Warning: This is going to be very fluffy. Aaand a little something else;)

"Caroline." Klaus called out after several minutes of silence.

He had been watching the blonde pace back and forth in his room while shooting him glances that were a mix of confusion, anger and uncertainty. The patience he tried so hard to uphold was running out and the calm expression on his face covered over a chaos of emotions.

"You… you killed Jenna in the sacrifice." Caroline stated with a small stutter and stood still for only a second before she started moving again. "And Elena and Jules. Actually, Jules is fine. She was a bitch."

Klaus' brow rose in surprise and he did his best to hide a smile at Caroline's unwilling display of humor.

"I did." was all the hybrid said and kept quiet as he waited for Caroline to continue. He didn't know if she was going to mention every bad thing he had done, but at least she was talking.

"And it's your fault Stefan and Elena broke up." she then accused him with a pointed finger and Klaus frowned in confusion. Was this really what she chose to focus on?

"Pardon me, love. I'm not sure I follow." Klaus told her as he took a step closer to her and Caroline immediately stilled.

"You made Stefan go all Ripper. And now he's here?! You're friends!" the blonde exclaimed while gesturing her hands wildly. With a heavy sigh she then turned her back on him, only to spin back around the next moment.

"You killed Tyler's mom and twelve of your own hybrids all in one night!" Caroline continued and to his surprised she didn't seem angry. But there was a disappointed look in her eyes that Klaus hated. "And I killed twelve people."

"Caroline…" Klaus tried as he noticed the pained expression on her face, but she held up her hands to stop him from coming closer.

"And you slept with Hayley of all people and had a freaking baby! And I hated you but then I didn't. I mean in Spain we almost-" Caroline rambled on but interrupted herself as she realized what she was about to say. Klaus looked at her expectantly and this time he was unable to hide the smirk on his lips.

"Shut up." Caroline mumbled at him and a small smile tugged at her lips as well. The tension in her body was already slowly leaving and she found herself thinking of their last time together. A time where she had been dangerously close to actually falling in love with the hybrid.

"I didn't say anything." Klaus replied amusedly and watched with curiosity how Caroline suddenly became serious once more.

"You always said so much." Caroline said with a thoughtful voice and she stepped closer until she was right in front of him. "You always use such big words."

There was a long silence between them as they both thought back to one particular moment. However long it takes, indeed. Caroline then let out a heavy sigh and she looked to the floor with what almost seemed like shame.

"I left you." Caroline stated apologetically and Klaus couldn't stop himself from reaching out and pulling her closer.

Her head rested on his shoulder as he stroked her hair soothingly and Klaus found himself being confused as to how they had ended here. Gently, he grabbed her shoulders and pushed her out of his embrace to look at her closely.

"I expected you to be mad at me, love." he told her with a frown and Caroline let out a humorless laugh.

"I am." she told him with a shrug that brought a hard expression to his face, but Caroline surprised him by reaching up and placing her soft hand against his cheek. "But I forgave you, remember?"

"It's actually funny." Caroline then laughed and just the sound of it made Klaus smile. "The expression is to forgive but not forget. Not the other way around."

Klaus couldn't laugh at her attempted humor, but he smiled down at her none the less. Caroline's thumb stroked his cheek once before she dropped her hand.

"So… Now that we're done fighting, could we get out of here?" Caroline asked cheerfully and looked at him with a pleading look that made him sigh dejectedly.

"You still need to rest, sweetheart. And you need more blood as well." he told her with a pointed look and Caroline sigh mimicked his own.

"Fine! I'll take a nap." Caroline agreed reluctantly as she sat down on Klaus' bed and then fell backwards with her legs still hanging over the edge.

"And what then?" Klaus suddenly asked with an uncharacteristic insecurity and Caroline sat back up to look at the hybrid.

"I'm not going anywhere, Klaus." she tried to assure him and for a moment he almost looked embarrassed for asking. "Besides, I made this mess. It's time I cleaned it up."

"What will you do with Tyler?" Klaus inquired carefully, feeling his blood boil with anger. He had already let the mutt live past his expiration date, but he wasn't going to kill Tyler unless Caroline wanted him to.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Caroline told him and Klaus was acutely aware of her use of 'we'.

