151. First Out

He was shaking
when he first asked her out
but she said yes
and he'd almost shook himself
into limpness

But he needed his wits about
because she tickled them oh so much
and he wound up a little more
before she laughed and told him to relax.

He did, and they had a blast after that
and they'd even laugh about it later on:
the way his knees had knocked together,
his teeth had shook
until he bit into his tongue
and how he'd almost knocked over the chair
holding it out for her

But it was worth it, that nerve-wracking first date
because they went on many more
thereafter

And they had to have started somewhere…
right?
