133. We Need to Talk
He loved her, he really did
but it was so hard to stay with her
when she looked somewhere else
And he'd have to be blind to not notice it
even if he tried to be
Because she did love him, try to love him
but she loved someone more,
that same someone she'd loved since the beginning
and the clichéd end.
He couldn't even be mad, because he'd known that
when he'd asked her out, and he'd known that
when he took her hand
and kissed her
But it just wouldn't work, wasn't working
and he needed to stop this now
before things went too far
and someone got hurt.
He'd never stop loving her though
and she was a good friend he doubted
would just forget her too,
but love was such a fickle thing
that you could feel for everyone
but have only room for one
And that one wasn't him.