"Which will be soon."

"I know." Caroline replied disheartened and fell back on the bed with a tired sigh. Klaus' eyes fell on her hair that was now sprawled across the covers and then on her chest that was rising steadily as if she was already asleep.

"Get some sleep, love and then we'll talk about this later." Klaus said quietly and Caroline nodded with closed eyes before she – to Klaus' amusement – clumsily scooted backwards to the head of the bed. Soon she was buried beneath the covers and had curled into a small ball in her sleep.

Klaus stared at her for a few minutes before he returned to the chair from where he had last watched her sleep and opened the book he had been reading once again. As expected not a single word settled into his mind.

Instead of going directly to Henrik's room, Rebekah took a detour past her brother's room and she stood in the hall as she listened to his and Caroline's conversation with quiet interest. The usual silencing spell Niklaus had on his room was gone in favor of Davina's barrier spell and Rebekah remained completely still as to not be heard.

She knew how angry her brother would be for her eavesdropping, but curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction made it come back. Luckily, Rebekah had more than nine lives. The blonde Original didn't notice the smile that spread on her lips as she heard the interaction between Caroline and Klaus. When her brother ordered the baby vampire to get some more sleep, Rebekah left her spot soundlessly.

Rebekah was surprised by how little noise that came from her nephew's room as she came closer and walked in to find it empty. The Original frowned in confusion and left the room to go downstairs. She had been certain that Henrik still was with Stefan since that was how she had left them, but now neither of them were anywhere in sight.

"Kol!" Rebekah called out loudly as she moved down the stairway, hoping that her brother might know their whereabouts and she struggled not to laugh as a panicked Kol ran from the living room to the main hall.

"Shut up, Bekah!" Kol hissed at her and the blonde raised a brow in question. "Henrik is asleep. If you wake him up then he's your problem!"

"Where's Stefan?" she inquired with searching eyes and a devious smirk overtook her brother's features.

"He must be sulking somewhere over the sweet Caroline. You should check the library. If you even know where that is, of course." Kol told her and took a small step back when Rebekah glared at him. He wasn't as indestructible as he used to be after all.

"So did he just drop off Henrik with you?" Rebekah asked skeptically as she moved to look inside the living room, where Henrik was fast asleep on one of the sofas.

"No. The poor vampire looked tired so I told him that I would look after Henrik. He said he would be in the library." Kol explained in a low voice as he sat down on the sofa opposite from his nephew.

"You look tired as well." Rebekah said with a small frown and couldn't help but worry at the sight of the dark circles under her brother's eyes. Her thousand year old brother suddenly looked older and Rebekah felt a pang of sadness hit her.

"Me? I'm perfectly fine as always." Kol told her with a wink and Rebekah rolled her eyes at his arrogance. At least that had disappeared along with his immortality. "Go find your lover boy."

"He's not-" Rebekah started to object, but gave up with a small sigh. She would never be able to convince Kol anyway. Especially when she had trouble convincing herself. Rebekah didn't say another word as she turned on her heel and moved towards the library.

"He's somewhere sulking over the sweet Caroline".

Rebekah shook her head to get rid of the thought. Kol was just messing with her because that was what Kol did, vampire or not. Even after five years of not seeing each other, Caroline and Stefan seemed close, but that didn't mean that they were anything more than friends. Did it?

The blonde Original hated the uncertain feeling that settled in her stomach and found herself irritated with Caroline's presence for the 50th time within the last couple of days. Rebekah knew that she was being silly since she hadn't seen any evidence of lingering feelings between the two, but on the other hand she hadn't really spent that much time with them together.

Rebekah opened the door to the small library without knocking and couldn't help but glare back, when Stefan looked at her with surprise. The blonde stopped just within the room with her arms crossed in front of her and she kept her eyes on the Salvatore vampire, who sat in a small sofa with an auburn colored drink in his hand. It looked suspiciously liked whiskey.

