the doorframe and closer to her. Caroline was standing by her bed, where her suitcase laid wide open.

"Their help? The Mikaelsons don't help anyone but their own." Marcel said and looked at her with narrow eyes full of suspicion.

"They will if their own lives are in danger. If their family is threatened, they will help." Caroline told him and she immediately noticed how his interest was sparked.

"And how is that?" he asked.

"You ever heard of Silas? He is a two-thousand year old vampire and his only mission is to bring hell on this earth. Sooner or later he will be coming for the second most powerful being on this planet: Niklaus Mikaelson. Silas is stronger than anything you can ever imagine and if we don't stop him, we'll all be dead soon enough." Caroline told him in a slow voice. Marcel moved even closer to her and was now looking down at her with a dangerous smile on his face.

"What if he doesn't believe me? If something happens, I won't be able to fight him. I'm not strong enough." Caroline said and looked every one of them in the eyes.

"But I am. I will be right outside, love." Klaus told her in a reassuring voice.

"No." Caroline said with a decisive look in her eyes and met Klaus' glare. "It can't be you, Klaus. You're way too reckless and impulsive. I need someone, who can keep calm and think rationally. I need… Rebekah." Caroline said the Original's name with a sigh.

"So I'm going to be babysitter again? What about Elijah?" Rebekah protested from the sofa. It wasn't like Caroline was happy to lay her life in Rebekah's hands but in the end she was the one who could keep Caroline and everyone else safe.

"I need a woman, Rebekah. I need someone who knows when and if Marcel crosses a line but also understands that I can handle myself in certain situations. Most of all I need someone who doesn't rip Marcel's heart out as soon as he touches me." Caroline said without removing her eyes from Rebekah. They all knew who Caroline was talking about but none of them said a thing.

"So you expect me to just sit here while my little sister, who loathes you, holds your life in her hands?" Klaus asked and moved towards her. A small protest came from Rebekah but it didn't matter much as they all knew that Klaus was right.

Caroline closed the last space between them and placed her index finger on Klaus' chest. "I don't expect anything from you but if you ever want to be "King" of this city, you'll do exactly that." Caroline hissed, making Klaus' face darken. They stared at each other until Elijah suddenly cleared his throat and Caroline moved away. Rebekah had a smile on her lips and the look in her eyes told Caroline that she was impressed.

"And how do you know all of this? I've lived for over a century and I've never heard about a two-thousand year old vampire named Silas. For your own sake, you should tell me the truth." Marcel said with a warning voice. Caroline's heart rate fastened a little and a smile appeared on Marcel's face. He was just like Klaus; he loved when people quaked with fear in his presence.

"I am telling you the truth. Silas has been asleep ever since he became a vampire but now he is loose. I've been following his trail ever since my own encounter with him and I learned that the Original family had already dealt with him once and had succeeded. But he's back now and he needs to be stopped. All I had to do was to tell Klaus that he was no longer the most powerful creature in the world to make him agree to help." Caroline answered with a calm voice and she sensed how Marcel's suspicion slowly disappeared.

"And why is such a gorgeous creature like you chasing this powerful vampire? What will you get from this?"

"Revenge. Silas killed my friends and now I'm gonna make him pay." Caroline said with convincing voice. Silas hadn't exactly killed any of her friends but it was because of him Bonnie's powers got out of control and killed her. And it was him, who had Stefan stored away somewhere they couldn't find him. Caroline refused to believe that her friend was dead. He couldn't be.

"And where are you going now?" Marcel asked and looked at her suitcase.

"To Italy with Klaus. There is apparently someone there who can help us." Caroline lied. This was as far from the truth she could go without revealing herself and she could see that Marcel believed her.

"So you will go to Italy with Klaus, alone." Marcel asked with a cunning smile on his lips.

"Jealous?" Caroline teased and sent him a flirting smile. Marcel suddenly grabbed Caroline's chin and dragged her towards his face. Caroline relaxed her face and looked him straight in the eyes. He moved closer to her and in what seemed as the last second; he placed his mouth against her ear instead of on her lips and whispered:

"You don't have any power over me, Caroline. But if you help me, I will let you use all of your little tricks on me, when you get back and perhaps one day, I'll make you my queen. But know that one way or another, I will have you."

Caroline had a hard time hiding her fear as he moved away from her but she relaxed a little, when she saw Rebekah standing on her balcony over Marcel's shoulder. The blonde Original was standing completely still and didn't make a sound. Caroline forced a smile on her face and sent Marcel a flirting look.

"And what can I do for you, my leech?" Caroline asked and curtsied before him like she had in the Jazz Club. A wide smile appeared on his face and Caroline knew that he thought she was ready to do almost anything to be his "queen".

"I need you to seduce Klaus." Marcel said with a plain voice. Caroline had to stop herself from laughing out loud and instead just showed Marcel a smile as wide as his own.

"You're kidding me, right?" Caroline asked in an attempt to sound offended. She was offended though, but not in the way she wanted Marcel to believe. He thought she was offended by the fact that she had to seduce Klaus, when she wanted Marcel, but in fact she was just tired of being the distraction once again. "And why would I do that?"

"I need to know his weaknesses. He is too big a threat to me and I need to get rid of him. You don't have a problem with that, do you?" Marcel asked, once again suspicious.

"None at all. As soon as he has helped me, he's yours. But I thought you two were friends?" Caroline said with her arms crossed in front of her, leaning slightly away from Marcel.

"We are. But this is my city now and I won't let anybody wander in and just take it. Not even the Original hybrid. And I must say that I like your style; use him and then toss him. We'll make a great pair." Marcel said and winked at her.

"Okay, I'll do it. But I expect some sort of payment." she said as she let her finger glide over his breast and down over the stomach. She felt the nausea in her throat as she sent him another flirting smile and he leaned towards her again.

"I'll make sure of that myself." Marcel answered before – to Caroline's relief – turning around and walking out on the empty balcony. "Bon voyage, Caroline." and then he was gone.

If vampires could throw up, she would have run to the toilet immediately but instead she was stuck with the nausea. She closed her eyes as she sat down in front of her bed in order to calm her nerves. For half an hour, she was completely alone with her own thoughts and the silence.

Caroline didn't even open her eyes as Rebekah stepped into the room and finished packing for her. None of them said a thing but something about Rebekah's presence stopped Caroline from falling to pieces. Caroline opened her eyes, when she smelt the blood and saw Rebekah squat in front of her with a blood bag in her hands. Caroline smiled gratefully as Rebekah placed in her lap and Caroline immediately started sucking the blood in her.

"Nik will meet you at the airport in an hour. There will be a driver waiting for you, when you get down. Good luck, Caroline."

And then Caroline was alone once more.

A/N: Hope you liked this chapter!:) And if you got confused by the jump in time, when something is written in cursive: they're flashbacks. Instead of writing 'flashback', I do it this way:)
Please tell me what you think!:) And I would love to hear your ideas about what you think will happen in Spain;)

Remember that 'my' Marcel is quite different from 'The Originals' Marcel so he might seem OOC for some of you:)
