Chapter 19 : It's me who had the objection

"Nakamura-san!" Momoi quickly called them back, "Dai-chan, they are Aoki-chan's parents!"

"Tch, since when you call Aoki as 'Aoki-chan'," grumbled Aomine.

"of course since I knew that she is a girl, only in front of you I didn't call her as Aoki-chan," explained Momoi while she approached toward Aoki's parents.

Aomine wanted to ask Momoi why she didn't tell him right away after she knew that Aoki was a girl, but he didn't. Instead, suddenly he felt something strange from Aoki's parents gaze towards him.

"Satsuki-chan, where is Aoki-chan?"asked Aoki's mother frantically. Her orbs were big and sad, reflecting her inner feelings clearly. You could tell that she nearly fainted due to the news about collapsing Aoki that she heard from Momoi just by looking at her eyes.

"The doctor earlier said that she was alright now, but need to rest a bit. Ah, also Yukiko-san he doctor said that he want t meet Aoki-chan's parents."

Aoki's parents looked at each other, then sighed in unison, relieved for a bit. "That girl, always pushed herself to her limit, though I always make sure that she won't go overboard," said Yukiko, Aoki's mother.

"Um, if I could ask you, is Aoki-chan suffered from a certain disease? She often not feeling well, and as I have asked some of her schoolmates, she rarely go to school, is that true?" asked Momoi. She didn't care as Yukiko and Takatsu looked a bit surprised, since her question indicated that she did some little research on her daughter, but she needed to know about this. She had asked some of Aoki's classmates, but she got nothing. They all didn't sure that Aoki had suffered from certain disease, but she surely rare to be seen in school.

"Um, well we will talk about it later," smiled Yukiko. It was obvious that she tried t avoid Momoi's question, "anyway, thank you so much, Satsuki-chan! I didn't know what will happen if you didn't help and bring Aoki-chan here!" said Yukiko as she hugged Momoi tightly. The said girl, Momoi, nearly couldn't breath by receiving those warm and deadly hug. She tried her best to loosen a bit from Aoki's mother's grasp.

"Ahaha..tha-thank you, Yukiko-san, but actually… I was called out by my friend Dai-chan. He was the one who brought her here," explained Momoi as she turned her head towards her childhood friend.

Both Aoki's parents averted their gaze to the boy. The basketball ace just scratching the back of his head, unknown what to do.

"Is that mean… that Aoki was with you earlier?" asked Yukiko, stepped front.

"Uh, yeah, we had a promise to meet at the basketball court earlier, but I overslept, then…"

"The basketball court? She went there?" asked Takatsu, Aoki's father, suspiciously.

Damn, why suddenly I feel like I'm under pressure, thought Aomine nervously, "Yeah, Aoki often go there to play…"

"SO IT WAS YOU, BRAT!" exploded Yukiko, much to surprise everyone in that hospital front lobby. Both teenagers jerked back, didn't expected that Aoki's mother would engulfed with rage like that. The only one that made them relieved was Takatsu's hands that restrained his wife to wreak her anger to them. They suddenly confused by the scene right in front of their eyes.

"Yukiko, don't make a scene here," calmed Takatsu. He then turned his attention to Momoi and Aomine, "We will see the doctor first, and we will talk about it later." With that he grabbed his wife hand and went to the doctor room.

Momoi fell on the ground, "What, what was that?" she looked shocked, placed her hand on her temple, "Why did she was so angry to us?"

"Who knows?" answered Aomine nonchalantly. At that moment he could see that Yukiko glared to him. This time he became more confused than before.

Yukiko and Takatsu were sat in front of dr. Ryouhei Tamagawa. They knew that Aoki had been at her limit today, since the doctor who had been taking care of her for couple of years, sighed.

"It's getting worse faster than expected," the doctor said, started the conversation, "didn't I suggest to decrease her physical activities?"

"She rarely had it, except for light exercise that you suggested before," answered Yukiko.

"Yes, I know that, it's strange that suddenly she collapse after she hadn't gotten into this state for quite long time."

"But," Yukiko's eyes again glistened by anger, "I think my daughter had lied to us."

"What do you mean?" Now Takatsu asked his own wife.

"Didn't you hear what that boy said earlier? Our daughter had a promise with him to meet at the basketball court. Recently, Aoki-chan often go to watch the street basketballers playing. I had forbidden her to go there, but she promised that she wouldn't do anything except watching the play and to have her medicine on time. It seems like she didn't go like what she had promised to me," regretted Yukiko.

"You should not let her deceived you by her sweet talk in the first place," responded Takatsu, as he leaned back.

The doctor cleared his throat, "Well, it doesn't important now, the one that does matter now is Aoki's condition that getting worse than ever. I did say that she was alright, but it didn't mean that she had detached from the critical condition. I assumed that she will need an operation in the near time."

Nakamura Takatsu left dr. Ryouhei Tamagawa's room, as he glanced back a little from his shoulder. His wife was still in the room with the doctor. He just wanted to see his precious daughter, even if it's just a short glance from outside the room. He had abandoned his daughter, being too focused n his works. He was walking slowly when he found that the teenagers still sat on the bench in the hospital lobby. Soon as he approached those two, they realized his presence. The pink haired girl stood up straight away by a second she realized Aoki's father was walking towards her. Her childhood friend then got up as he saw his companion beside him stood up.

"About what I said earlier," Takatsu opened his mouth first, "it's true that my daughter has 'disease', if we could say it like that, but to be specific, she has lung and heart disorder. That's why, she is prohibited to do physical activities over the limit, and her limit is far below average person, of course."

"Eh? She never told me about it," said Momoi.

Takatsu smiled weakly, "I think I know why my daughter acted like that," said him. Soon the air around them became heavier, "but it's as far as you need to know. Now can you please leave? My daughter need a rest, and also it's getting late."

"It's alright, Sir. I don't object to wait here until he –eh, she… wake up," now Aomine responded.

"But, it's me who had the objection. Should I say it once again? Please leave my daughter," Takatsu said once again.
