134. Taking Too Long
They'd taken too long to realise
they were in love; they'd wasted
so much time
just dillydallying about.
Everyone else had known it
for a while, but them?
They hadn't quite accepted it
until their lips were locked
on a tooth-strewn floor
And then the time they had together
seemed so short-lived
they could have hit themselves
for their stupidity.
They could have died
with sharing only that one kiss
together.
They were lucky they didn't; they didn't die
with that regret, but lived on
and had their happily ever after
together.
