Greek Disparities
/Ulius semblance is very similar to Weiss' Black runes will appear on his skin, creating various effects, to aid him in combat etc. He can also create them on other objects but it take more concentration.
/Im not amazing at greek mythology, but I know some stuff from the Percy Jackson universe. I may 'invent' some monsters as well. Maybe some monsters who didn't appear in Greek mythology, or godlings that kept quiet while the olympians claimed all the glory. Or maybe some god will just invent a monster, I don't know.
/I dont own Rick Rhiordans works or greek mythology(Obviously) whatever I invent, will be in this particular Fanfic.
/since it is rick rhiordans works, and it is well known that greek/egyptian and Norse legends occupy the same world there maybe a few more ancient mythology etc thrown in the mix.
/As always criticisms welcome. This fanfic is literally just for fun. Il try to be as true to each fandom as possible, but it will not be perfect.
Barus Ena's POV
"NOOOOOOO, ROSEY!" Came the strangled, panic ridden cry.
"SHI-" I Shouted,
"Over there!" Ulius shouted. Taking Crescent Tremulo [A long Staff with a rounded handle that makes an oval, and a crescent moon shaped blade on the top. He used his Runic Semblance to form runes on his feet and propel himself forward with tremendous force. I whipped out my battle axe Shattered Skies, and used the air to launch my self forwards. We arrived in the remains of a battleground and an enormous tree. A figure was falling very quickly towards the ground. It was Rosetta I realised with a start, her blue hair flailing wildly around her, her face cut, bloodied and dazed. Her eyes glazed over.
"Ulius!"
"Got it!" Ulius replied. Altering his course and rushing to catch Rosetta. I looked up and saw a very very different Grimm approaching a very bloodied Louise. She looked close to passing out. A huge wound along her right arm.
The Grimms eyes were a terrifying mix of hunger and hate, but there was also an unsettling intelligence. My blood boiled. The scent of ozone became strong. The air churned with power. I raised Shattered Skies, and concentrated. My aura enhancing the weapon, and its blade crackled with energy. I used the air to propel my self forward. The creature raised its spiked arm and slashed down in a killing blow. Louise's eyes widened.
/Louise's POV
My vision blurred, my throat burned from screaming. I stared down in horror as Rosetta was swiped off of the tree and launched off into impending doom. I share my sisters ability to see and feel aura. Her Aura was weak. She wouldn't survive the fall.
The Creature growled, I turned, seeing the creature eye me hungrily.
"hel..." My voice breaks and dies before I can call for help. No one would here me anyway. The creature takes a monstrous step forward. Then another, in seconds the creatures is right on top of me. Less than a meter away. It raises its enormous spike.
Suddenly the air becomes Electric. The scent of Ozone thick in the air.
"Barus.." I whisper. "your too late..." The spike drops down. A surge of lightning and a large blur fill my vision. Its blinding, the sound of thunder Impossibly Loud, bursting my ear drums and filling my head with pain.
The Grimms blow never lands. I'm safe. I slump down in relief. "Rosetta..." My voice catches and I burst in to tears.
"...Is fine" A voice says, and I look up. Ulius is standing there with a broken, but very much alive Rosetta in his hands. Ulius sets her down gently. "I'm glad your Okay." Rosetta says in a hoarse whisper. She sounds pained, but she is smiling broadly.
There is an incredibly loud screech, followed by a thunder clap and the clash of steel on bone.
"I think Barus has got this." Ulius says concerned. "No other Grimm will lay a claw on you today." Ulius says smiling. "I think breaking the rules actually turned out to be a good thing."
I stared Out as Barus battled the creature, forcing it back into a corner. Something was wrong however. Some kind of energy was building up around it. One that Barus or Ulius couldn't detect.
I looked over at Rosetta. If the concern on her face was anything to go by, I'd say that she can see it too.
"Ulius! You need to get him away from it! Something is wrong!" Rosetta screamed at him.
If Ulius was especially good at anything it was trust. He could pick up on Rosettas voice and the worry mirrored in our features. He also shared the knowledge of Barus' combat arrogance. Barus was a strong fighter, but he got way too into it. He gets this 'bloodlust' in a fight and misses all signs of danger. Ulius leaped down, Black runes on his boots and lands near to Barus. The creature is dazed, a huge open wound stretching from the left shoulder to the waist. I see Ulius exchange some words, trying to pull Barus away from the creature. But Barus was having none of it. He rushed forwards and swung a finisher. The creature roared to life, the energy that had been accumulating around it surging into its central eye. A red beam surged out like a lazer beam, and the creature swept its 'gaze over where Ulius and Barus were . Barely hitting them. The beam cut across the floor creating deep trenches. The creature screeched. And another blast surged towards them, missing by millimeters. The creature, seeing that it had its prey on the run, thrust itself forward whipping its bladed arms around.
