A/N: Written for the Monthly Het-Tastic Drabble-athlon, Dean/Luna, #092 – wishing upon a star

A Larger Poetry Collection
154. No Stars

There were no stars in the basement
but they made their wish upon one nonetheless –

For freedom, for hope, for victory
and for a safety they could share,
locked away from the world together,
buried in the basement manor
and blind in the dark, together only
because they could talk to each other
and hear them breathe together

But it was far better to be together
than alone, and they grew closer too
until they could feel each other too
in the darkness

And provide a small flicker of comfort
as they looked for the stars
and a place to find a larger hope,
the hope they shared,
together.
