146. One Wish
If he could wish for just one thing
it would be to take back those destructive words
that'd ripped the only one he ever loved apart
until she was far from him and dead
and gone…
If only he hadn't said that
and driven her away,
she could have been saved,
she could have still been with him
And he wouldn't have had to lose her
in the two worst possible ways
But there was no way
to take back the past; he'd said that hateful thing
without a thought, and now it was done,
too late to take back
But there was no future too look towards
without her.