"And what do you think you're doing?" Rebekah asked in an annoyed tone that made Stefan frown, but he didn't move from his seat. "Leaving my nephew with Kol?"

"I just needed somewhere to think. Somewhere quiet. And your brother knows how to take care of a five-year old despite what all of you think." he told her pointedly, but Rebekah ignored his jab at her. Instead she moved further into the room and stopped a couple of meters from him.

"Thinking about Caroline, are we?" the Original mocked with a small smile that made Stefan roll his eyes.

"Yes. I am thinking about my friend, who almost died last night." Stefan replied with a small tilt of his head and returned the smile she was sending him. Rebekah cursed him inwardly because he always managed to see right through her, but her expression remained stoic.

"I didn't know friends spent so much time thinking about each other." Rebekah said casually as she started moving around in the room, looking at the books she had already read at least ten times.

"You should get one. Then you wouldn't have to interrogate me about it." Stefan suggested with a smirk on his lips and Rebekah's face fell slightly.

"You seem bothered." Rebekah then said with a sweet smile and edged closer to Stefan once more.

"I'm tired, Rebekah." he told her with a sigh and took a large sip of his drink. "Just tell me what you want so we can get on with our lives."

"Fine." Rebekah huffed with an offended look in her eyes and walked over to stand right in front of the sofa he was still sitting in. "I'm just trying to help you, Stefan. Because Nik won't like it when he finds out about your crush on Caroline."

The reaction she got wasn't what she had expected and she took a small step back as Stefan started laughing with an overly amused look in his green eyes. A scowl appeared on Rebekah's face and the other vampire seemed to struggle as he tried to stop his laughing.

"Thank you. I needed that." Stefan told her with a wide smile, but Rebekah wasn't convinced that he wasn't lying.

"You can't fool me, Stefan. You and Caroline haven't seen each other for five years and yet you are already back to being this close. Something like that doesn't just happen if all you are is friends." Rebekah said in an eerie calm voice as she leaned forward so her face was only centimeters from Stefan's.

"It does with Caroline." Stefan answered with a shrug, not fazed by Rebekah's attempt to intimidate him. He had spent too much time with Klaus to really be intimidated by anyone. Except for Caroline, who was a whole other kind of scary. "Caroline and I have as many feelings for each other as you and Kol have."

"Ew." Rebekah exclaimed indignantly and with a wrinkled nose as she stood up straight. "Does Caroline feel the same way?"

"Yes."

"And how do I know that you're not lying?" Rebekah asked with a mischievous gleam in her eyes as she suddenly had an idea.

"Because I'm not." Stefan said with a tired sigh and looked as if he was about to leave the room.

"Prove it then." Rebekah told him with a smirk and Stefan watched with a frown as the blonde removed the glass from his hand, downed the rest of it and placed it on a table beside him.

"What are you-" Stefan started with a confused voice as Rebekah suddenly straddled over his lap, but he was cut off by her plumb lips crashing down on his. Stefan remained completely still for seconds but with a roll of her hips, Rebekah coaxed him into kissing her back.

The kiss soon deepened and Stefan elicited a small moan from Rebekah as his hands traveled up her thighs to settle on her ass. Their breathing gradually became heavier as their lips moved frantically against each other and Rebekah pressed herself harder against Stefan as her hands moved to the hem of his shirt.

The kiss only broke when Rebekah tore the shirt over his head and the blonde's head fell backwards as Stefan started placing wet kisses down the valley of her breasts. Rebekah couldn't help but smile triumphantly into the air, but the feeling of being in Stefan's arms once more also produced another feeling that she more than anything wanted to ignore.

This didn't mean a thing. Nothing at all.

"Ugh." Caroline groaned with disgust as she rolled over, only to find Klaus staring at her.

She had been trying to fall asleep for the last twenty minutes, but with Klaus in the room that seemed nearly impossible. And now she was haunted with sounds of her best friend doing unspeakable things to a certain Original vampire.

Caroline usually found it calming to listen to her surroundings as she slowly drifted to sleep, but after that experience she was never doing it again. She hadn't meant to listen in on their conversation about her and she had grown gradually more horrified as moans replaced their talking.

