She held Rinan in her arms as the pair sought comfort in each other. Even though the man lying lifeless on the ground want her Rogue he was still her son's father and he still saved their lives.
Her eyes widened as a gold light engulfed Future Rogue's body, causing him to disappear from sight.
"W-what happened...where did he go?" She asked as she turned to face Rinan.
Rinan placed a hand on her arm in a comforting manner.
"He was a time anomaly and now it has been corrected" Rinan explained.
She stared at him confused before turning back to spaced where his body once was.
"I don't understand..." She muttered sadly.
"He's gone back to his own time period..." He stated.
She gently released Rinan from her embrace her dark orbs searching his own.
"So will you go back now?" She asked softly.
He nodded slightly before placing his arms on her shoulders.
"Yes. Aunt Lucy's spell was only to last once my mission was complete...and I doubt I have much time left" he added with a small frown.
She wrapped her arms round him once more, a soft sigh escaping her.
"I'm going to miss you, Rinnie" she muttered against his neck.
He gave her a small smile, one that mirrored Rogues and she couldn't help but return her own.
"Don't worry you'll meet me soon" he told her with a knowing a smirk.
She smiled before she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders and she turned to see Natsu and Lucy standing next to her.
"So you'll be leaving?" Lucy asked as she turned to Rinan.
Rinan nodded once more, though a loud metallic thud was heard, and Rinan staggered forward slightly revealing Erza to be stood behind him with Gray by her side.
"It was an honor to fight by your side" The redhead declared.
"You have some skills...maybe you can put to good use in Fairy Tail" Gray added with a smirk. Rinan blushed slightly at the comment causing Rissy to smile.
Lavender ran up to the dark haired teen and wrapped her paws round his legs.
"We'll miss you Rinan" Lavender added with sad eyes.
She watched the scene with a smile, the team Natsu members giving Rinan their goodbyes and she honestly felt a bit sad that he was leaving. She turned to find Sting and Rogue next to her, Rogue placed an arm round her waist while Sting leant against her shoulder.
Rinan gave Rogue a nod of appreciation, and she noticed how a small smile graced the teens lips.
"Look after her" Rinan said with the smile still evident.
Rogue smiled at the teen before bringing Rissy's body closer to his own and she smiled at the contact.
"Don't worry I'll make sure of it" Sting remarked which caused her to chuckle slightly.
He smiled before petting her between the ears and Rissy noted how his body was starting to emit a white - gold light.
"Look after yourself Rinnie" she told him.
He nodded and turned to give the group a final wave before his body was engulfed by the light and he was gone.
They all stared at the space where he was once stood for a few short minutes before Natsu broke the silence,
"You okay?" She asked.
She gently bit her bottom lip before glancing towards her brother. Rogue gently squeezed her side and she pressed her head against his shoulder.
"I guess...but it's strange..." She muttered though the memory of Rogue dying in front of her caused her to attempt to choke back a sob.
Natsu nodded in understanding, Lucy leaning closer towards him, whilst Rogue pulled him closer towards him.
"It was good...what he did" She stated causing all sets of eyes to land on her.
Rissy smiled at the blonde, she was both strong, smart and forgiving.
"fro thinks so too" the exceed added which caused Rissy to smile.
Once the light faded Rinan found himself standing in South Gate park, he hadn't been there for a while and the sun filtering down on his skin was a nice feeling.
He turned to see two exceeds flying towards him and he smiled at the sight of Frosch and Lavender.
"We've been looking for you" Lavender stated as she softly landed on the ground.
Frosch nodded in agreement with a wide smile, the green exceed always sported a smile on its face even in the darkest of times.
"So Aunt Lucy's at the guild?" Rinan asked though he feared that things hadn't changed despite his efforts.
Lavender frowned before turning to Frosch, though the green exceed just frowned in confusion.
"No it's-"
There was a shuffling noise to his left, the kind heard when feet scraped against the ground distracted him and his eyes widened as the form of a slender woman entered his sight.
"Rinnie, when you take a walk at least let your mother know..." a voice cooed and turning Rinan was almost brought to tears at the sight of his mother, a wide smile across her lips and dark eyes glinting with excitement.
A smile crossed his own lips as his father appeared beside her, he draped his arms across his mother's shoulders and she smiled warmly at him.
"I guess your mother never taught you it was rude to stare..." his father muttered, causing his mother to playfully hit his father in the chest.
Rinan smiled at the scene, his parents were back, Magnolia back to normal and that was enough to convince him that everything was going to be alright.
He liked times like these, when he could hold her and just sit with her. He was content to just stay with her in his arms and just lie with her in bed all day. The early morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, giving her tousled hair a golden glow. He admired how the sheets were gathered round her slender form, only giving him a slight glimpse of her bare tanned skin though he couldn't help but reminisce on the feel of it underneath his fingers and tongue the night before.
She gently stirred in front of him, her body turning slightly as she started on chasing the sleep away from her body. She turned to face him, though he was slightly disappointed that the sheets obscuring his view of her body.
"Morning..." She muttered with an added yawn.
He smiled at her before pressing a gentle kiss against her lips.
"I don't mind waking up like this" she said with a grin.
He smiled at that before wrapping an arm around her waist and causing her to squeal slightly as he pulled her to his side. He placed her half on his chest and she snuggled against him, with her hair tickling his chest.
"You okay?" He asked after a short silence.
She shuffled slightly so she could face him, her wide eyes searching his own before she cast her eyes downward. He places a hand on her back and started on rubbing circles in her skin.
"What's wrong?" He asked after she didn't answer.
She clutched the sheet closer to her chest, and moved so that she sitting on his stomach.
"You would...you would die for me.." She whispered softly.
He frowned slightly at her statement. Though he was sure that he had told her of the depth of his own feelings to her, and on more than one occasion.
"Of course I would. I love you Clarissa" he told her.
She nodded with her gaze still lowered, he placed a hand underneath her chin to force her to look up at him and her dark gaze met his own.
"But I don't want to lose you...I want you by my side" she said.
He smiled at her before shifting so he was sitting up, the movement causing her to slide onto his lap.
"You won't lose me I-" he told her firmly.
"I watched you fucking die Rogue...and I can't just forget that!" she exclaimed as the tears started to fall.
His eyes widened as she started to sob, never had he seen Rissy so vulnerable and broken. He shifted forward slightly and started on kissing away the falling tears.
"You know I would never leave you.." He said softly.
She sniffed slightly before laughing.
"That's such a corny thing to say" She said with a smile.
He smiled before pressing their foreheads together.
"But its true" he told her with a smile.
She nodded before leaning forward and pressing a kiss to the scar on the bridge of his nose.
"I know...but I'm serious Rogue don't ever leave me" she told him, her dark eyes searching his.
He nodded though a shudder went through his spine at her serious tone.
"I wouldn't count on it" he answered.
She nodded before the sheet covering her body slipped off and pooled around them, enticing a low growl from him.
"Such a tease..." He muttered before swooping down to capture her lips.
He could feel her grinning against the kiss almost smugly as she started on running her fingers through his hair.
"Only for you"
So that's the 'Rinan Arc' over Rinan's gone back to his present with both parents alive and Rissy has finally come to terms with Future Rogue's passing.
