144. The Other End of her Temper

He'd heard of her famous temper
but it was a rare treat to see it up close
even when directed at him

Though, to be fair, he deserved it
for pretending to be dead and all,
going off without saying even
goodbye

Or explaining at all

But he'd come back
and that was what counted:
that they had the whole world together
in which to be angry and sad and happy
and to dream…

And he realised just how little he'd seen of her
in the past seven years: how he hadn't seen
how her hair flared up like a fire
with her temper
or how her brown eyes seemed almost
earth red and her lips a shining pink

And he couldn't help but fall in love with her
all over again.