"I thought you were asleep." Klaus said with a surprised expression and Caroline tried to hide the appalled expression on her face.

"I am trying." Caroline told him sourly as she grabbed a pillow and threw it over her head.

"What are you doing?" the hybrid asked confusedly and Caroline could hear the amusement in his voice.

"Trying to block out all the noise." Caroline muffled voice sounded from under the pillow and she shivered slightly at the newly acquired trauma.

"What noise? I've been completely silent, love."

"Nothing." Caroline exclaimed a little too quickly as she sat up in the bed. There was a suspicious look in Klaus' eyes and Caroline put on an innocent face that didn't seem to work.

"Then why do you have that look on your face?"

"What look?"

"The look of indignation that you do so well." Klaus replied and Caroline scowled at him before answering.

"It's nothing, I swear." she said and her eyes widened in horror as a concentrated look appeared in Klaus' eyes.

Before she could think twice about it, Caroline had flashed to his chair and placed her hands over his ears. There was a mix of surprise and irritation in the look Klaus sent her, but Caroline didn't move.

"You don't want to hear this. Trust me." she told him in an insistent voice and Klaus stared at her for a long moment before seemingly giving up. Slowly, Caroline removed her hands and took a quick step back, when she noticed their proximity.

"Tell me." Klaus ordered quietly and Caroline held back a scoff. Just as she remembered him.

"Klaus, you really don't wanna know." she tried to assure him as she sat back on the bed, but the hybrid just looked at her expectantly. "Okay. It's Stefan… and Rebekah. And they are… exercising in the library."

"Exercising?" Klaus asked with a surprisingly smug smile and Caroline felt a blush creep to her cheeks. Apparently, the Original hybrid didn't seem that bothered that his friend was doing his sister somewhere inside the walls of his house. It seems as if a thousand years gave you that kind of tolerance.

"Afraid to use the word, are we?" he continued amusedly and Caroline's lips pursed in indignation.

"No." she answered with feigned casualty and crossed her arms in front of her.

She had no problem talking about sex. Klaus just wasn't her preferred partner for that conversation. The smile on Klaus lips just grew and an idea suddenly popped into her mind. She would teach him not to be so smug.

"I'm perfectly fine talking about sex." she told with an emphasis on the last word. She then stood up and moved to the middle of the room, away from Klaus' reach.

"In fact, let me prove it to you." she said in a sweet voice and with a tilt of her head, making Klaus' eyes narrow quickly. She quickly decided to keep her 'relationship' with Damon out of it. "My first time was with this guy called Dean. That was awkward. After him was Matt and he was nice, as expected."

"Caroline." Klaus warned quietly as he realized what she was doing, but the blonde continued undeterred.

"The third was Tyler, of course. That was wild." she continued with a laugh and took a step away as Klaus stood from his chair.

"Caroline, stop talking." Klaus growled as he moved closer to her and Caroline gradually moved backwards.

"Who's being sensitive now?" she teased and made a reminiscing expression appear on her face. "Well, then I went to Europe and I met this guy named Pierre in France. Magnifique! After that was-"

Caroline didn't get to finish as she was suddenly pushed against the wall that stood closely behind her and Klaus held his hand over her mouth. Her blue eyes held a smug expression that suddenly darkened as Klaus leaned in.

"You shouldn't provoke me when you have no means of escape, love." the hybrid muttered darkly as he removed his hand from Caroline's mouth and she felt a sudden shiver run down her spine as his hot breath fanned over her skin.

"I'm stronger than you." Caroline replied with raised eyebrows and smirk on her lips.

"Are we absolutely sure about that?" Klaus whispered into her ear and then leaned back to look at her.

There was a challenging look in Caroline's eyes that made him smile and he suddenly found himself pushed away. Before Caroline managed to escape his reach, he had pushed her against the wall once more. But this time she had her front against it and Klaus pressed against her back as he leaned in to speak.

"That was speed, sweetheart." he mused with a smirk on his lips that Caroline felt against her cheek. She could feel her body heating up at his proximity and inhaled sharply as she was pressed harder against the wall. "And we've already established that I'm faster."