Ulius dodged one hand. Barus wasn't so lucky. The blade slashed his waist deep, annihilating His aura and knocking him ten meters in the air and he came back down crashing in a heap on the ground. The creature continued on to finish its prey. Ulius lifted Crescent Tremulo, Focused for a split second, and flames surged into his weapon. He then moved with impossible speed, almost as fast as that red cloaked girl Ruby. Then the air shimmered violently and appeared to shatter. And Ulius, Barus and the Grimm were gone. Just like that.
"What..." Rosetta started.
"Was that..." I finished for her.
The air shimmered again. Then it shattered. Again.
Rosetta's POV
It felt as though I was falling. Falling into oblivion. There was Darkness everywhere. This all lasted for a split second before daylight returned. They were still in a forest, however this forest's trees were a little smaller. The ground wasnt littered with craters. And they were not sitting on the branch of a massive tree. In fact, these trees were a lot smaller than the ones that had surrounded them before.
"Uuuuugh" came the welcome groan of her sisters voice. "That was awful." she mumbled. I had to agree. My body was broken enough as it is. My Aura almost depleted. The last thing I wanted or needed was the imminent threat of forcibly emptying my stomach.
"I feel so sick." I mumbled. "wait, is that a road?" I asked pointing to a pretty obvious break in the forest. The ground was also very different in that area, and someone appeared to be walking there dog. "I wouldnt do that in the emerald forest, what does this guy have a death wish?" As if to answer my question, there was a howl.
"Oh No, Beowolves!" My sister hissed, as a series of dark wolf shapes seemed to materialise around them. But wait, these wolves were very different from the beowolves we know, Instead of standing hunched on two legs, these things had all four paws on the ground. They held the same malevolent hungry red eyes, but there were no bone masks. There were four in total.
I struggled to my feet, drawing Naurus Felinity. My sister's arm was still ruined, so she could only activate a single blade from deathwing.
"Bahahahaha!" Boomed out a monstrous laugh. It chilled me to the bone. A huge hairy man, easily twice my height, and four times as wide stomped into the clearing. He had a silver beard, braided with... were those teeth? He had a huge golden gauntlet that clicked and whirled whenever he moved it or flexed his fingers. Each finger in that arm ended in a brutal long jagged spike. His right hand wasn't much better. Each finger ended in a black talon, and the guy only had a single eye, write in the middle of his forehead. The wolves whined and lowered there heads respectively towards the guy. "Two injured Demi-Gods stuck outside of their camp. How unfortunate. I'll devour you but leave your heads where your friends can find them. Right by that blasted Tree!" He snarled.
I had no Idea what this guy was on about. Demi Gods? Camp? I knew we had to get out, or get to this camp, but this guy wasn't going to let this happen. Nor were these wolves.
"Now now, Eurachtus, you can sense that these are not demi gods can't you? Not human Either. You can see their cute little pointy, furry ears poking out from beneath their hair cant you?" A beautiful woman with flaming hair and two serpent tails for legs slithered out from behind him.
"They still smell like dinner to me!"
"They are not from this world you see. Take them to Orcus! Restrain them!" the wolves growled and responded and leapt on to us. Pinning us both. These things were faster than Beowolves and I was in no state to defend. The most headway I got was a glancing blow to the skull, earning me a yelp and a savage scratch across my shoulder. Louise didn't even react.
"Our Goal was to meet up with that Greek Worm, and get into the Camp! Remove the brood of poseidon!"
"That can still be done," Flame Haired lady snapped. "But we can bag ourselves some outsiders."
"there is something about these girls that we can use..."
/And there you have it. Barus and Ulius are next chapter, then I have no Idea what fandoms I will combine afterwards. After however we will see More (Kill) and later on and their aftermaths.
/Orcus, the Big Dope Eurachtus, and the unique Empousai? Even the Hell hounds are unique. Also the seeds of betrayal, and the threat to Percy. This is the reality a few moths after the war with Gaia.
