Days had past since Emma had arrived at Regina's castle. It hadn't been anything like before. Regina was the same, but there was no Henry. She was happy there was no Henry because now he was safe but she was lonely.
She wondered what was going on with her family. Had Henry even made it there? Did Regina even let him go? Or was he just stashed somewhere. Emma knew one thing was certain, it didn't matter how mad Regina would get at her. She needed to contact her parents.
She did have a plan. Regina had a man who would bring the mail back and forth through the enchanted forest. All Emma had to hide the note inside. It would be easy.
Emma thought wrong because the mailroom was guarded. Four of them stood there, at the front door. Emma saw the mailman gathering what he needed.
Emma walked up the the guards, she went past them as if she was allowed. The one on the right of her grabbed her by the arm and said "where do u think you're going?"
Emma said "Regina wanted me to bring this to be sent out."
The guard stood in silence for a second and said "you don't have permission from your mother to be here."
Emma said "she isn't my mother, she's the one who told me to bring this here. It's an important letter."
Before the guard could speak Regina suddenly walked out of the shadows without Emma noticing. Emma jumped as Regina said "if I had you hand deliver it dear, it must be important."
The guard seemed fairly confused as the letter suddenly left Emma's hand and appeared info Regina's.
Emma looked down at her now empty hands and said "Regina give that back. It doesn't belong to you."
Regina laughed wickedly and said "yes it is, remember it was my important letter." She started to open it.
Emma went towards Regina trying to rip the letter away. Regina backed up just in time as she started to read it "dear mother and father, I need to know if Henry is with you. I am all right, I don't think Regina is going to hurt me. But once I know Henry is save, I will fight for you. Love Emma"
Regina seemed to become angry, Emma looked at the floor. Avoiding eye contact as to not make her any more angry then she was. Emma heard Regina ripping up the letter, she watched as the little pieces fell to the floor.
Regina roughly grabbed Emma's chin forcing her to look her in the eyes and she said "what gave you the idea I wouldn't hurt you Emma?"
Emma didn't speak, she tried to read Regina. She wasn't so sure Regina wouldn't hurt her. Not anymore.
Regina's grip on her chin increased as she said "answer me."
Emma said "I don't know, I just didn't."
Regina said "you're going to fight for them are you. Do you remember our deal dear. You have given yourself to me, to save Henry. A deals a deal, and there will be consequences if you try and break it. Do you understand me Emma."
Emma nodded and Regina let go of her chin. Regina said "follow me."
Emma made sure to keep some space between them as she followed Regina. When they got to the hall of mirrors Regina stopped and waved her hand and Sydney appeared. He said " what would you like to see my queen?"
Regina said "show me Henry."
Emma said "Sydney what are you doing in there?"
He didn't answer her instead Henry appeared he was on a horse, charming riding next to him. Emma watched in silence, it made her happy knowing Henry was save. But it also sent a sharp pain in her heart knowing that she might never get her parents back, she wanted what Henry had.
Regina said " see I have kept up my end of the deal and now so will you."
Emma said "you're never going to let me go are you."
Regina looked back at her and said "not as long as those idiots are still breathing no. I won't lose you to them."
Emma said "I'm never going to let you hurt them."
Regina said "then you're never going to leave this castle, which is what I want. You will be here with me forever."
Emma said "that's cruel Regina, if you really loved me you would let me go."
Regina said "that's not how I see it dear, I'm fighting for you because I love you." Regina put her hand on each side of Emma's face and brought her close. Kissing her on her forehead and said " I'm never going to let you go."
She then left leaving Emma to watch as Henry and charming played swords with one another.