"I want you to use your strength, Caroline." he told her in a husky voice and the blonde went completely still before she suddenly pushed back and grabbed his arm.

Before Klaus could react, she had twisted it into a painful angle and the hybrid suddenly found himself with his back on his bed as Caroline straddled over him, pinning him down by his wrists. Her eyes were a dark crimson, but they soon returned to their natural blue color and Caroline shot him a cheeky smile.

"So how does it feel to know there's someone who is stronger than the Big Bad Hybrid?" Caroline teased with a smug grin and didn't seem to notice the compromising position they were in.

"Surprisingly good." Klaus retorted before he flipped them over with a quick movement. A small yelp of surprise escaped Caroline's lips and she instinctively wrapped one of her legs around Klaus to hold on.

A shaky breath left her as she noticed that Klaus was now between her legs and her dress had pooled at the top of her thighs. Klaus was raised above her with a hand on each side of her head, but his darkened eyes bore right into hers.

Subconsciously Caroline let her tongue run over her dry lips and Klaus' gaze immediately dropped to them. She lay completely still as Klaus slowly leaned down, only to stop a few centimeters from her lips. Once again she could feel his breath on her and before she had time to hesitate; Caroline lifted herself up.

A small sigh left Caroline as their lips met in a soft kiss, but the sound she had emitted made Klaus lose the control he had maintained for days and his lips started moving against Caroline's with untamed desire. The shallow kisses lasted only for a few seconds and soon their tongues found each other in a heated dance.

Klaus kissed her as if he was a starved man and when his fingers dug into her thigh roughly, Caroline bit his lower lip in response. She regretted it slightly as Klaus suddenly broke their kiss, but his lips never left her as they instead traveled down her jaw towards her neck.

Caroline was pressed against the bed with the whole of Klaus' body and a tell-tale feeling was spreading in her abdomen. She let out a moan as her fingers raked through Klaus' hair and then crawled under his shirt to find his bare skin. Klaus growled against the skin of her neck as her nails dug into his back and Caroline smiled in satisfaction.

A sudden knock on the door left Caroline frozen and when Elijah's voice sounded from the hall, she pushed Klaus away with such force that he flew off the bed and landed on the floor with a grunt.

"Niklaus?" Elijah called politely and Caroline wondered how much he had heard. She cast a glance at Klaus, who was still at the floor, glaring at the door and she realized he wasn't going to open it.

With quick movements Caroline brushed her fingers through her still damp curls and straightened her dress before she opened the door with a smile.

"Miss Forbes." Elijah greeted with a nod and then looked past her into the room. "Am I disturbing?"

"No."

"Yes."

Their answers came simultaneously and Caroline turned to glare at Klaus, who was on his feet once more. Elijah immediately felt the tension in the room and quickly moved his gaze back to Caroline.

"I just came to see if you were feeling better." Elijah told her with a considerate glance and Caroline smiled at him gratefully.

"I am, thank you." Caroline replied with a nod and was adorned with one of Elijah's rare smiles.

"Anything else?" Klaus asked rudely from behind her and Caroline sent the hybrid another glare that he only returned with a smirk, making Caroline blush slightly. Maybe Elijah's interruption had been for the better since Caroline was sure they wouldn't have been able to stop otherwise.

But for the life of her Caroline couldn't figure out if she was slightly relieved or really irritated by it. Because in the moment it had felt right, but she wasn't sure this was the right time… or place, where everyone could hear them.

Besides, there was something profoundly disturbing about the thought of being with Klaus while Stefan and Rebekah were getting it on in another part of the house. A shiver went through her body as the gross image crossed her mind and she looked up to see Elijah stare at her funnily.

"No." the Original replied slowly with his eyes still on Caroline and she prayed to God that Elijah didn't have some freaky mind reading skill. Because then he would traumatized for the rest of his immortal life. Of course, she would then have someone to share the misery with.

"Wait! How's Henrik?" Caroline asked quickly, when it looked as if Elijah was about to leave.

