Chapter 16 : Please stop the time for a while

-Aomine's POV-

I walked through the silent road, as my heartbeat was the only sound I could hear. I didn't know what I was doing when I decided to carry him. Damn it, he was a guy, how could my heart was beating so fast like this! It was his fault! He was a guy, yet he felt so soft. I even didn't need any effort to carry him on my back! I could feel my face gotten hotter bit by bit.

Wait, I could feel something, beating against my back softly. Could it be… Aoki's heartbeat? It was beating fast too.

"Ne, Ao-kun," I heard his soft voice, "Thank you for walking me home." His voice tickled my ear, damn! I could feel his hot breath near my left ear and neck. Get a hold of yourself, Daiki! Aoki is a guy, a guy!

I looked up to the sky. The air was pretty cool, thanks to the summer breeze. The red sky, getting darker as time passed by. I enjoyed the silence atmosphere, and I felt as if the time stopped.

God, please stop the time for a while, now. I don't care if Aoki is a guy, but I want to savor this feeling, as much as I can, even for a short time.

I frowned. This feeling was not right, but I couldn't help it. This feeling was a sinful one, yet I couldn't deny it. Why did this happen to me? Was it my punishment, for getting ahead of myself, for saying that there was no one who could beat me? I felt as if my heart was beaten into a pulp, for having a crush to someone who wasn't supposed to be loved. Even until this afternoon, when I was still lying in my bed, I still hadn't realized my feelings. Just now, from just a moment ago, this feeling had blasted. Was I getting carried by the mood? You know, with this summer bliss atmosphere, everybody could be carried on by the good mood.

I kept walking, without realizing which way I took. Then, I snapped out of my mind, watched my surrounding. Where was it? Was it the right way? Why Aoki kept silent like this?

"Oi, Aoki, is this the right way to you house? Sorry, I keep on walking till I don't realize which way I have taken."

Silent.

"Oi, Aoki! Answer my question! Oi!"

Then it hit me. His pulse, was getting slower and slower. It was so soft that I barely felt it, even though his body was pressed onto my back. Then his hands fell off from my shoulder.

"A-Aoki! Oi, Aoki! Are you alright?"

What, what should I do? I need to take her to the hospital! But I couldn't handle it by myself. Whom should I call? Think, Daiki, think!

Satsuki.

Yes, I need to call Satsuki! She could handle everything better than me!

I pulled my cellphone roughly from my pocket, and dialed Satsuki's number right away, while I was running, looking for any police.

A second, two seconds…

A policeman was riding a bycicle, coming from the opposite direction. I stopped him to ask the direction to the nearest hospital. After bowed slightly, I ran again. Still, Satsuki hadn't answered my call yet.

Please, Satsuki! Answer my call!

As if the God answered my pray, Satsuki finally answered my call.

"Moshi-moshi, Dai-chan what's wro-"

"Satsuki! Go to 's Hospital, now! I need you to help me!"

"Eeeh? Who…who is sick? Where are you now Dai-chan?" asked Satsuki, confusedly.

"It's Aoki! Now just go there quickly!" I hung up the call, sloppily put my cell phone back to my pocket, then made up Aoki's body so that he wouldn't fall from my back. I tightened my grip on his thighs, and speed up my pace.

"Stay strong, Aoki! I will make it fast to the hospital," I whispered.