"He is quite fine." Elijah told her with a serious nod that made Caroline smile elevated. He then turned to Klaus with an amused smirk on his lips. "And looking very much forward to receiving a dog from our sister."

"Ooh, is he getting a puppy?" Caroline chirped happily and sent Klaus a bright smile, but the hybrid only looked annoyed as he came to stand beside her. Caroline ignored the tingling feeling that spread on her arm, where Klaus' shirt brushed her bare skin and watched him expectantly instead.

"No." Klaus deadpanned as he met her gaze for a couple of seconds and then turned to look at his brother. "Where is my son by the way?"

"I met him in the kitchen a short minute ago. He told me that Kol had fallen asleep in the living room and that he was now looking for Stefan. He didn't want my help so I suggested he took his search to the library." Elijah told them calmly and made a small jump at Caroline's sudden outburst, which Klaus would have found funny if he wasn't worried about his son having nightmares for the next ten years.

"NO! He can't go in there! You have to get him now." Caroline ordered and took a step forward as if she thought she could run after the boy himself.

"And why is that?" Elijah asked with a frown, not sure how he felt about the baby vampire's bossing tone.

"Elijah, you will find my son now." Klaus almost growled at him and there was an almost desperate look in the hybrids eyes that made Elijah nod and flash away.

Bonnie didn't knock before she entered the Mikaelson home so she was slightly surprised when a five-year old boy suddenly stood right in front of her. Henrik was looking at her with curious eyes and Bonnie smiled down at him before squatting in front of him.

"Hey Henrik." she greeted the boy with a smile that the kid quickly returned. It looked as if Henrik had forgotten all about what had happened only an hour ago and Bonnie couldn't help but feel relieved. "What are you doing out here in the hall?"

"Me and uncle Kol were sleeping but then I woke up. Do you know where Stefan is?" Henrik asked without the shyness you would experience with other children. Henrik knew Bonnie, but they hadn't spent that much time together and barely any on their own.

"No, I just got here. Maybe you should try the kitchen?" Bonnie suggested as she pointed in the direction Henrik had to go and the boy's eyes followed her finger with a thoughtful expression before he nodded.

"Do you need any help?" she called after him as Henrik turned on his heels and hopscotched in the direction of the kitchen.

"I'm fine!" Henrik called over his shoulder without stopping. "But I think uncle Kol might need a blanket!"

Bonnie looked in astonishment at the doorway Henrik had disappeared through and then shook her head with a small laugh. The boy really was something else; a miracle baby in more than one way.

"Kol?" Bonnie then called softly as she moved towards the living room, where she figured the pair had been sleeping.

On the floor inside the room were a few toys and a blanket was spread over an empty sofa. On the other sofa lay Kol's long body and Bonnie couldn't help but smile as she saw the peaceful look on the former vampire's face.

She put her grimoires, which she had just picked up from her apartment, on the coffee table and grabbed the blanket Henrik probably had used. Bonnie tried to remain completely silent as she moved over to place the blanket over Kol.

He had once told her that he hadn't gotten used to fall into the heavy sleep humans usually did, because you didn't have to do it as a vampire. It was probably one of many things that caused the dark circles under Kol's eyes.

A small scream left her as she dropped the blanket on him and a pair of strong hands suddenly grabbed her wrists. In a quick movement he had pulled her down over him and she found herself looking down on a smirking Kol.

"What are you doing?" Bonnie growled at him and noticed with a blush how one of her legs was placed between his.

"Just making myself comfortable." Kol told her with a playful look in his eyes and Bonnie huffed irritated. "Wasn't that what you were trying to do?"

"Yes. By putting a blanket over you. Not me." Bonnie replied with a roll of her eyes and moved to get up, only to be pulled down once more.

"But I'd rather have you, darling." Kol said with a fake pout and Bonnie felt an unwilling smile tug in the corner of her mouth.

"Where is Henrik?" he then asked as he noticed his nephew was missing and Bonnie had to lift her head so her lips didn't connect with Kol's cheek as he turned his head.

"I just met him in the hall. He said that you were asleep so he was going to find Stefan. I told him to check the kitchen." Bonnie informed the former Original and a worried expression appeared on Kol's face. "He'll be fine, Kol."

"I told Stefan that I would watch him, but I couldn't keep my eyes open." Kol told with an almost shameful look in his eyes and Bonnie instantly felt bad for him.

"You are tired. Which is a perfectly human thing to be. Especially when you spent most of the night torturing someone." Bonnie replied with a soothing voice and shot him a glare, when he smirked at her last words.

"I shouldn't have fallen asleep while I looked after Henrik." Kol then said as he let his head fall back heavily and Bonnie let out a small sigh.

"No, but you need sleep, Kol. Your siblings need to realize that." she told him in a stern voice that for some reason made him smile. Bonnie didn't notice that Kol had let go of her wrists and her hands were now placed against his chest to hold her up.

"I didn't know you cared so much, love." Kol teased with that devious gleam in his eyes that she had come to know so well.

"Of course I do." Bonnie told him with an awkward shrug and suddenly had to look away from his eyes. "You're my friend."

"Really, Bonnie? You think we're friends?" Kol asked with an annoyed tone she wasn't used to hear from him. Or at least not turned against her. She met his gaze for a short moment before she had to look away once more.

"I can't help that you're practically stalking me! I don't even understand how you managed to get the apartment beside mine. Hadn't some girl just moved in?" Bonnie exclaimed with equal annoyance and hoped that Kol would accept her change of topic. Because she wasn't ready for the other talk. Not yet.

"I used my charm." Kol told her with a small wink, but he clearly knew what Bonnie was doing. "And I made Stefan compel her to move."

"Stefan?!" Bonnie questioned incredulously, feeling slightly betrayed by her friend.

"He owed me a favor after his ex-girlfriend killed me." Kol explained with a bitter voice and now it was Bonnie's turn to feel shameful. She hadn't help end his life, but she had been somewhat in on their plan. She had just been a little late to the "party".

"You're hopeless." Bonnie laughed at him and she was happy to see mirth return to his brown eyes.

"That's what you love about me." he said with lifted eyebrows and Bonnie rolled her eyes playfully.

"How is Caroline?" Kol then asked when a weird silence fell between them and Bonnie was happy with the distraction.

"She's okay. Tired, but she'll be fine. Your brother is a whole other talk, though." Bonnie said with a small smile and a confused expression appeared on Kol's face. "Caroline is making him show her everything she has forgotten through that weird mind link that the Immortality Spell gave them."

"So she is going to remember everything?"

"Or at least know what happened. I'm just worried about how her body is going to react. I don't think the spell wants her to remember. It hasn't so far." Bonnie admitted with a small voice and then watched with bathed breath as Kol slowly reached up.

His eyes were on his hand as he tucked Bonnie's short hair behind her ear. She had had her hair cut in a page shortly after their return from the Other Side. Kol had told her that he loved it and Bonnie had rolled her eyes. After all this time she still wasn't used to the attention. It had always been Caroline and Elena that the boys looked after.

"How long have you known about her?" Kol asked quietly as he let his hand fall from her face and once again Bonnie found it hard to look him in the eyes.

He had that effect on her, because he always seemed able to stare right through her. She felt vulnerable around Kol – in a good way – but that wasn't something she had been allowed to be before. Everyone had always expected her to be strong and fix all of the mess the Salvatores and Elena caused.

"Ever since they killed Silas. It was me who convinced the witches on the Other Side to help with transferring the Immortality Spell to Caroline." Bonnie revealed with an apologetic voice and shot Kol a wary glance. He didn't look angry or hurt. Just surprised.

"I must say that I'm impressed, darling. You managed to fool me for five years." Kol said with a small laugh and Bonnie let her head fall to his chest in shame.

"I'm sorry." Bonnie said with a muffled voice, but didn't see the adoring smile on Kol's lips. "The witches made me promises not to tell and I had to protect Caroline."

"I understand, Bonnie." Kol told with a serious voice as he reached up and lifted Bonnie's head from his chest so she would look at him. "You stayed loyal to your friend and I admire that."

For a long moment she was mesmerized by the soft look in his eyes and before she realized what she was doing, Bonnie leaned down and placed her lips onto Kol's. His response was immediate and Bonnie smiled into the kiss as Kol's hand reached behind her neck and pulled her closer.

The kiss was slow and gentle, but Bonnie's heart was racing and she could feel Kol's do the same under her palm. Their lips parted when they both needed to breathe and Bonnie lifted her head to meet Kol's eyes. She smiled at him shyly as he once again reached up and tugged her hair behind her ear.

"Why did you do that?" Kol asked in a husky voice and Bonnie almost felt like laughing because Kol didn't seem as the type to question it if someone started kissing him.

"Because I wanted to." Bonnie replied with a small sigh and a familiar smirk appeared on Kol's lips.

"Then I hope you don't mind if I do this." Kol told her with a playful look in his eyes before he leaned up and caught Bonnie's lips in a heated kiss.

His arm snaked around Bonnie's waist as he pulled her closer once more and the witch inhaled sharply as she felt Kol's tongue brush over her lower lip. Their tongues met as Kol moved to sit up and Bonnie swung her leg over his so she was straddling his hips instead of just his one leg.

When she felt Kol's hand creep under her shirt and his fingers raked over her bare skin, Bonnie was certain that she her heart would burst out of her chest. Their foreheads touched as they held a small pause to breathe and Kol smiled at her lovingly as her fingers duck into his biceps.

Their third kiss was something else altogether and made the whole of Bonnie's body hum with need. It reminded her of that one time on the Other Side, where Kol had stolen a kiss and they had ended up making out against a tree before Bonnie fled the scene. But they had been death then and now they were so alive.

"Kol? Have you seen-" Elijah's voice sounded from the hall and Bonnie wasn't quick enough to pull away before the Original walked into the living room. "For heaven's sake."

Bonnie felt a deep blush cover her skin and she quickly pushed Kol's hands away from under her shirt. Of course, that didn't help much since she was still straddling over him and her hair probably was a mess. Elijah didn't look surprised by the scene in front of him, but rather terribly annoyed.

"What have I done to deserve this?" Bonnie thought she heard the Original mumble as he pinched the bridge of his nose and she looked down at Kol, who was smirking at his brother.

"What is it, brother? We are quite busy here." Kol asked Elijah casually and Bonnie gasped in indignation.

"Kol!" she exclaimed alarmingly as she punched his shoulder hard and a small painful noise escaped Kol.

"I was looking for Henrik." Elijah explained calmly as he tried to keep his eyes solely on his brother.

"He went to the kitchen to look for Stefan." Bonnie quickly told him, eager to get out of the awkward situation.

"Yes, I met him there, but now he is missing once more. But I might have an idea where to find him. Thank you for your help, miss Bennett." Elijah responded with a polite nod and spun on his heel to leave. "And please, both of you have your own apartments. Next to each other. Make use of them."

"Don't be so grumpy, Lijah! Just because you had your fun in New York…" Kol called after his brother, but Elijah had already disappeared.

Another pained noise sounded from Kol, when Bonnie hit him once more and he met her glare with a smirk. Before Bonnie could stop him, Kol had leaned forward and was kissing her once more. Bonnie responded to the kiss for a few seconds before she leaned away and broke it.

"We can't. Not here." she told him in a stern voice and rolled her eyes, when Kol started to pout. "And you seriously need to rest."

"Fine." Kol agreed after a long moment of looking at the Bennett witch with puppy dog eyes. He fell back on the sofa heavily and pulled up the blanket before pulling down Bonnie as well. "But only if you stay."

"Kol, I need to go through my grimoires to see if there's any way around the blocking of our location spells." Bonnie said with a small sigh, but she could already feel how the almost sleepless night was tearing on her energy as well.

"Come on, darling. If you won't sleep with me, the least you can do is sleep with me." Kol complained as he pulled her down beside him and covered her with the blanket as well. Bonnie was still half-draped over him with her head on his chest and she did her best to hide a yawn.

"You're hopeless." Bonnie mumbled into his shirt and she felt Kol's grip around her waist tighten.

"That's what you love about me."
